The act takes him a little while, but Adam eventually manages to bring his hands to his front. They are bound by what seem to be ordinary, steel handcuffs.

His ankles being cuffed together renders walking impossible, but Adam hops or makes a series of pivots to inspect the glass and then the three solid, white walls surrounding him. He finds no apparent weak spots.

You mentioned magic before - I couldn't do it because of my hands? Is it enough for them to be in front of me, or do I need to be properly unbound? Adam tries contacting his 'guardian angel' as he lies trapped and hobbled in his cell.

Smoke pours from the kitsune's monster as it bats Eldonia away, sending it flying straight at Julia. She takes 900 damage from the fossil, dropping her LP to 5100. "Any other fossils want to give him a go?" Yoko grins as Eldonia retakes it's place beside the other Paleozoics on the field.

The damage recoiled as a wild swing of the monster's arms lashed backwards, slightly cutting open the cloth on her arm, leaving a visible mark of blood. It stung, but even through the pain, Julia forced a somewhat smug and serious look.

"All of that energy to make that little scratch. Are you proud of this accomplishment?"

Julia moved onto her next phase as she tapped the card representing swaptoad as it went to her second main phase. "I'll activate swaptoad's effect again. And return halluicgena back to the hand and reset him."

The fossilized plant beast's vines threw themselves wildly before sinking back down into the earth, but the ground remained disturbed underneath, making it clear it was still lying in wait for it's next opportunity.

"My turn ends."

Allow me to relay what the Eye can do. It allows it's user to peer within the minds of others such that nothing, not even repressed memories or secrets, remains hidden from the wielder's gaze. It also serves as a powerful focus for channeling magic. For example, it is powerful enough to facilitate Shadow Games. Furthermore, I have, on multiple occasions, witnessed the Eye being used to seal souls within stone tablets, scrolls, and your modern cards. It is remarkably dangerous, which is why it was buried far beneath the dirt. I do not understand how it could have been recovered.

"There's more to come, Julia..." Yoko smiles. "Doomking Balerdroch returns since we battle in his world." The lamia rises from the grave in Defense Position via its effect, menacing its staff at the professor.
"I lay a trap and lie in wait. What do you do, mortal?" The kitsune's eyes sparkle with mirth.

Julia saw the next card she draw, with mixed results. This could change the game state...but like the other card in her hand it wouldn't be enough and being a trap card takes another turn to activate.

"I set another trap card...I'm sure you get the idea." Julia smirked, trying to goad Yoko into thinking it was another Paleozic monster.


As she went into her second main phase, she debated on her approach. Doomking would attack the next turn and be able to attack. Even halving it's attack it could still beat over the other palezoics.

"I switch swaptoad to defense mode and return Elodia to the hand to reset it. Even if you attack with doomking, I will still be able to destroy it as it stands...."

Julia knew Yoko might be less likely to listen than her sister, but she gave a look to Yoko. Julia had to stall for a few more turns before she could get the strong monsters out of the deck. But...

"I'll end my turn. But what will you do? At this rate, we are at quite the impasse and we both need each other too much to settle this through other means. If I can't leave your realm, then you can't either. If I destroy you, the ice barrier is forced back into another conflict. I must admit, we've reached quite the conundrum."

I am aware of two mortals who have defeated the Eye in the past. The odds are certainly against you, but when has that ever stopped you before?

He doesn't know how much time passes. It doesn't feel like very long. The door at the opposite end of the hallway opens, revealing a pair of women. One, Adam knows as Merneith. The other wears some kind of military uniform with the nameplate reading "Lt. Castro."

The two women appear to be talking with each other as they approach the glass, but Adam is unable to overhear their conversation. Lt. Castro presses a button on the wall near Adam's cell, and a crackling intercom turns on, allowing him to hear the pair. "Lieutenant Maria Castro and Codename Merneith interrogating subject captured on August 24th, 2001. Subject, state your name."
"This will be easier for you if you cooperate." Merneith adds.

"Eh?" Felicia felt like she was being interrogated, especially as Michio gave her next questions. "I mean, he's kind of cute." She mumbles, blushing as Michio got to the second question, "I mean, I would have been fine with it... I just, think going too far on a first date is... too much." Felicia's face goes red as she recalls her perverted dream.

God damn... Adam tries not to ogle Castro too obviously, feeling sheepish at how silly he looks, hopping with his feet bound and trying not to fall over. "Sure - I can't really think of anything witty to say, anyway." Lieutenant? Codename? Are these people spies? Military? They don't seem Japanese. "Adam Le Fey."

Yoko seems to buy that the new card is yet another Paleozoic.
71+10(Charisma)+10(Spirit Taming)-30(Callous)=61 success
"I have nothing to lose, mortal!" The kitsune barks, laughing hysterically. "You've already seen that I have more allies than just the other Mayakashi. Banishing me will accomplish nothing but the deaths of your necromancer tribe." She calms herself as she prepares for her turn. "But I must thank you. This has been very fun so far. Much better than beating the rest of those braindread yokai." Julia isn't yet sure if that worked.

[Does Julia want to do anything before ending her turn since Canadia is now banished? The Frog switching and Eldonia being moved to the backrow still go through.]

That feeling of being in some kind of weird police interview doesn't leave as Michio asks even more questions of a very personal nature. "Do you mean 'would have been fine with it' or 'actually wanted to fuck?' There's a huge difference between the two." The one-eyed woman extends her arms to her sides as if to demonstrate. "After our night, I can tell you definitely need someone who can be assertive in the bedroom. Do you think he can do that?" She gives Felicia a serious look.
