"Sire... at least you did not ignore her education completely." Hector snorted. "Do I look Sabath to you? Making shovelheads?" He asked with sarcasm. "It's not about what he did for you, Childe." Marcus explained, ignoring Hector. "It's about the rules he broke when he chose to save you." He sighted. "I will have you introduced to my and Hector's Sire..." He wanted to say more but- "You are not even going to listen to me?" Hector asked, clearly annoyed. "Oh I am going to listen to you." Marcus turned to Hector. "Even if just to laugh at misconceptions of your plan." Hector shook his head and walked up to the young blonde, throwing his jacket over her. "You are free today, my Childe." He turned to Chloe, caressing her cheek.
“Thank you, sire,” I say, giving Marcus a side glance, not trusting my sire’s brother. “Would it be ok if I borrowed Clara for the evening?”
Hector paused, then nodded his head. "Of course." He assured her. He then looked up at Clara and nodded his head. A moment later, the two elder vampires left, leaving the two women alone in the office.
I look at my state of dress. “Clara, my clothes are back in your room. Will you walk with me and help me get dressed again?”
"Of course, miss." Clara nodded her head and leaned forward, offering Chloe a hand, to help her get up. "The effects of being under influence of discipline can leave you sometimes confused."
I take Clara’s hand, and she leads me back to her room. “Yes, I just felt compelled. He made me strip and walk naked. I hate to think what else he could have had me do…” I shudder, wondering what else he could have compelled me to do. I begin to dress. “I was hoping to go to the Library. Meet with Lexi. I hope it’s not too late now.”
"I know exactly what you mean." the blond maid agreed. "Through, some take pleasure in the act... but Marcus... can be quite forceful at times." Clara observed as Chloe put on her clothes. "Not at all, I will be happy to drive you there." She hesitated. "Do you wish to take something with you? Or plan to move somewhere else later on?"
“Take something with me? Do you mean in the case of Sunrise? I will defer to you. I have been shown how young and naive I am this night already,” I say as I slip my shoes on. “Anyway, this Marcus feels like he has quite the rivalry with Hector.”
"You are barely a few nights old. Some, having a decade in age are considered young." Clara smiled lightly, watching as Chloe was putting her clothes on. "Marcus has... A complicated relations with Hector. He is what you would call, an older sibling." She explained. "There were times, that he had to aid Hector, fix some problems."
“Yes, well, he need not humiliate me the way he did,” I say, looking away, blushing a bit, thinking about how erotic I found the whole situation. “Anyway, we best hurry. I need to go see how my favorite librarian is doing.”
Clara winced at the comment. "He..." She hesitated. "He rarely does something without a reason." She admitted grudgingly. Clara took a case from her room and the two made their way to the elevator. "Clothes for change." She explained as the elevator stopped in the garrage. The two entered the car, and with Clara as a driver, and Chloe on the back seat, they drove into the night city. Clara put the memory stick into the radio and turned it on. Soon, music started playing.
“So Hector makes mistakes? I guess I’m one of them. Is keeping you one too? I can’t imagine you like being his servant?”
"Everyone makes mistakes." Clara easily admitted as she drove the car out of the garage. "Just because someone has a couple of centuries, doesn't mean that they don't make mistakes." She easily turned, joining the traffic. "Whether you are a mistake or a hidden opportunity, or a secret gem he found, is something to be found." She answered with conviction. "If you die early, you were a mistake. If you survive and thrive, you were a gem." She answered with a smile. But then she frowned. "And what makes you think that taking me as a ghoul was a mistake from his side.?" She asked, her eyes travelling to a mirror, her eyes locking with Chloe's eyes. "Are you calling me a mistake?" She paused. "Are you questioning my loyalty?" she asked, and there was an edge in her voice. “I don’t think you were a mistake,” I answer carefully. “But you were Hector’s nemesis. Being loyal to him now, it must be hard.” I lean forward from the backseat, my face peering over the headrest beside Clara’s. “You know how much I adore you. There can be no question of my motivation to be near you.” I run my ting along her jawline before settling back in my seat. “Are we close, my friend?”
Spoiler: Persuasion 20, 8, 6, 4 Vs DC 12 - 1 critical success Chloe's tone seemed to placate Clara. She turned back to the street, taking a moment to calm herself. "My apologize, Mrs Belovoa." She said after a moment. "That was unsightly of me." She turned the well. "We should be arriving at the library in ten minutes." She said calmly, her eyes focused on the road.
I unbutton the top two buttons of my shirt to show off ample amounts of cleavage. “No need to apologize, Clara. Sometimes, I’m not clear on my intent.” I smile seductively at the ghoul. “I’m hoping to bring a friend back with me tonight. Would it be too much to bring her back to the haven, or should I seek alternative shelter for the day?
Clara did not answer, as she made a turn, before accelerating. For a moment she was silent before answering. "Unless your friend is a ghoul or you plan feed her your blood for a third time, I would suggest place other then Haven. Secrecy is security, after all." She answered evenly, her voice neutral.
“Then can you procure a place? Somewhere, I’ll be safe while you take Lexi home.” I ask as I prepare to exit the car once Clara has parked.
Chloe nodded, with a slight frown. "I can rent an apartment, yes." She nodded her head, as she stopped the car. She seemed to want to say something more, but decided against it.
I noticed that Clara was hesitant. “You can speak freely with me. I wish to be your friend, not your master. And that means we must be honest and open.”
