Please post any thoughts, suggestions, criticisms and/or encouragements you have about my story Blind Date with Catwoman. Questions I have that I would like input about: 1) What is your favorite thread-line? Least? 2) Do you mind romantic, non-pornographic, thread-lines? 3) What type of fetish would you like to see me work in? 4) Is there a particular DCU character you would like to see added? Thank you!
I'll have to think about suggestions and thoughts and criticisms, but let me just open with encouragements. I love this story. So. Just getting that out there.
Thank you! That means a lot. This is one of the most enjoyable stories I have written in a long time.
I need your help with a chapter! If you could go read "Yes, but there is still a fox in the hen house" and post a reply in the comment section about what you think David would do, it would be a big help. Thank you all for the kind support. It is greatly appreciated.
I may be a softie, but I think he believes her. Plus, it's not like he doesn't need to check if the Riddler's made off with stuff, and if so what. Besides, he just gave her CPR, right? By any rational measure, Selena would need days of recovery before she could get back to antics. And David doesn't really understand that his world isn't really rational, right?
I am very pleased that so far everyone wants to give Selina a chance. It makes me feel that I am writing her at least somewhat close to character. I have been pondering this too. I have begun to plotted out the general flow of the thread line assuming a positive response by David. Question: Do you think it is okay to end this line without a sex scene? I have thought of a great ending line, but it means there will be no sex in this line. If you mean he is much more contemplative than the impulsive and intuitive Ms. Kyle, then you are right. But he is slowly checking up.
Wow, "Catwoman" just hit 1,000 likes. That blows me away. Thank you to everyone for the support, it has been a blast writing this story.
I'll say it again, great story, quite enjoying reading it! I did comment in the section prior to coming here to check the forums, but I would add to my comment that having them cuffed together could give the good doctor potential opportunities to get close and stay close... he might need to help her around a bit anyway, considering she's just recovered from unconsciousness and is probably sore from receiving CPR (as Rubicon pointed out).
When I saw that post and I had to laugh. When I read it I was literally at the same time working on a chapter with that exact theme, but with a twist. Great minds!
I asked this generically in another thread, but let me ask it about "Catwoman" in particular . . . Which would you prefer: 1) I work on one major story branch, frequently giving only single options, until it ends with an epilogue. 2) Try to fill out a branch focusing on giving at least two options frequently. 3) I flit around as the muse comes, focusing on what chapter inspires me the most at the time. I have a new major branch in my mind (David chases after Selina and ends up in Gotham. Spoiler: I love the Penguin). I also have dozens of little vignettes rolling around in my brain. It seems that my last major branch (the one ending with them getting married) was preferred, but I wanted to get your opinion. Thank you. "Turbines to power, engines to speed."
I go with option 3 all the time, that just how it rolls I flit around 4 or 5 stories at a time though - might be frustrating for the readers at times but it's the best I get out of myself
Minor question, what category would you put "Catwoman" in? Erotic Coupling? Fan Fiction? Miscellaneous? Romance?
I don't know. I put most of my Fanfic stuff into Fanfic, but it always feels... wrong to me. I wish we could put things in more than one major category.
What I've done is created a spreadsheet and tracking which chapters get the most likes/bookmarks, which suggests the paths which are most popular; when they hit a certain threshold, they go to the top of the list to get a sequel. Not suggesting you go through all that trouble, but if you feel unsure of which branch you want to work on, some criteria like that might give you an idea of where a new chapter might be most desired.
