"I'll keep a lookout for anything that might give us a clue to narrow down the timespan." Adam nods before he leaves. "And I'll be careful - but given my vision of this city in ruins, I think too much caution might be dangerous, too." He heads out to speak to Alex.
Sayen's eyes glaze over at the long history lesson. She gives up on trying to keep track of all the information thrown at her. @Tjf Alex sets off, leading Adam outside the building and into the August sun. "Why go to the classroom first?" He asks tentatively. @Arachna "Perhaps I should tell you about neurochemical processes in great detail as revenge..." Sayen giggles, seemingly back to her normal, sweet self. "I am concerned about him, though." She sighs. "I have...much to work through now."
"Julia and I are close - she knows my parents really well, and I've known her most of my life. I have this...condition, and since she's knowledgable about it, I wanted to check in with her first. I just don't want it becoming common knowledge that I know her well, so she doesn't get accused of favoritism - which is why I had you keep a lookout." As they reach the nurse's office, Adam leans in, surprising the other boy with a French-style kiss on either cheek. "Thanks for coming with me - it was really sweet. You can head back though, if you don't want to wait."
"Could be interesting. Your notes were incredibly helpful the fist time. This is all a lot to process. I don't even think he fully gets all of it yet and he's been trained up the longest for this out of any of them." Julia could only theorize in her head....but it wasn't exactly easy to do. "Your duel spirit would help you with all of that, I'm sure. From what I've seen, all that really has to happen is for people to hold the card the first time while trying to commune with it. Every once and a while I can speak to Valkyrus without doing those steps...it seems only necessary for establishing the initial communication. I suppose the best way is to just....pull the card from your deck and try it yourself? One person is schizophernia. Two can be a shared psychosis. Four or five is where it becomes worth looking into."
[Sorry, I didn't give you much to go off of there.] Just as the TA begins to speak up to get everyone's attention, Ixchel hurries through the door, joining Felicia and Iliana. "Good morning!" She whispers, peppy as ever. The TA recovers swiftly. "Hi everyone. I'm Kaho Sugimoto, and I'll be in charge of your labs for the semester. Today won't be anything exciting--just looking at some histological cross-sections through your microscopes. Go ahead and get them out--please don't drop them--and have someone from your group take a few slides. Then, sketch what you see. Just raise your hand and call for me if you have any questions or need help."
"Makes sense." The shy student seems to easily accept Adam's explanation. The kisses immensely embarrass Alex, his face turning beet red. "Yeah...I...should get back. Um, I hope you feel better soon." He manages, turning to leave the way they came. A door simply labeled "Clinic" stands before Adam.
"See you later." Adam chuckles, though he tries to make sure the boy is just embarrassed and not uncomfortable at the contact. Turning, he heads into the clinic, giving a sanitised version of what happened in case there's a physical element to his fall to accompany the supernatural.
"Psychosis is always worth investigating. Mass hysteria-" Sayen sounds out the phrase, uncertain with the pronunciation. "-is not an exception. I will attempt this. You should focus on Tomomi." She advises her colleague.
"I will. I don't think it needs to be explained why he wouldn't understand any of this, but...he's not too scary to deal with when you know how to push the right buttons." Julia smirked a bit, though she still knew she'd have to be more careful about her approach than usual as she left to attend the meeting.
Adam enters to find a small, empty waiting room. A woman in a medical labcoat greets him at the front desk. "How can I help you?" Spoiler: Front Desk Woman ----- After leading Adam into an examination room, the woman, introducing herself as head nurse Rena Spyros, listens to his summary of events, asking questions to try getting to the bottom of this. "You've never fainted before? Have you recently made any lifestyle changes? Do you take any drugs--prescribed or otherwise? Don't worry, this is all confidential. Nothing you say leaves the room." Meanwhile, she takes the young man's temperature and other vitals, working busily.
The receptionist, Tiffany, greets Julia as she passes through the double doors to the Admin. Tower. "Good afternoon Professor Meri! I'll let President Yamagishi know you're here." The cheerful, brown-haired woman taps on an intercom, doing just that. "Thank you. Send her up." Tomomi's smarmy voice promptly replies. "Any of the elevators should do. I hope your meeting goes well!" Tiffany wishes Julia luck.
(No worries.) Just when she thought Ixchel would miss class, she comes running through the door. Leaving Felicia to ponder what she was up to, "Good morning." She nods back, just as the TA introduces herself. "Microscopes, huh." The red-head gulps at the mention of not dropping anything. So, how should we divide the work?" She asked in a curious tone, hoping they don't give her the task of getting some samples.
Ixchel looks to the drowsy Iliana and back to Felicia. "You pick one and I'll do the other?" She offers. "I don't think it's a good idea to have the girl who's practically still asleep do either. I'm not going to do your sketching for you, though, Iliana!"
"Alright that seems fair." Felicia nods, forcing a smile. Just keep it together. She thinks to herself as she stands up, and moves to where the samples are. Just breathe, you've already walks all the way here without tripping. The red-head takes one random sample, and returns to their table to place it in the microscope.
Not really able to talk about his lifestyle changes, he sticks to a censored version of the truth. "This is the first time. And I drink socially, but I haven't been out to a bar in a few days. No drugs." He gestures to his athletic figure. "They would ruin this. I just looked into a microscope and immediately passed out."
Julia steps into the elevator. The ride up is smooth and graceful. With a ding, the metal door slides open to reveal another, far smaller, reception area Spoiler: Tower Office Reception A blond-haired woman wearing very flattering business attire, presumably Tomomi's secretary, sits behind the glass-topped desk. Spoiler: Secretary She looks up at the new entrant. Spoiler: Perception Roll 95+10(Cold Reading)=105 crit. success The secretary's lavender eyes are hungry, almost predatory, as they take in the sight of Julia's even more scandalous outfit. A slight, cunning smile graces her face. She must know something which the professor doesn't... "Professor Meri, I assume? Wait here, please." The woman stands and disappears down the hall, her short, tight skirt barely keeping her underwear covered.
"Ngh." Iliana grunts, probably agreeing, as Felicia stands. The redhead feels the object within her ass being ground pleasantly into the sides of her passage with every careful step. A tortuous feeling of longing, of wanting more but not being able to receive it takes root, subtle for now. She takes a slide and walks back to the lab desk without issue. Ixchel already has the microscope out and ready. She adjusts the contraption, once Felicia places the slide on the stage, until she's satisfied, proceeding to quickly sketch the tissue sample. "Who's drawing next?" She smiles joyfully, stepping out of the way. Iliana is in no rush to move from her chair.
"Yes. I have a meeting with the president scheduled." Keeping to the point, trying to act professional, she lingered in the waiting area. (Sorry, I'm not giving much to work with.)
"You do have a fantastic build. I can tell you take good care of yourself!" Rena nods, taking Adam's blood pressure with a sleeve. "Normally, fainting isn't a cause for concern unless it becomes a regular occurrence, and you don't have any medical history of it." She frowns at the reading on the gauge. "Your blood pressure's a bit low...How much water have you had to drink today?" The nurse unwraps the device from his arm. "Can you take your shirt off?" She points at the stethoscope around her neck. "Need to have a listen."
