CHYOA Guru
{I do really like those inner dialogues of you character}
The boy stayed in her embrace for a few more moments, then backed and looked at her.
"How can you become stronger-" He paused and looked at the bodies. "Wait-" he started then looked back at her. "If you are strong, will you be able to bring them back?!" He asked, hope entering his voice.
[Thank you! Felt like a good way to represent a mind-focused eldritch god without making it incomprehensible.]
Perfect. Guilog smugly smirks internally, but her avatar's expression saddens. "We will not be able to return the souls to this realm..." She elegantly shakes her head. "...but we will be able to guide them to our true domain--Gephalos." The woman lies smoothly, planning to use the human's own mind in the future to create a facsimile of the non-worshipers who perished here. "There, you shall have them once again, if Tai pledges itself to our service." Guilog gives the boy a look of compassion. "We strengthen through worship. Praise and serve us, and we shall grow powerful within this realm. We know this is much to request, but we make an oath that, should Tai do this, it will see the souls." She leaves the wording of the oath intentionally vague, not that she is bound to them in the first place.
