As an assigned owner, you can access the Edit Story page but the link doesn't show up on the MyStories list. I think the easiest way to get to that site is through the story map: Go to the story map of the story. Replace the "map" in the address bar with "edit" and hit enter.

The story owner has deleted their account. Right now, there is no editor. The last added chapter was approved by a moderator. (But there is still a pending chapter.)
So it is an orphaned story. I wonder how many stories are like that? Existing after most or all people in editorial roles having left it.
Well, most stories don't have editors. So when the owner leaves, they're already abandoned. There are certainly a lot of stories without active owners/editors, some of them with pending chapters.

I think Friedman hasn't had time to take a look at it yet. Right now, the user ilp999 is an editor of the story. But that doesn't mean that there couldn't be two editors.
