Sometimes when I log on to the site, I have huge amount of notifications. And while it is nice to see that, I realised that likes, bookmarks and comments are all in the same stream and while I would like to go see what people have commented, comments in particular are easy to miss. Especially if I had a break from the site and come back to a 100+ notifications. Unless I've missed something, if I go look at my Chapters, I see the likes and views, but not the comments. The only way to look for comments in chapters I've written (if I missed one in the notification stream) is to open up the story maps. And since I have written chapters for multiple stories and my chapters are spread quite wide, I might easily miss comments and not notice them. If there was a way to look at old notifications and pick and choose which of them it shows (much like how the chapters can be ordered to show most viewed or most commented first, for example) it would help with this issue.
The quickest way to check if you get any new comments is go on introduction and click on "All comments" above the chapters comments It's also possible to tweak notifications, on the top right corner there's a small downward arrow, click on that and then pick "Notifications setting"
But it's not like I want to get rid of the other notifications, so the latter method would require going back and forth on the settings. Would be nice if notifications for comments was a separate thing or otherwise easy to check. And the "All comments" thing could be a lot of wading through the comments on any bigger story and won't separate new comments into something that could be easily seen.
So basically a filter for notifications with options like - comments - likes - faves/bookmarks - approved my content - added content (for review) or to my chapters - added content to faved stories or bookmarks - activity of followed users - miscellaneous (There might be some overlap as some notifications might fit more than one category.)
