Which I think is excellently demonstrated in your "Bad Decision Ashley" thread and henrytemp's version as well. Kurt can be dark, but it's way more fun if someone comes into the darkness with him. In that sense, he's more secure in himself and always has been, despite his Andrea's crushing blow to his heart. His piggishness has been an emotional barrier to anything deeper than casual sex, but after opening himself up, he can think about something more and deal with his regret -- again, that rings loud and clear in your characterization. Really, something like that had shaped my original plan in my old threads from months ago -- Kurt wasn't necessarily trying to pull Heather to the dark side as it were, but trying to make her realize that they have more in common than she wants to admit and own up to the more selfish parts of her nature. He'd be content in that realization, and, in a way, it would've made Heather stronger and able to pursue Zack more easily and honestly. Kurt's mutated form of family support, before any kind of reformation. That's why the story-in-the-round idea was set in, to guard against that. And yeah, totally plenty of characters to have fun with, especially when the orgy begins. We welcome you whenever you want Zingiber, and to anyone else wanting to join in! Actually, I don't really see it in that vein, as it would fail and/or backfire on Shawn. By making him drowsy or knocking him out completely, he's effectively punished. Kinda fun really, lol
Sure, sure, what I meant was that, while knocking Shawn down, it could make the others too much horny to see clearly. But I guess that it can be avoided by just using a small dosage. It can come in during the game and cause spicier questions and dares to be issued.

It works that way too, I didn't realize he was the only one who'd drink, I had assumed he'd try to slip the thing to the others. LOL, I agree about the engines, and they'll get even more revved up as the night progresses.

That was part of my logic behind Ashley Makes A Bad Decision way back when, and henrytemp picked up on it too: Kurt enabled Ashley to act on a bad decision she already wanted to make. He has no pretenses about the things he wants, so people think he's a scumbag, but because of that they're also willing to meet him halfway. They can have their hang-ups out in the open because who is Kurt to judge them? Getting people to cop to their bullshit is what makes him likeable to some even as it pushes him to do loathsome things, and that seems to have been the crux of your old Heather/Kurt scene. That's fantastic. I would love to read that, somebody just banging on the backdoor freezing and soaked to the skin. Understandable. Done wrong, a lot of lifting on the story you want to write is out of your hands. We've been careful so far about using the forum and comments to coordinate things and telegraph where we want to go. It does help there are enough characters bouncing off each other that we can all pick our favorites and acknowledge each other's work without crossing over. Still, it's a different beast. I was thinking the same thing re: aphrodisiac. There's no problem if it's just Shawn taking it, or at least if everyone sees what happens to Shawn before they can take it.
After Zingiber spoke about his concern of stepping on someone's toes, it got me thinking, without restricting anyone's freedom, do you guys think we should define the main pairings for the scene? Sure, there'll be some swapping during the orgy, but in the aftermath, there'll be the ones who'll find themselves with a new boyfriend/girlfriend.

I've got no problem with that. Do your thing, Cretan_Bull14. That's a good idea. Let's start pointing out the pairs we want to see together, though we might not want to account for everyone right away. I think it would be fun to shuffle the dance partners like you commented earlier, see who has unexpected chemistry with who. Alright. I still like Peter and Taylor becoming FWBs, and Kurt and Kendra surprised me how well they work together. Beyond those I don't have strong feelings yet on any particular couple.
Well, I agree with these two pairings, they make sense. For Zack, I guess it'd make sense that he finds himself in a dance with at least Vicky and Hannah, maybe Chloe as well (having already danced with Heather and Taylor). I also think Victoria will end up dancing at least once with Shawn during the night as he tries to put his plan into motion. Lisa will probably try to make Zack jealous by dancing with someone (anyone, I guess). Taylor mentioned that she sees Gavin and Chloe as younger siblings after the amount of time they spent with Zack at their house, so maybe she would pull Gavin aside to dance for a while (and I've mentioned on his bio that he had a crush on her at some point in his life, similar to the situation with Zack and Hannah). I imagine that Heather will want to dance with Kurt a couple more times as well, if nothing else to make him company, seeing as he doesn't have a lot of friends there. Aside from that, I guess we can improvise and try to mix things up a bit to see what happens. What do you guys think?
Oooh, Gavin and Taylor is a cute one, we haven't done anything with that old crush. On that note, I think Zack is definitely on a collision course with Hannah, she's a dynamo. That might leave Brandon open for Chloe, I still enjoy Vain's threads where the two of them hooked up. And my original plan for Lisa was to have Kurt meet her at the front door and start flirting with her, not knowing she's Zack's ex. Or, with Shawn watching Kendra like a hawk again, Kurt will probably go looking for Heather again. Maybe Heather can introduce him to Taylor?
This last one holds some promise, I think. Zack's dancing with them for a while and decides to take a breather, Taylor and Heather continue dancing with one another and begin to talk, maybe about Zack, then Kurt wanders close to them and Heather pulls him over to introduce him to Taylor. Hannah gets tired of Brandon and pulls Zack to dance.
Hey, this is what CHYOA is all about in my opinion, have fun! I think you guys have touched on the major pairings -- and a good probable event timeline. When Zack dances with Hannah, I can see Lisa's jealousy going to 11 and probably grabbing the nearest body available to burn off energy -- and if she's next to Ashley still there, she might be the first victim. Gavin would be charmingly befuddled with Taylor, and I do like Brandon and Chloe dancing -- like Patzo, I really enjoyed Vain's pairing of them. Kurt might also be another good option, but he might want to stay away for now, and him dancing with Heather right now makes more sense. Shawn might decide to put himself in between Victoria and Dustin when his temper gets the better of him after Kurt and Kendra's dance. When that fails (Victoria would probably balk fairly quickly I think), that would be a good place for Shawn to try his aborted aphrodisiac plan if we want to do that.
Agreed, all of that can actually happen. After that, it won't be too long before Jennifer comes knocking, I guess. On another note, I've finished my Vicky and Dustin thread, and I'll post it shortly, after I review it.
I should add, I was totally wrong about the orgy thread. You guys have made it great and I anticipate every chapter.

I know we had talked about Brandon and Chloe dancing, but with both Gavin and her committing acts against choreography in the corner and duskford leaving Victoria free as Dustin headed to the bathroom, it seemed more logical to pair them -- and make it a slight shout-out to Patzo's and duskford's threads where they made out furiously/fucked on the beach.
I'm ok with that, as I've said in the comments' section, I think part of the fun is to build up on the others' efforts. Vicky and Brandon can be very interesting, as the other future mixed dancing partners will be.
Nice! I'm not beholden to any of the pairs we were spitballing except Peter/Taylor. Brandon and Vicky are fun to watch, and I'd rather see the pairs develop organically than try to maneuver them all just so.
