There are chapters waiting for approval on the “Help! I’m a Teenage Genie!” story. The story owner isn’t replying to messages and doesn’t seem to have done anything in a few weeks. Not sure if something happened, but I’d happily agree to become a story moderator to move things along until they return. May I adopt the story?

I was the last one to update it and it hasn't been updated since I was hoping to adopt it and try rework the story.

 

The author is still active. We only allow stories to be adopted once at least 6 months have passed.

Apart from that, the story is public and you can add chapters that way.

Hello - I realized this thread might be a better place to post this (I had originally posted this in the "Thread approval reports" thread),
I have been trying to add to this story (https://chyoa.com/story/Knocking-Up-Sister.2896/map), but it looks like the current editor for the story, Kaferian, hasn't been active since late march.
Would it be possible to get added as an editor for this story? I have written numerous chapters for it.

I have two queries about possibly abandoned stories.

First, it appears that this story has been abandoned for a long time. While I haven't added anything to it, I do have a few ideas I'd like to write for it, but the story hasn't been updated (and that by a site mod) in five years. So if I were to add any chapters to it as it is, in all likelihood they'd never see the light of day.

Second, this story is by a user who, it seems, has done exactly one thing with their account in the last six months, which was to approve and like one chapter in one of their other stories three and a half weeks ago. I hadn't realised they'd gone inactive when I added a chapter to it a few days ago, and probably wouldn't have bothered if I had checked. With this story I do have some other chapters in it, but I'm wondering if anything can be done for the time being. I wouldn't want the author suddenly showing up again and being irked that one of their stories was taken away, or even had someone added as an author or editor whom they hadn't approved.
