Heroes and Villains of Century City

Azura collapses, face against the pillow as she feels unexpectedly drained by her fight. As the smell of cooking food wafts into the bedroom, the heroine feels soft hands pressing into her back, massaging the tired muscles. ''Want some company, or are you too tired?'' Esmerelda asks, straddling the younger woman.
“Mmm, that feels nice...” Azura half-moaned and half-groaned as she was massaged. “I'm not that tired. Having some company while waiting for the food will be nice... especially if it is a pretty girl offering a free massage...”

Sadly, Squidlock fails to see anything he can overtly exploit. The couple do not seem overly affectionate with one another, though that could just be that the husband is tired after a day of work.

Grunting, Squidlock decides he may as well go for it. Once it is dark enough, he casts an illusion spell over himself to give him the appearance of a non-descriptive man in a black suit with sunglasses. The kind of look an FBI agent or similar law enforcement figure dealing with the mob might have. He did not have any ID or such, but all he really needed was a foot in the door, one way or the other. With that in mind, he walked up to the front door, keeping himself as much in shadows along the way as he could, and knocked.

Luckily, as the door swings open, Sonata feels the person on the other end move straight to investigate the broken lock. Before the door can shut closed before the guy, the hero is across and into the club, footsteps muffled.

With his sensitive hearing, Sonata is nearly blown away by the sheer volume of music that pounds through the interior of the building. Looking around, he sees that the clientele are a mix of punk aesthetic enjoying civilians, and members of the gang he encountered earlier. Looking around, he sees a stage, a bar, and a set of stairs leading up to a second floor balcony, a jacketed thug guarding the steps. In the throng, Sonata has so far avoided attention entirely.

He heaves a sigh now that the obvious danger has passed, but the unbearably loud music immediately sets him on edge again. Struggling to see and think through all the noise, he slowly removes his mask, stowing it in a back pocket. Where's the sister? Hmmm. Probably upstairs. Disguise better work. He weaves through the crowd to the staircase, matching his voice to that of the thief from earlier, and tells the guard. "Need to see my sister."

"Idiot, they obviously won't fire at us. But they will fire at Lawrence. So you go first, and I'll go last so they'll hesitate to shoot." Vanessa replied, frowning at Vince doubting he'd even consider using himself as a shield to keep her butler from harms way.

"Fine, just don't take too long. These idiots might miss and hit you." The fat businessman gives a heave, before jumping up in the air and catching the handle of the hatch, pulling it open as his feet hit the metal of the container. Moonlight floods the hold, and he clambers up, the sounds of gunshots coming from below and explosions from above.
"Indeed~" Faye answered as her body shuddered.

"Nate Carter." She said hotly. "I would thought that after threw you out, you would not have money and influence to get here. Must have costed you a lot~" She said with a chuckle.

Corruption was part of life - it was something that she accepted was a part of human nature. So she closed eyes on smaller acts... but Nate was brazen in his actions.

He was skilled manager, she would give him that... but he was also hedonistic, petty and a bully. There were just too many complains on him, that it was a miracle he climbed as high as he did. Through, he did gain the loyalty of his chofer... she was not surprised, considering how often he fucked her.

She turned to face him, and to her surprise she found a woman next to him.

"And you are?" She asked the skimpy clothed woman.

"Mrs Brooke Carter." She answered. "Wife of Nate... So you are the bitch who fired him?" She asked with a smirk.

"And he screamed and cried like a little slut when I did~" Faye answered, making Brooke frown. "Enjoying the party, I hope?" She turned to Nate, not bothering to remove his hand from her ass. "So, what brings you here, Nate? Licking boots of some important people in hope they would hire you? Or are you here for pleasure?"

Nate grits his teeth in irritation as Faye recounts the time he lost his job, but his wife strokes his arm, and he relaxes, the small action making the tension visibly ease out of him as he starts seeming more confident. "Hmph, leaving your company turned out to be a boon - I now have a far higher placed position at Arch Corp." He smirks smugly, before turning to face the mayor, no trace of recognition on his face for the woman behind the mask as he licks his lips. "And who is this? One of your employees, Faye? She must be a new hire - if she had worked at the company while I was there, I'd have had her bent over my desk in minutes." Kizuhara rolls her eyes, barely paying attention to the man's leering eye, as she makes eye contact with Brooke. "Your husband seems to like punching above his weight. Metaphorically, obviously, few people are heavier than that fatass."

“Mmm, that feels nice...” Azura half-moaned and half-groaned as she was massaged. “I'm not that tired. Having some company while waiting for the food will be nice... especially if it is a pretty girl offering a free massage...”
"A massage is the least I can do, for the person who saved my life." Esmerelda chuckles, her fingers pressing into the skin of Azura's back, steadily drawing lower. "Though I'm a bit old for you to call me a girl, I think."

Once Vanessa was sure Vince wasn't looking, she takes the collar from her coat, and locks it around her neck. "Lawrence, get ready to leave." She said as she feels her godlike power fill her body. The heiress wastes no time as she knocks out the thugs shooting at them. Waiting for Lawrence to head on up, before removing the collar, and withdrawing herself.

Squidlock feels the warm rush of magic envelop his body, as he finds himself clad in a dark suit.

A few knocks, and the door slides open, the housewife appearing in front of the disguised monster in the same workout gear as earlier, with an apron over it, her pleasant greeting interrupted by a worried gasp as she sees him in his disguise, guileless face clearly expressing bemusement and worry at why someone seemingly from law enforcement would be visiting her house. "C-Can I help you?"

"Heh, sure thing, little sis." The guard chuckles and gestures up the stairs with his thick neck. Above, Sonata sees a bar with a view of the dancefloor below, a dozen patrons drinking and talking among themselves - identical tattoos labelling them as members of the gang. Besides maybe the barman, everyone here is a criminal, and bulges underneath shirts and jackets reveal that most are armed. At the bar, a woman sits with her pistol holstered, a cigarette and glass of whiskey in either hand. Looking to the stairs, she smiles. "Hey! Over 'ere, kiddo!" She shouts over.

"Is she?" One of the thugs manages to get out, before Vanessa attacks.

In mere moments the bad guys fall, Vanessa a green gray blur as she zooms around in her dress, not taking a single bullet, though it likely wouldn't matter if she had. "Madame..." Lawrence's voice sounds out through the now empty cargo hold. "Was it wise...Exposing your secret to those thugs?"

"Phew." Vanessa lets out a sigh as the thugs were knocked out, "It... probably wasn't. But with the beating I gave them... hopefully they'll think nothing of it... maybe even make it out so the heroine under my employment showed up." She replied, though it was a stretch, with how fast some heroes could move, it wouldn't be weird if they mistook it for that. After all, as Vanessa Fitzgerald, she's never once showed any signs of being able to fight. "Now, let's go before their back up arrives, or Hammer and Centurion's duel ends." She beckons Lawrence to leave.

"Oh, you don't change Nate - if there is a mine, you will step on it, without thinking. That's why I fired you - you just don't know when to be... what's the word? Discrete." Faye chuckled. She was quite suprised that man like that had chick like Brooke married to him... it was quite interesting. Was she matching characters with him, or was she simply a gold digger? "No, she is not my worker, Nate." She said as she nodded to Kizuhara. Then her attention turned back to Brooke - what was the pair going for here? A simple need to brag... yes, that was how Nate was, so that would be not surprising. "Well, it's been... interesting, but I want to look around - have fun, Nate and good luck in Arch's Corp." She then turned to Booke, her hand gropped woman's ass. "It was a pleasure~".

Azura let out another moan as she enjoyed the massage. “Nah, you're not old at all. Besides, 'pretty girl' sounds better than 'pretty woman', at least to me. Maybe I should call you 'pretty lady' instead? Or will that sound like I am talking to some stuck-up noblewoman? How about 'my pretty'? Nah, that will just make me sound like a mustache-twirling villain bragging how he finally has the beautiful damsel in his hands...”

Sonata nervously walks over to join the woman. "Hey, sis." He sits next to her as he continues, noticeably dazed. "A super's after you. Killed some of your men. He was going to off me too unless I snitched, so I told the asshole you were based on the other side of the city." God, this is such a stupid plan.

Keeping his face and voice as deadpan as possible, he continues to try and give the aura of an agent with no sense of humor. "Ma'am, is this the residence of a Linda Lee?"

She beckons Lawrence to leave.
Heading up, Vanessa sees Vince crouched on the gangplank, gesturing furiously for her to get away from the ship. Above, the fight rages. Hammer throws a superpowered punch that crumples a section of power armor, before he's thrown bodily by Centurion, crashing through the ship's fore mast, which groans and creaks as it begins to collapse. As Hammer picks himself back up and leaps back into the fray, it crashes into the water.

In the fracas, Vanessa is certain that she and Lawrence can slip away without detection.

"Please stop talking." Azura feels a playful swat against her ass, before Esmerelda's hand makes its way to her thigh, sliding upwards towards the rim of her skirt. "As much as that babbling is endearing, there are other sounds I'd prefer to hear you make."

Seeing the fight, Vanessa struggles to keep standing from the shockwaves brought by their intense duel. "Let's go!" She called for Vince to follow, wondering why he didn't seem to plan to escape. Once Lawrence got up, they escape to her car, where she drives away as fast as she could.

As Sonata looks up at the woman, he sees that his inner monologue has been proven wrong, at least for now. The gang member seems more than a little drunk, and her attention is split between her 'brother' and a man she's making eyes with across the room. For now, she seems to have bought it.

"Crap..." She hammers down her vodka, before gesturing for the barman to slide her another. "I figured my boys had just forgotten to check in. You okay, bro? Did this super hurt you?" Through the drunkenness, real concern shines through for him.

Keeping his face and voice as deadpan as possible, he continues to try and give the aura of an agent with no sense of humor. "Ma'am, is this the residence of a Linda Lee?"
The woman gulps again, looking concerned. "Um, n-no. Linda is my s-sister. I'm Sarah. Can I ask what this is about? Is Linda okay?"
