Thanks for the feedback! I've reinstated the feature that shows liked chapters on user profiles—just like it was before. Enjoy!
Hi, the recent do-over added a fixed margin on the right side, for the menu... to be honest, I don't like it. This is some serious screen real estate lost on mobile. I'm trying to "fix" it using user-css, but for the sake of every mobile user... would you please reconsider that change?
Thanks for letting me know! When you mention the fixed margin on the right, do you mean the sidebar shown in the screenshot? I want to confirm we’re talking about the same thing before we make any changes. Let me know!
works for me: .sidebar.collapsed-sidebar { display: none; } .layout-single-column.with-sidebar { margin-right: 0; }
Hiya, I recently updated/picked up an old story of mine and despite seeing the changes in the story itself it is not showing up as having updated or popping up on the updated stories section? https://chyoa.com/story/Vixen's-First-day-of-Summer.45830
Hi there, Thanks for letting us know! I checked your story, and it looks like you’ve updated your existing chapters but haven’t published any new ones. The “Recently Updated” section only lists stories when a new chapter goes live. Once you publish a new chapter, your story should show up there. Hope that helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
I'm trying to credit an image in a comment on one of my chapters, using this URL: https://old.reddit.com/r/Ebony/comments/s4nhtj/do_guys_here_like_slim_thick_bubble_butt_girls/ (NSFW) But it's getting rejected with the message "no spam allowed". I understand the need for spam protection, but I don't think it'd make much difference if it were allowed, since I am allowed to post it in the chapter text itself. (I just don't want to because it looks ugly)
When I try and go to some of the categories, I am redirected to an entirely different site that is not CHYOA. It even happens when I try and read a story directly from the recently updated and new stories sections if they fall into one of those categories.
A user https://chyoa.com/user/<s>suuper seems to be uploading at least some of the offending chapters that cause this bug (prob intentionally as he seems to try to grab some ad money prob)
I am also seeing the same issue from a user called Mooredek, I think. Can’t do anything in relation to my story The Waifu Catalog- Beta Testers. I get redirected even if I go to the My Stories tab, let alone trying to interact with the story itself. https://chyoa.com/user/mooredek
Thank you all so much for flagging this issue and helping us get to the bottom of it. Here’s what happened: A malicious account was adding new chapters to public stories that contained a hidden onload script in the chapter tag. As soon as someone viewed or interacted with the story, that script redirected them to an external site, triggering malware and phishing warnings. I’ve now permanently banned that account and deployed a server-side update that sanitizes all story tags. Any HTML or JavaScript is stripped out, so redirects like this can’t happen again. Again, thanks for your quick reports and patience while we investigated and rolled out the fix. If you notice anything else unusual, please let us know!
I’ve just added reddit.com to our comment whitelist, so you should now be able to post that URL without hitting the “no spam allowed” filter. Give it a try and let me know if you run into any more issues!
