Hi guys. Just wanted to celebrate with you this exciting milestone and encourage someone who might be doubting if this self-publishing thing really works .

I'm an author of interracial gay erotica and I started self publishing on Amazon in September and my first title went live on 13 September. Since then, I have published close to 30 titles with the prices varying between 99 cents and 3.99 depending on length. I went so hard on marketing posting teasers to different forums and sites online and I'm happy my efforts paid off a little bigger than I expected: today I have hit the 500th order placed on my work! I'm really excited and simply couldn't keep this to myself.

I also shared this to encourage in case there is someone who is doubting if this Amazon kdp really works. IT DOES! ... if you are ready to put in the work. If there's any other indie writer under my niche or otherwise who might like sharing his experience, let's talk.

If you might be interested in checking out my work, check it out here

My wife published a romantasy novel on Amazon a couple months back as well. She's got a little over 100 sales by now and it is just that one novel so far (with multiple more planned and in the works to be released over the next few years) so Amazon does work for new writers. Far better than just getting a stack of physical books from a publisher and trying to sell them yourself. It's not free and editor and cover artist costs are a thing as well, but for a rookie it is a pretty good way to start.

The Kindle unlimited deal is also a great boon since you get people who already pay for the service so them opening your book and seeing if they like it costs nothing extra for them, but you can get royalties from it and moreso if they enjoy the writing and read more than just a first taste of it.

Good for you and your wife! Yeah, you are right, Kindle Unlimited is really great and the bigger part of my royalties have come from it. Good luck to you and your wife and keep writing
