Barkeep grabs money from Jazmina and counted them, checking for any sign of mismarks. He found none, so he add it to cash.
"Not much troubles, as I'm concern. Inside town except some pickpockets or cheaters at cassino, there are no major criminals. Most citizens carry weapons themselves, so anyone who intended to make some mess, must be ready for getting bullet or two. We have also some special punishment for criminals, which discourages most of them to try anything". He sigh and filled glass of milk for himself.
"But outside the city are still some outlaws who tried their luck with stealing and robbing on the road. Most of them have bounty on their head, if you are interested, you should check in the sheriff office, he put them on the front wall for everyone to see".
Jazmina nodded along to the barkeep's words... The settlement didn't seem unusual in the habits of the local criminal population... Minor crimes within the city limits, major crimes in the outskirts and beyond. Perhaps if the place ended up expanding, the opportunity for a true vagabond to disappear among the populace would precipitate a more serious crime wave... But that was below Jazmina, at least for now. Now her concern was money, and consulting the bounty board seemed the best way to get some from what she was hearing. With a tilt of her hat, she dropped another dollar on the counter. "For your time," she explained the tip away, before turning and marching away.
Of course, Jazmina needed to look out for Zancada as surely as she needed to look out for herself. Thus, she unhitched him and rode around the saloon to get at the stables, searching for the stableboy in the yard.
