One Month before Orientation:
"Alright kid, take it easy. Ready... Set..." Constantine stands at the prow of his boat, watching as his grandson leans over the railing, hands outstretched towards the water.
Success! A small area of water jets upwards in a spray, a dark shape caught in the middle, before the water and the shape both come to a stop, defying gravity as they hover in the air. Victor relishes in his control, feeling the water solidify to keep the panicking fish hovering, before he feels a strain in the back of his mind, and lets go, the fish plopping back into the water and hurriedly swimming away. "Not bad, kid." Constantine chuckles. "But your cousin has a hell of a head start on you. Agai-" Before he finishes his sentence, he stops talking, expression darkening, the sky darkening in turn. "What is... Victor, get behind me and hold on to something!" The boat starts to rock violently, as Victor sees the sea starting to go from calm to stormy, far faster than what should naturally be possible.
Then, a shadow passes over the boat, as Victor sees a massive wave, as tall as 50 men, looming above them, heading right towards the boat. "Hold on tight, boy!" Constantine shouts, arms stretched out, and the wave explodes outwards harmlessly. The old man grips the railing, breathing heavily, as the air starts to get thin, a woman's voice travelling along it, laughing. "N-No... That's not possible. She's
dead!" Constantine shouts to himself in horror. Before Victor can ask what he means, the floor falls out from under him as the boat is dragged down by some power. Victor makes contact with the surface, feeling like he's been smacked in the chest, and he inhales water. Tossing and turning, he tries to use his powers to save him, but the water is near pitch black, and he can't find which way is up. He struggles and thrashes, and then his energy deserts him.
"What a beautiful little morsel. Welcome to the family, boy..." That same female voice speaks into his ear, beautiful and terrifying, and he feels soft hands dragging him down into the deep.

Orientation Day:

Victor stumbles through a bush, as the trees give way to a clearing, with some ancient looking stone structure in the middle, looking rather out of place for somewhere in America. He...thinks he might have gotten a little lost. Silver Sorceress had invited him to go and explore the grounds, but he underestimated just how
sprawling the King James estate is, stretching out for miles and miles, the thick woods dotted with mysterious structures like this one, invisible from above. He decides to lean against the fountain, idly using his powers to play with the water, as he pulls out his phone and tries to get some semblance of where exactly he is.
"Lost? Don't tell me I have to rescue you again?" A woman's voice speaks, and Victor looks up to see Cordelia Winters - one of the instructors here, and the woman who rescued him after...after his grandfather went missing.
"Hey kid." She says, a little softer. "Remember anything?" Victor tries, but nothing comes to mind. He was rescued from the ocean a full week after Constantine's boat went down, but what happened during that week, and how he survived drowning, is all a mystery. "That's alright, it'll come to you eventually. Anyway, your
cousin wanted me to find you and send you to her." She says with a little bit of distaste - Winters is a strict teacher, and evidently Rebecca's antics haven't made her a favorite student. "She should be by the old schoolhouse. Want me to walk you back?"
