A half-blood of the eldest gods Shall reach sixteen against all odds. And see the world in endless sleep. The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap. A single choice shall end his days Olympus to preserve or raze Literally the central prophecy of the first five books of the series. (The second book series you could easily fudge the numbers For Percy and the rest of the cast be 18+)(Honestly that would have been more healthy for them Especially if they were out Of high school) The central premise of the first book series literally is all about a ticking clock for the first first child of the either Zeus, Poseidon or Hades To become To set off an event that could rival Ragnarok. (Again core cast, Sally, Paul (mortals) and the Olympian gods are all above 18 minimum ,) But nobody cares about the outer cast, In a ensemble series, most people care only about the core cast with a few extras. Again, I was fully willing to give a smut scene for Lord Hades and Lady Persephone (Because by fucking God I haven't seen anyone write it those goddamn cowards) Because I have a subplot, involving them trying to prevent their children (Well Hades's children that Persephone adopted) from dying from this stupid prophecy, I even had a whole Branch idea of just them trying to present the Di'Angelo children as children of Sure, Hades would be teased that he got cucked by a mortal, But nobody will notice that Those children can raise the fucking dead. True but, I'm a college student, Who doesn't have the means to make and host a non-website so I use the infrastructure I got. Honestly, this all started out as an exercise of trying to make a non- sexual storyline, With a inherently horny idea that I could turn into horror.(Or at least, Where I could lamb shade it) Also You have the non-erotic section (Which I found stories that was from 22 fucking years ago. What the hell? that's older than me? I didn't realize you guys were This old?) Really It would probably be easier to get permission from ARKangello (Who actually introduced the Percy Jackson branches into the written ownership stories) To use his chapters (Because they are kind of important for the setup) And make a new story using the non erotic banner, With it being moderated. That way I could have my fun writing, It is emphasized that this is non-erotic, The original architect for my branches get credited, And because it's moderated instead of open access we could nip anyone trying to post rule breaking stuff In the bud Heck I even have a name for it, "The pen or the sword" Because we already got a transforming sword in the goddamn setting that I don't see that much of a problem with that Edit: I got permission from ark
So it basically wouldn't make any difference if the character was aged up to 18 and died at 19 or 20. Otherwise, one could similarly claim that an erotic HP story needs the main character aged 11 as it's the first year of school, and thus might argue that it should be allowed to write the story without altering the canonical timelines. I meant that CHYOA might create and operate a clone with the same code but with different rules. (All ages but non-erotic.) See You can do that. (The story might be transferred over to mentioned clone in the future.) Please remember to mention that you have permission from the original author to republish their chapters or let them post them themselves.
This is a tricky one! For the spiders, yeah, better to skip them, even if they’re just for atmosphere, it might toe the line too close. As for undead, if they’re intelligent and pass the Harkness test, you’re probably fine, but necrophilia is usually a no-go. Robots and inanimate objects? Fair game, as long as they’re not crossing into bestiality territory. When in doubt, lean toward caution better safe than banned!
This is definitely a gray area, and it’s good you’re being cautious! For the spider example, yeah, it sounds like it could toe the line since the spiders are part of the "sexy ick" factor, even if they’re not directly involved. Best to avoid it to stay clear of the rules. As for the non-creature stuff, it seems like plants, robots, and zombies are fair game since they’re not classified as "creatures." So, a sentient undead that passes the Harkness test would likely be fine, but necrophilia might still be a no-go depending on the platform’s broader rules. Always better to double-check or err on the side of caution to avoid trouble!
