I'm getting ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS on https://chyoa.com/chapter/current-chapter.852601 (with all cookies cleared) when I'm logged in. This is due to the saved state I was in when the story was changed in between. The story map can be seen here: https://chyoa.com/story/Rescue-the-Captured-Superheroes.25545/map Can I somehow delete my save? Otherwise I can't read it anymore with being logged in. Probably connected: As the author @herobb pointed out in one of his comments he duplicated chapters in trying to make "stat checks" work.
Please always use images with links. Don't drop them into the chapter. I've removed the image and your chapter should work again. I'm not sure what this means exactly. If he wants to achieve something specific and it doesn't work, he can contact me. (Though I'm quite short of time this week, so I might not be able to reply before Saturday or Sunday.)
Thanks a ton. Adding `game=reset` to the URL did the trick! Thanks for your responsiveness. I suppose the error only was related to me using an "old" save while the script had changed in between. But now I know how to handle it.

I get the text <br></br> peppered through my chapters seemingly at random when I important any amount of text in the chapter from a text program like word. In a chapter I typed entirely in the CHYOA terminal it doesn't show up. But copy and paste some text from word? Sprinkled seemingly at random throughout.
The story owner wasn't online for about two months, so they haven't even seen your submission. Hello! This is more for the moderators than anyone else, and it might not actually be a bug, but: I've gotten a coupla comments on my Game Mode story that say they've had issues starting Game Mode, with a message talking about too many cookies. Right now, the users are hentailover and Weebein -- Weebein said that resetting cookies fixed the problem for them, but hentailover said it didn't. I've also had someone recently (PossessorBozzo) contact me about an error message they got when starting the story, where the Game Mode button wouldn't work because cookies were disabled. I've not had any of these problems myself, and I don't know if it's something on the user's end or the site's end -- or whether it's unique to my story or happening to a bunch of 'em -- but just in case, I thought I'd make this post to let people know before it becomes a big issue, if it does! My only thought at the moment, which might be a useful starting point, is that it's a result of too many variables -- but then, it's not a problem that I've run into myself while testing the Game stuff a million times over and setting all sorts of variables, plus you'd probably need a million for it to cause any problems, so I'm not sure. Every time i open this chapter, i get the message: "An error occurred. Please try again later" https://chyoa.com/chapter/[Futanari]-Swimsuit-Advertisement.879240 The chapter loads just fine however. Windows 10 Desktop PC. I tried deleting my browser cache (chrome), closing the browser completly, as well as a different Browser (Firefox). I don't get the error message on android / chrome. Can anyone reproduce the problem, or is something weird going on with my PC? ;-)
I'm rather sure that the number of variables doesn't cause this problem. I think another user had the same issue in the past. On desktop it worked after a reset of the game but on mobile, this didn't work. Back then, the message was something like "too many redirects". Given the comments on your story, that might be the same error message. We changed a setting though I'm not sure if we kept it like that or not. The message is related to a request to the server after loading the page. E.g. if you push the like button, it sends that information to the server reloading the page. And the server sends the new information back. The only thing that should load on a chapter without user action should be the comments. If you load the chapter and the error occurs, do you see the note "No Comments" under the "Leave a comment..." field?
If you can consistently reproduce the error, you could try to temporarily remove the Markdown image link and see if that solves the problem. If it does, I would assume that the browser times out before the comment can be loaded. I don't think that deleting the chapter is necessary. If the image is the problem, you could try to resize it somewhat. (I think it's almost 800 kB) You could also test another thing... as soon as the chapter has been loaded completely, you could try to switch to the "All Comments" tab. If it loads, you could try to switch back to the Chapter Comments tab and see if it loads. (Though I'm not sure if it's possible to load that tab after the initial loading of the chapter.)
