The feeling of the rush of wind was something she only really encountered recently. She couldn’t gauge the exact nature, but if his interest was in the Mist Valley, that was likely where it lied. Or perhaps one of the varaints. It definitely didn’t seem to be like the Shinobird’s, or she would have noticed more in line with them than just being a wind spirit.[Sorry, I forgot to write that in. Blue.]
"Nic Heathrow. What do you mean? Do I look out of sorts?" He asks, slightly anxious, before being dismissed by the professor.
He has a weak spirit which is related to Wind, but Julia can't pin it down any further.36+10(Spirit Taming)=46 weak fail
"Right. It's pronounced ee-chell--e as in he and chell as in the girl from Portal--but you were close. Mi madre gave me a tough name to get right." The green-haired girl gives a good-natured smile. "I was wondering if I could still sign up for that class you mentioned? It seems really interesting."
Her spirit is an unusual one. It inhabits a Trap Card--Naturia Sacred Tree.97+10=107 crit. success
But the green haired woman…Julia was surprised. Not by the idea she was tied to the Naturia. Though, she was surprised to find someone aligned with them so easily. But made more strange was her spirit wasn’t even a monster at all. It was a first for her to realize such a thing was even possible.
What did it mean? Embodying an event? An object like the Naturia tree made sense in theory for representing the will of the forest, but why wasn’t it a guardian or something with thought? There were certainly plenty of monsters to fit that description.
In theory, trees were living things…but even more jarringly was it was specifically a trap card.
If it was about not any one single monster and the plant life as a whole, the field spell would do the same, wouldn’t it? Though…a trap card didn’t necessarily represent trickery or deception for that matter. But defense. And the tree itself functioned with a certain sense of rebirth and renewal. What did it mean?
Julia struggled to come up with a single strong interpretation of what it meant, but in some capacity, the idea it was possible for duel spirits to be housed in things other than monsters would be far from the most out there thing she’s heard.
“Certainly. I’m always happy to have people take an interest in it. Sounds to me what got your interest was the mention of plant life. You know, I remember Yumi mentioning to me you liked to use a Naturia deck, yourself.” She played it off lightly of how she would know that as possibly just idly mentioned in discussion.
But…that was…Ice Barrier. A strong possibility for Mist Valley. X-Saber. Naturia. All the allies. That just left Flamvell….and something else that was missing. She wasn’t quite sure about the other tribe or for that matter, if it even really existed, but Flamvell was a greater note. There was only one person she knew who used a Fire deck at all, and seemed that they might know about duel spirits….but it couldn’t be. Not him.
