Hi there! Just wanted to say, I'm very much enjoying reading and writing on the site, as I have been for quite some time now. One of my favorite features of any site, especially forums, is Dark Mode. I'm glad to see this included while reading CHYOAs, but sadly that's the only time it applies. I'm sure it's been suggested in the past, but I would love to see Dark Mode toggleable while browsing stories, writing/editing chapters, and browsing the forums. It's a bit jarring to cut back and forth from the completely white standard background while editing/adding chapters, and back to the entirely black background when reading or returning to my own stories. Dark mode is a bit easier on my eyes, and could potentially make browsing CHYOA a bit more stealthy overall. I can't imagine this change would be very difficult to implement, although I can see why it wouldn't be much of a priority. There are Chrome addons that allow something similar, but having the option available across the entire sight would be a really welcome addition. Edit: In addition, the ability to delete/edit my own comments on chapters, or possibly delete other user's comments on my own stories, would be quite helpful as well. I can see why we can't get rid of other people's comments, that wouldn't be quite fair. However, often I'll make a mistake, or change my mind later, when posting a comment, and being able to edit them (and maybe display edit history), or outright delete them would be great. Can't see much reason why we can't remove our own comments.
I would second being able to edit my own comments. There have been times where I've made a comment, then had to make another comment to make a clarification or correct a typo. I don't particularly mind and I doubt other users really mind either, but it might look a bit better and, in some cases, be easier to read/interpret what my brain is trying to put down in the comment box if I could edit it (haha!). All the same, really appreciate the site and all the work done on it! Sincerely, BlanqSl8.
Also, want to apologize, as this has been suggested in the past, I just don't use the forums much at all, and noticed after making this topic. If it needs to be deleted, so be it, but I really hope we get these changes soon.
Please use the Suggestions subforum for actual suggestions. Actually, there already are suggestions about dark mode. - "Dark" and "Sepia": two great options that would enhance the site... - Night mode for Editor please Push the Like button on the initial post of a suggestion to vote for it. Suggestions with more votes are more likely to be implemented.
Can this be moved then? I've already addressed this. Are you a mod? Also, I made another suggestion, which another user responded to. One topic hardly got any response at all, and the other topic is from 2017. Didn't want to necro an old thread.
I am not a moderator on the forum. The easiest way to ask a moderator is to report a post of the thread and ask for moving the thread. There is no problem with reviving a thread if the topic is still relevant. I always link to similar suggestions, given that I'm able to remember and find them. That way, it's easier to find related suggestions and vote for the most preferred way of implementation. Only one thing, you should create one thread per suggestion. As you can vote for them it won't make sense otherwise.
