At the Cabin

Uh, just found my way back here. I'll quickly say thanks for your encouragement again, duskford. I'm glad you've been enjoying my threads, and I really enjoy the way everyone takes Kurt in different directions to explore different sides of his personality. Yarkoz's threads about Heather/Kurt hate sex were a tremendous influence on how I envisioned the Ashley/Kurt relationship. Can't wait to see how your Kurt finds redemption and maybe, just maybe, a willing partner, Yarkoz!

I also support the new threads that veer into the supernatural or science fictional! Yarkoz's "zoonotic erotophilia" phenomenon manages to both be very funny and very hot. It's a great way of getting unusual couples together, since I'm all about characters who don't really like each other getting busy! That said, I'm curious to see a supernatural element to whatever's "in the water," too. Maybe Zack and Vicky's love of mysteries leads them to investigate an abandoned cabin, and the ghosts of its former tenants possess them to act out their passion from across the ages...

Henrytemp, hope you're feeling better soon! You've got a good feel for the characters, and I can't wait to see where you take your threads!

And Vain, I'm almost afraid what sudden escalation in your new threads will look like. Once the dam breaks in your longest thread series, no one can contain themselves! I'm awed how you keep the plot moving as everyone finds new kinks to explore.

Oh Patzo, you're sweet. I'm glad that my writing could have that influence on someone else's writing, the Heather/Kurt scenes seemed to be my most popular in the story, and I have to say that your Ashley/Kurt scenes are spectacular! Funnily enough, as you mention that, it gives me an idea about the end game of my first series of threads with a reformed Kurt -- though, I fear Kurt's rehabilitation there might be a bit more troubled than in duskford's thread. And it will involve Heather again, in case you're wondering -- a psychological trip in which both learn a valuable lesson. And I agree Patzo, Kurt is fun to play around with, I retract my statements earlier when I said he is boxed in by his characterization -- he has a his reasons of why he acts the way he does, and he can be made to face those reasons in different ways.

I love the haunted abandoned cabin idea! They can hop around from person to person too, and I can give you another fun word for that -- "spectrophilia." On a side note I just envision Gavin being able to have these concepts and ideas on tap too, thanks to his phone and random things he's read before -- in my new threads, I think I'll have him be the expositor the next morning, a la the Doctor from Doctor Who.

I'm just glad the set up I came up with could unite so many good writers in one place, taking the story on so many different directions, some that I could never have imagined myself. Cheers to everyone too!

Regarding the supernatural / chemical explosion that Duskford and Yarkoz are planning, I've been thinking along the same lines for a while now as well. Will try and make my new set of threads focus on that part, which will eventually explain why I'm forcing the sexual build-up much faster than my previous attempt. We'll see what I come up with once I get there, but there's a high risk I'll shamelessly keep copying other people's threads and ideas - perhaps up to and including the use of suspicious bear costumes. : )

Thanks Vain, took me a while to get back at it, but finally back in my zone. Have to say that 2 scenes you wrote- Ashley with Kurt at look out point, and the scene between them watching Zack and Heather were the biggest motivation for me to decide to write. Though I have a different vision, those were two of the hottest scenes for me. Duskford's storyline has created other visions and I look forward to seeing where he goes. So many great characters and so many great possibilities.
 
I have to say I was disappointed when Duskford gave Kurt a change of heart. But, it made sense. Andt then he turned around and gave us Shawn. So looking forward to how this goes forward.

As an aside I originally jumped in with the idea I would keep Kurt bad, but my storyline as currently plotted out has a come to Jesus moment for him. Strange how characters write the story for you.
 
I see what you mean there, henrytemp. Several times now I've had the characters take me where I hadn't planned.

As for Kurt, I found extremely hard to keep him an uncaring jerk forever, so I've decided to redeem him and introduce a real one, Shawn.
 
Hello fellow contributers, I have a question.

I'm having lots of fun with my erotophilia threads, but I'm wondering, is there anything anyone would like to see? I'm trying to figure out different themes and scenarios for each of the characters, along with previous sexual or sexualized experiences and memories thanks to the effect, and I'm running short on ideas, so I'm throwing this out here as a fishing line for anyone to catch. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome!
 
That was something I was meaning to ask you, Yarkoz, the effects will last only for the scenes they are in now or there'll be time to shift partners? Of the current ones, I admit that I'm very curious as to how that scene between Kurt and Heather will unfold. As for suggestions, I'd say Zack with Jennifer or Taylor.
 
As far as I'm planning right now, the effects only last the night before everyone returns to more-or-less normal by the morning -- with a very interesting consequences. I do see this happening through multiple nights though -- plenty of time for additional partnerships -- and the first night can have other pairings as well. I actually intended on Taylor looking for her brother later. :) Jennifer is a good choice too, I agree, and I'll definitely see if I can work that in.

Any ideas on themes? With Zack and Taylor, I'm thinking of an apprentice-mentor relationship -- Taylor wants Zack to be with Heather, but she's more experienced than him and gets the idea that she should show him the ropes as it were. I don't know how Zack and Jennifer would treat each other though.
 
Zack and Taylor are indeed tricky, I've left it open if he already had some kind of attraction to her before, I've only mentioned Hannah. If you like the extra work, it could be an interesting scene if Zack somehow gets to have sex with Hannah and Taylor catches them in the act, then the erotophilia would make her get aroused and join in.

With Jennifer it's even trickier, but an awesome pairing in my opinion, since she already more or less worked with him on the cave case, admired his attitude of going to look for his friends in the woods, and to quote your thread where she spies him fucking Ashley, she could elect herself to be the one to "cool off his jets", maybe getting curious how such a young boy like him could attract so many different girls.

Kurt's an interesting one. On the one hand, it's fun to have one guy who is both single and shamelessly outgoing. Gavin and Zack are dealing with their crushes, while Brandon is in a relationship, but Kurt has no reservations about chasing any of the girls (including Heather much of the time!). He has no motivation but getting laid, and he'll do anything to do it. He drives conflict, and that makes him great for moving the plot forward.

That said, you have to keep the guy reined in enough that the other characters don't kick him out of the cabin, and when that situation did come up in duskford and Vain's threads, they handled him in very different ways. Either you reform him and tone him down, or you boot him out of the story. In my threads, I'm going to tone him down a bit through Heather: she's still willing to give him a chance and becomes a conscience of sort for him.

First of all, "spectrophilia" is now one of my favorite words, and if you're not going to pick up on that, I will at some point. Gavin's getting some great treatment in your threads: even in the throes of passion, he recognizes that this isn't normal. Maybe he could go investigate this phenomenon himself and then run into Dr. Jefferson, at which point she demonstrates the effects it's having on them.

I also like the idea of Zack/Taylor as a mentoring relationship. Since Taylor is so similar-looking to Heather, though, would Zack realize he was "practicing" on his sister? Maybe he'd think the cheerleader was showing him how it's done! Or maybe he keeps going back and forth, thinking Taylor and Heather are taking turns!

And I enjoyed Vain's take on Brandon and Chloe. Maybe the two of them go out for a run together since they're both athletes, but they're on the far side of the lake when it gets dark, and one of them gets a cramp that leads to a massage. You could even have Jennifer find them, cursed to forever walk in on horny teens, and show them both a thing or two.

EDIT: I failed in my duty to say nice things about Zingbier earlier, so I'm going to note that your Zack/Taylor threads manage to be hot and sweet at the same time. You sell both sides of the sibling relationship with a sexual element, and I also think you were the first one to explore that pairing? You can tell how successfully the idea's rooted in our minds now!

Also wanted to say sorry that I've interrupted my 'main' story for the side one, and just when I felt I was close to finished with it too. I'll probably go back there eventually, but right now I just happened to find the new one a lot more fun to write at. : )

Regarding that 'side project', I've been thinking a bit about giving it multiple endings depending on a few different choices along the way. While I do kinda like that approach, as it makes me feel like I'm writing on a game rather than a single story, it would likely involve quite a few of copy/paste threads that may feel like unnecessary waste of space.
What's others thoughts about that kind approach?

Also, it seems like I'm going full out on Zack as the main protagonist in this thread, so don't expect too many scenes with the other three guys going down for real on any of the girls. (Though there will be a lot of close calls! ;)) I'll leave the possibilities open whenever I can though, and perhaps add some on my own later where I feel like... ; )

I don't think there's anything wrong with writing multiple paths and endings, Vain, if you want to explore every possibility, that is. As for your storyline on Zack, I don't know if it's your intention, but it could be a fun idea to someone who wants to do it, is to write a 'harem' story with Zack ending up with all the girls at his side and the other guys getting no one.
 
Well, that just might be the idea here, Duskford... ; )
At least one ending among those alternative paths could definitively lead to a 'harem' situation, while the entire story will focus a lot on Zack and the girls in all the alternatives - just to a varying degree of going the whole way with them.
 
To everyone who happens to be following my main storyline, after more than a hundred threads and lot of time planning, I've defined the final pairings for the story, and I've got to say it became way easier to write after that. It's going to be Zack/Heather, Gavin/Chloe and Brandon/Victoria. Although you guys can expect a wicked plot twist that'll keep Zack and Heather apart for a while before they get together in the end. Also, be on the lookout for a threesome scene between Zack and the Woodsen sisters, it'll happen.
 
Hey all, sorry for being late to the party, er cabin. It took me a while to find the new site, and even longer to find my way here to the forum. I lurked on the first site briefly, and was a contributor to the second for a while. I spent my first few weeks on the new site fixing mistakes in my old threads while I waited for a story to pop up. Always been a fan of the "more than just friends" genre, so I was overjoyed when I saw The Cabin. I've read the entire story and have enjoyed everybody's threads. I'm also glad that my own threads have been accepted into this wonderful addition to the CHYOO/CHYOA legacy.

Welcome, Cretan_Bull14! I've already said it to you on the comments' section of your threads, but I'll say it here again. Your threads brought an awesome fresh perspective on the characters, what with the changes you've made to the background of some of them. You've managed to capture very well the essence of the Zack/Heather pairing, which is the fun banter and the teasing between them. I'm looking forward to read where you'll take those two in your threads.

Truth is you've created an actual "Choose your own adventure" story so I'm enjoying it. Looking forward to how you write this
 
If you hadn't read my swearing on the post thread, I wrote what I thought was a really great scene between Kurt and Ashley only to have it disappear when I clicked "save." (It went back to the main screen and I was signed out) That killed my motivation as it was a pure emotional scene. (I tend to think of scenes as technical or emotional, the prior serving a storyline, the latter written from love or lust) At some point hoping I can rediscover the muse on that scene
