"Hm~ How about... no... then what about... no, no." The woman started speaking, as she flippantly went through one possibility over the other in her mind. "Well... you could become my willing pawn... I would chain you up with techniques to ensure your loyalty... or I could put a form of curse on you, that would kill you if you did not follow a... ten, yes ten, ten tasks I would set for you. Ten works, if you will..."
She pasued.

"The faster we check it, the greater chance that we won't run into someone." The man said as he walked up to lake.
But as he walked, he did not stop - he stepped into a lake - and the water moved in front of him, spreading. Then it closed behind him - as if there was a bubble around him, that repulsed water...

"That would be boring." There was a chuckle. "And, unsport like. No, the tasks would be difficult and to finish them, you would need to grow quickly if you want to survive. Think of it, as series of tests that would help you grow, to stand in the bigger world."
She paused.
"Basically, one choice would put you under my protection, other would force you to grow strong enough to survive in the world... well, if you survived it."

Being underwater was incredible change of perspective. Slowly, as they made their way down, it became darker, as they got deeper...
Suddenly, her new master stopped.
As she turned to look at what he was looking, she noticed a shape in front of them. It was not that far, but the water made it difficult to make out-

"And it's done." She blinked. So engrossed she waa by the movement of the brush, she completely lost connection to reality. "Well then, your first task is simple - convince the lord of the manour to spare you - you can't kill him. You have to convince him to let you go." The woman said with a chuckle. "I am going to remove the talismans. I will give you about... lte's say, forty minutes to free yourself, get to the lord and convince him... how does that sound?"
