Just as he hoped, Tenma flips over Black Illusion Ritual. Wasting no time, he plays the spell, sacrificing a Sheep Token to Ritual Summon Relinquished.

Activating the monster's effect, he takes control of Demise, equipping Jessica's monster to his own. With nothing else standing between Tenma and his opponent, he commands Relinquished to attack, cutting the girl's Life Points to 6200, before ending his turn.

Jessica draws, frowning mightily. "I play Preparation of Rites. I'll add Ruin, Angel of Oblivion from my deck to my hand and add End of the World back to my hand as well."

An identical clone of the monster absorbed by Relinquished materializes before it. "I use Demise's effect to destroy Relinquished." Unable to halt her, Tenma watches a beam of energy shoot from Demise's axe, blasting a hole through his monster. "And now, Demise will kill one of your sheep." He cleaves a lamb in half before Jessica ends her turn.

Tenma draws Unpossessed. Not yet wanting to call his strongest card, he sets the trap as well as Wynn the Wind Charmer before ending his turn.

Apparently not holding anything useful, Jessica attacks and destroys another goat, Demise almost seeming to take pleasure in the act. The turn passes to Tenma.
