I'm okay with it! It's nice just to know that they keep coming back. It's pretty tangible proof that somebody likes what you're writing, after all!
Though, a like or a comment would be even better.![]()
Wanking regularly to a story and not even giving it a like is the virtual equivalent of a selfcentered lover who cums in two minutes, doesn't give a fuck about their partner satisfaction and then goes to sleep.
im having this exact same experience but only recently. less likes qnd more bookmarks and favorites. I've had people bookmark multiple chapters even but still no like. it's a very weird predicament and i cant help but wonder why.I've noticed of late I'm getting a handful of favorites for a story when I post but few likes. It's really interesting how people consume material here. I'm not complaining though if it's favorited folks must want to read.

That is very true from the reader's point of view. It doesn't do a lot to motivate your average author imo. I know I'm more likely to move to a new project if I feel an older story is played out and folks aren't interested in it. I may move back to it later but it kinda feels like you're being nudged to try something different. There is nothing weird in this.
Bookmarks and favorites have a purpose - they enable notifications. Likes do nothing.
