Story map lag

Whenever I open the story map it lags my browser especially if the story map is large. It is happening to me on firefox. Anyone else experiencing this? Did you fix it and how. My computer is good, so I shouldn't be getting the lag.

How large is the story map? Because 100 chapters or less means somethings up, but 10,000 is probably just server lag on CHYOA's part. I don't know too much about coding, but I do know loading in a couple thousand links can be a little more strenuous than your average website.

On 167 chapters, I experience stalling and minor freezing when right-clicking. On stories with large amounts of chapters like the gamer, I experience 5 second or longer pauses while scrolling. Freezing while right clicking for 10 seconds or longer. entire browser freezing when rightclicking or opening a page. It has issues with firefox and edge but non on brave :S

If you didn't already, try a private firefox window (ctrl+shift+p). It will launch Firefox with default settings and no extensions. If it fixes it - try disabling extensions one by one , maybe one extension does this.

I've tried privating and disabling all extensions with no success. Looks like I'm just going to have to use brave with a nsfw profile XD Thanks for the replies.
