(Can't win them all.) "Oh, sorry, it's Matthews." Felicia apologizes realizing she didn't give her full name. "It's probably nothing. It was a long time ago after all."
"I think her name is Rachel. She seems like she has to be eased into something so scandalous." Adam smirks. "Non, non... Don't despair - you're my first. Well, at least my first teacher. Well, at least my first teacher at this school." He reaches out, gripping her by the hips
"That's also part of the mystery. I'm looking forward to reading your interpretation." She didn't mind Haunani having opposing thoughts, and even though Julia was still wary of her, it was also nice to see invested students. "Granted, it could be as something as trivial as the company itself didn't want to print too many types....from what I understand of the original creator, this doesn't seem likely to me....but...fairies in old myth often referred to powerful magical beings regardless of nature....what you're saying isn't wrong. The interesting note though is for the terminology to be universally accepted it would imply that somehow civilizations had more social contact than we might believe. The implications would be much of myth and religion could be derived from sources and places we don't know about." Julia paused for a moment. She was talking a lot more in this class, now that she wasn't stuck with mere outlines. "Entire events and wars that happened without any record that we didn't even know about. Those things have certainly happened without the world ever really knowing about it or why something came to be..." She left it as sounding like mostly just conjecture, though her handful of students she already knew the names of would likely understanding the meaning right away. Maybe even a few of the other ones too. "As I've said, I won't dismiss theories or speculation on a subjective class as long as the work is shown to tell me what leads you to draw that conclusion."
Spoiler: Perception Roll 46+20(Perceptive)=66 success Elisa relaxes again. "You must be confusing me for another." Felicia can tell that the woman's composure is shaken. The guarded student probably remembers the scarred girl, or at least recognizes the name, but why does this seem to upset her? "I prefer working with oil paints; however, our time constraints render sketching the best option." She raises her hand, patiently waiting for the professor to notice.
"I don't know her, so you're probably right, sugar." She looks devious. "I'd appreciate it if you could ease her into this..." Phoebe lightly pushes Adam away, getting a feel for his muscled chest in the process. "Not yet, honey. I've got another class in a few minutes, and I can't spoil my appetite before such a delicious meal." She gives him an apologetic look. "Sorry to make you wait, cutie. Run along now, I'm sure you both have other classes to amuse yourselves in." Glancing at the clock, Adam realizes he has ten to fifteen minutes before his next class. Haunani, still red-faced, tells him, "I cannot miss my next lesson, Sorcerer. I must depart. Farewell," before walking out of the room. He is left alone with Phoebe, for now.
[I'd like to claim that saying 'propose' three times in that last post was a clever, purposeful thing, but it isn't. I must have forgotten that other words exist.] The clock rolls over to 12:00 PM, alerting Julia to the end of class as she finishes speaking. Haunani, along with most of the other students, quickly go to leave. Angelica moves slower, likely still recovering from the effects of her previous duel spirit being ejected, and Michio watches the former cultist pack her things from the back of the room. Julia also receives a text from Yumi, sent only to her rather than the accidentally-made group chat. So you are aware, I am still in touch with Adam privately. Do you believe he can be submissive in bed? He seems rather unaccustomed to the idea.
"-it was generally believed in many parts of the world that the devil only has power in it's dark. A common belief you'll observe is many religions and myth use fire against monsters. Following that placing a live coal in the chimney or lighting a candle could ward away evil spirits from their fear of the light." She gave a look at Angelica, making it clear to her what she means. If taking Sayen's idea that belief in magic was part of what made it work, then it might make her unconsciously stronger at resisting them. As class finally let out, she saw her phone buzz. It took her a few minutes to think of how to properly respond at what she had said. She and Adam....well, he was far from exactly innocent. She knew that. Still, Julia wasn't too sure what her thoughts were. That didn't take you long. You're both adults, but going for one of your students is kinda.... She couldn't really think of what really to say. She had planned on waiting for him to at least graduate first before doing it. The authority did have a bit of power dynamic that was an issue. She just wrote a quick follow up. Well, since he has an actual choice in it, it's probably fine? Not sure. But if he's not comfortable with it, he should be able to say no.
"Huh?" Felicia was surprised to see her suddenly shaken up, Probably not the best time to discuss this. It's lunch time after this class, so I'll do it then. The red-head thinks to herself, acting as if she didn't notice Elisa's composure take a hit. "Alright, I'll follow your lead. Hopefully professor Labronte doesn't expect perfection on the first day of class." The red-head whisper, giggling a bit as they wait for said professor to notice they're ready.
"You don't know her and you still want to include her in an orgy?" Adam chuckles in amused disbelief, shaking his head. He nods as Phoebe pushes him away. "Yeah - you'll be in no fit state to teach once I'm done with you, so we should wait for better timing." He promises. "A bientot." He nods to Huanani. "Sorry for getting you all worked up without any payoff." With his business here concluded, he heads to his next class.
Angelica makes one last note as she finishes gathering her things. "Thank you, professor." She bows politely before leaving. Michio walks up to Julia once the other woman's gone. "You're sure she was forced into the whole cult thing? Cause Dinah wasn't." She asks pointedly. "By the way, while I was dueling Carley yesterday, my sword covered itself in blue flame. That kind of thing normal for your spirit shit?" He sent a picture of himself, obviously interested, before I made any advances. My conscience is assauged. I will never force a person into sex. Never. I will be certain to make this clear to him.
Alice spots them after addressing another pair of students. After Elisa eloquently explains their choice of materials and reasoning, the professor provides paper fit for use on the easel and a variety of pencils differentiated by tip thickness. "One of you will begin the piece and the other will finish it. You will switch when I tell you to." The stick-wielding woman instructs the pair before going to another student with his hand in the air. Elisa looks to Felicia. "You ought to go first. I will provide detail and attempt to finish the work. This step is the most important." She steps out of the way, allowing the Obelisk Blue student an unobstructed view of the blank paper on the easel.
"I've never had that happen. It's had to say what it might mean. As for Angelica....I can't speak for how much was entirely her own free will and how much was controlled, but with the yokai expelled from her, she's notably a lot more gentle than before. It's difficult to say....but her new connection with Inazami though it's still a bit tenous wouldn't have happened if she didn't want to let go out from the connection that links them. They are aiming to take control of their vessel by force now....it will be difficult, but that also means she's not accepting them willingly. It's possible she did assist them at least somewhat willingly, but I'm not even sure you can fully consider the Angelica of the Makyashi and the one now as even really being quite the same person. But bottom line, if she hasn't changed.....I'll deal with it. But I don't get the feeling that's something to worry about unless the yokai find a way to assume control."
"You want me to... oh-alright." Felicia nods, Craaaap! What am I supposed to do now... errr... right, just trace something. The red-head keeps a calm expression, despite her internal panic. "Alright, err, leave it to me." She gives Elisa a smile as she sits down in front of the easel. "Here goes..." nothing... Felicia picks up a random pencil, This should do, I think? She thinks to herself as she recalls a simple monster. A resonator... those guys are cute... right? The red-head then tries to recall the monster she uses to call out her partner. Felicia then attempts to trace a rough outline of said monster. Spoiler: Resonator (Ignore the clock)
"That's part of the fun, honey!" Phoebe grins. "Come find me later whenever you feel the urge. I'll be waiting!" ----- Adam's next class is Principles of Biology. The classroom is mostly full by the time he arrives. A handsome man stands at the front of the room, readying his notes. Spoiler: Professor Looking around, Adam sees he has a couple seating options. The first spot is next to a quiet looking boy wearing a yellow uniform. Spoiler: Quiet Boy The other option is to sit beside a masked woman wearing a white and blue uniform. Spoiler: Masked Woman
Adam finds himself curious about the mask, but decides not to sit next to the girl - he's probably embroiled with too many dangerous seeming women as is. He sits next to the boy, giving him a nod of acknowledgement, as he prepares to endure the lesson.
Spoiler: Persuasion Roll 72+10(Charisma)+10(Intelligence)+10(Spirit Taming)=102 crit. success Michio seems notably calmer by the time Julia finishes explaining Angelica's situation. "Okay." She nods. "I'll try to reach out to her. Sounds like she could use the help." The woman turns to follow the former cultist, leaving Julia alone with an hour-long lunch break until her next class.
Spoiler: Sketching Roll 65=65 success While it's nothing special, Felicia manages to produce an accurate portrait of the little Tuner. It almost seems to stare back at her while she draws. Elisa looks on with approval. The scarred student has a little more time to add some detail or another subject in addition to the Resonator if she wants.
His neighboring classmate's eyes widen at Adam, but the professor interrupts, beginning the class. "Hey everyone, I'm Professor Vincenzo, but please call me Giovanni." He smiles charmingly, effortlessly playing the part of a laid back, "cool" teacher. "Let's start with the syllabus. I know, every other class does this, but it's necessary. It won't take long." Spoiler: Perception Roll 68=68 success Adam can tell that the Ra Yellow student, his gaze following the professors every move, is far more interested in the man than in the repetitive talk of scheduling, grading, etc.
With a bit more time for lunch, Julia determined she'd try to commune with Valkyrus about ritual preparations that could influence things in their favor.
