The dark tendril around her foot is by no means pleasant, the shadowy energy sending a burning sensation up her body, but as she sends forth the blast, it's clear that angelic energy is more dangerous to a lich than the reverse. An old man in ragged clothing stumbles into the hallway, a guitar in his hand. "Eh, you cops?" He walks up close to James and Chelsea, and is evidently satisfied that the duo aren't. "You lookin' for something, kiddos? People are trying to sleep."
“The bureau, right...” Seres was clearly not convinced, but decided not to press the issue for now – they needed to focus on the mission. “Before we go, should we change outfits and put on some makeup? James raised an eyebrow, 'What's it to you? You're her guardian or something?' He looked to Chelsea, 'We just need to get that trinket back or?'
She'd only be annoying the lich, but without a physical body it would at least take him time to develop a new one for himself and manifest his physical form. Even if this was just temporarily delaying him, she had to take the opportunity while she had it. She assumed Rebbeca would be able to handle the horde, so she just to focus by delivering a massive burst in the energy in a whole row of light spears intended for impaling and exploding in their target. Ariel was half worried that she was going to be putting too much of a strain on her host, but Alicia's consciousness seemed to be probing and pushing to ignore the risks in favor of being able to deal with the enemy.
