The second story spun off from Ovyah Discovered. Ovyah, Djinn of Lust, is always incarnated by the one who finds her lamp first after the death of her last master. That incarnation always matches what her new Master subconsciously desires. That can mean many things. I know I am not going to like this story, just from reading the description above. That said, if you tell me what kind of feedback you are looking for specifically, I'll read a few chapters and try to give the kind of feedback you need...

I'll be interested to see where you go with it; personally I like even magical transformations to take a bit more time, let even accelerated pregnancies play out a bit, but that's just me.
I thought a lot about that. In the end, I mostly decided to make the pregnancies faster for logistical reasons and out of a character choice. Logistically, once we accelerate the number of people going through Phase 1 would be difficult to justify being hidden away from the Justice League. Technically, Ovyah could do it, but it would threaten to overwhelm suspension of disbelief. Also, as my partner said to me -- Lex Luthor's not a patient man. On the other hand, Phase 3/Project Simulacra encapsulates 19 years, and there will be quite a bit done with that. That may help with some of the 'longer transformation and endurance' side of things.
It is -- when I spin a story out of Ovyah Discovered, I'm also creating a version I can repost as is and whole to other sites, so it's got to be something I hold the entire copyright to or, you know, it's theft. I don't like stealing people's work. That's why I rewrote Colleem's chapter for this version. It's not because my version's better. It isn't. It's because my version's mine. Even then I'm being careful to credit Colleem. The Ovyah Discovered version is still up and can have chapters added to it as anyone wishes, and if you need me to 'backport' chapters from The Luthor Agenda into it to set up chapters for your own branch, let me know and I'll happily do so. I don't want to discourage people from joining in, even if I work on a discrete version of the story.
@Rubicon I'm not necessarily talking about length of time - that's a whole suspension-of-disbelief deal; once you get to wish-granting genies your audience is already accepting quite a lot, and five-minute pregnancies aren't necessarily going to break them out of it. I'm thinking more of an experiential case - if it's an important or sensual scene, I usually like to spin out a transformation or experience a bit. That doesn't necessarily mean spinning five minutes out over three chapters or something, but t would have been nice to get more of Mercy's point of view of of the whole thing, coming to terms with physical changes and mentally grappling with circumstances and ramifications.
Oh, I can totally understand that. I hope you like some of the upcoming Phase 1 and 2 stuff, where we go way more into the experience different people have. (The first 'class' of Luthor's progeny are going to number five, and the five mothers are detailed quite a bit more compared to Mercy as they go through the transformation.)
Okay, thank you. I am a huge Lex Luthor fan and I wrote a chapter for it but was confused when I couldn't post it. I see your logic, makes sense.
I am not sure I got the djinn character right, also I was a bit confused about the exact mode of transportation / location of Luthor with regard to the dome, so let me post it here and you can tell me if I got the right feel of your story, and/or if I made any plot mistakes. ------------------ Luthor puts his new pet to the test. The 12th level intellect pauses for a brief second as he ponders many possibilities. “Hmpt.” Luthor pushes the djinn way, forcing her to fall to the ground. “Cheap parlor tricks and juvenile fantasies do not interest me. You're not worth my time.” And he begins to walk back to the ship. “Wait! Master!” The djinn cries out, “Do you not understand the power I offer you?” “Do I look like a man you lacks understanding about such things?” Luthor doesn't even bother to stop his stride. “Go find some teenager to haunt while he jacks-offs, I have more important things to tend to then waste my time with a wannabee succubus with inferior powers.” “Master, please!” The Ovyah pleads, “No man has ever rejected me. Tell me why?” Luthor wipes the cruel smile that has ran across his face at her words, and replaces it with a look of disdain. Turning to face the desperate cursed princess he raises a finger with each point he counts off. “First, I am always skeptical about magic. Second, I don't believe you have the power. Finally, you simply bore me.” The final sentence cuts like a dagger. The djinn grovels, “If I fail to satisfy a master I will be cursed to eternal torment. Please have mercy!” “Not my problem.” Luthor is unmoved. “I will do anything.” She pleads, crawling towards the CEO of LexCorp. “Anything!” “Show me an image of the person I love the most.” Lex commands. Remaining on all fours, with her head bowed, she waves her hand and an image of Luthor himself appears. “Well, you're not wrong.” He admits. “Now create an exact living copy of the woman I most desire.” Lois Lane appears in a stunning red evening dress. Perplexed she looks around. Seeing Luthor she fiercely marches towards him. “What is this, Lex!” She demands. “P-TAFF.” A 9mm round explodes out the back of Lois' head, killing her instantly. Luthor returns his pistol to his shoulder holster as Ovyah looks on in confusion. “Let's test the range of your powers next, shall we?” Taking out his phone and after doing a quick search Lex finds that Power Girl is live on “The G. Gordon Godfrey Show” debating whether superheroine costumes are over sexualized. “Give Powergirl the most body breaking orgasm any woman has ever had.” He commands. Luthor watches dispassionately as Kara Zor-L crumples into her chair as she screams in ecstasy. Seeing enough, the criminal mastermind turns his phone off and walks over to Ovyah and looks down at her. “One last test.” He orders, “I command that you, as long as you exist, you will desire me more than any other thing, person or being, with an all consuming lust that will never be sated.” “No.” The djinn whimpers. “DO IT!” He demands. Closing her eyes her body shimmers with a golden light. Crawling to his feet she begins to kiss his shoes, “Please, master take me!” she begs as she slips a hand in between her legs and begins to pleasure herself. “Don't touch me, unless I will it.” Luthor barks. “And you will not masturbate unless you have my permission.” The djinn, with effort, removes her hand from her aching sex causing her to give out loud frustrated groan while she looks up at Luthor with wild lust and worship. “Now that we understand our relationship.” Luthor smiles, “We can get to business.” What business does Luthor have in mind?
The character of Ovyah modifies based on the story in question, and since this is starting right from the point where he incarnates her, you can make that call. In other stories, it's not that refusing Ovyah curses her to torment but that if she doesn't manage to be used to serve, she goes a bit crazy after time and begins acting out, ultimately going near-Mxyzptlk. However, A) your story, so change it up if you like, and B) even if it's not actually true, nothing stops her from lying about it if Luthor would have subconsciously decided she was a liar. Also? I love it! Absolutely note-perfect Luthor!
On the Luthor Agenda, for the record, there's currently four main lines and one subline (Spoilers, obviously): The Master Plan: which is Luthor testing and enacting the Agenda as a whole. That's currently mostly focused on Lenity prototyping the different phases of his plan. Side Plan 1: Luthor's wishes addicting Superman and Lois. Side Plan 2: The Mary Marvel and Zatanna captivity thread. Justice League: The Justice League responds to various things that come up. The subline is Phase 1: which will detail Luthor's impregnation of various women. (And also Phase 2, detailing the pregnancy/births, Phase 3, detailing the daughters' growth and education, and so on...) Having focused mostly on the Master Plan and Side Plan 2, I got back to Side Plan 1 tonight, with our girl Friday! Er, Lois. Lois is having a bad day.
One question I have is the power level of the djinn. I believe you wrote that she can do basically anything that is sex/lust related, right? In the hands of the Luthor he could take over the world pretty quickly. Should there be any other limitations? The rules from Aladdin come to mind, for example: Cannot outright kill someone, cannot bring someone back from the dead, and most importantly for this story: Cannot make someone fall in love? Also, maybe straight up mind control?
That’s again essentially up to you. If we’re going with “traditional Ovyah,” then she certainly does have the power to mind control, force love, kill or raise the dead and so forth. However, the more power - and more ‘unreal’ - her wishes are, the less solid a foundation they rest on. Grand changes can be more easily undone than something built up over time or developed in stages. Further, the more Ovyah’s power is used to play SimSociety in cheat/God mode, the less satisfying it is to win. This is the basis of my own Luther story. Yes, he could mindwarp the planet and obliterate his enemies into a victory, but so could anyone else with Ovyah’s power. Lex doesn’t need some djinn to just declare him the winner! She’s just eliminating the ridiculous advantages of those so called heroes so his inherent superiority can prevail! This will be HIS victory, not her’s! If you’d rather go with the Aladdin package for Ovyah, you certainly can. It’s possible that at this point in her personal timeline her abilities have changed. Or it’s possible that Lex’s subconscious specifications for Ovyah’s nature set limits on her. Or it’s possible, as with the ‘eternal torment,’ that he gave her the capacity to lie to him about what she’s capable of, and a sense of humor (or vindictiveness) to claim limitations she doesn’t have. Honestly, it can be however you like. The two traits that I ask (but obviously don’t require) is her tendency to find the path of least complication/power in granting wishes and her neediness to be used/made to serve, via wish or otherwise. Which, given the sexual hunger Lex inflicted on her in your branch opening, fits right in...
In fact, as I recall, Ovyah suggested Lex mind control Lois in my branch, and he rejected it as beneath him, just to circle back around. Never underestimate the power of Luthorian contempt.
Got it. That is helpful. Oh, it scares me how easy I find it to write Luthor. It also scares me how similar Luthor is to Dr. Anderson (from my Catwoman story) in some base ways.
