The dowager notices, but doesn't respond except with a sly smirk. The emperor nods. "I hope to hear great things of both of you." Sengoku nods to indicate that the pair are free to leave.

From what she understands of the game, she thinks that she has a strong hand. Some of the men around the table look highly confident, though.

'We will strife to give you good news, your Majesty,' Jian bowed his head to Emperor, before nodded at the Empress dowager, giving her a smile, and then at the Sengoku.
Turning on his heel and leaving with his cousin, he was relieved that everything went well.

Inazuma decided to play victim this time.

"I see you've managed to get yourself some revenge, however. The shogun follows you around like a puppy. If only the empress could be made to yield to me in the same way."

"But make no mistake, she is a cunning woman and ambitious one - not that different from Empress."
