Feast Hall of the Count of Henring, Two Weeks after Joining:

So much damned work, and for nothing. Cerim tries not to scowl as he sits in the lordly hall, all but invisible among the many feasting nobles, pagers and hangers-on. Getting a fake pass had involved a lot of prep work and not a little amount of pretending to be a girl, but Cerim had managed to track his prey inside the hall of a feasting noble. She's from an old family, so it makes sense she'd get an invite despite her money troubles.
hilda_boreas_greyrat_18_by_pandazonebeex_dfiu1xs-fullview.jpg

Cerim briefly makes eye contact with the target, and feels the urge to look hurriedly away. He keeps his cool, though, and keeps looking for a second or two, before turning his head away to look at other women, acting like he was just casually looking around. The redhead noble turns away, not paying him any more attention. Looking around the hall for real, he sees that the snatch likely isn't happening tonight. The place is well patrolled, and there will be little chance of him getting her away if she resists without the lord's guards getting involved.

Cerim has been watching the redhead for two weeks. He'd found it surprising that the guild would give him a job like this, but it makes sense, he supposes, that they want to see his skills in his own element before trying to take different types of quests. His target is an impoverished noblewoman, the scion of a respectable house. Sadly for her, her late husband spent beyond his means, and left his wife with the debts. One of the creditors isn't willing to wait for her to find some money, but kidnapping nobles is frowned upon in this part of the continent, and so Cerim came into the picture.

To say elf was in sour mood would be an understatement of the century. He was fuming in his seat. In the hindsight, this was the worst possible plan for his usual approach. Too many people, guards, an entire trail of favors he had to leave to even appear here. Sweet talking his clients was one thing, but even making small talk without sticking out like a sore thumb was another. It goes without question that even among the nobles dressed in fantastical dresses and clothing, cyan elf was sticking out only a bit less than among commoners. Not like he had much choice, his cyan leaf dress is only piece of clothing he had. He couldn't even put on his cloak to hide it, since it would draw even more attention.

Elf took a deep breath, closing his eyes for just a moment. Let's take it one step at a time. What are the threats currently?

His pass is fake. He was let inside and guards wouldn't dare interrupt the feasting to check, so no reason to worry about that. Leaving shouldn't be a problem either.

Secondly, any "familiar" faces. He was half of world away from his usual place, but that didn't eliminate possibility of one of his former clients just showing up, even if they were mostly small fry, merchants, wanna-be-nobles, mayors of tiny villages. He can just say he was curious, eager to see how a real feast looks like. One of his friends let him in and he wouldn't want to get them in trouble by sharing who they are, would he?

And lastly, he needs to leave as little information as possible. He's invisible for now but once he starts asking, it's only fair he will receive some questions as well. So what is his story? He's Carolin, an escort for a man with "golden hair and cloak", who sadly failed to show up. Now she's annoyed because she was supposed to be paid after the feast. And when they ask about said "golden man"? Cerim can just say it's delicate matter since he has a wife.

Satisfied with reasonable fake identity, Cerim glances around, making sure he was in the clear before rising his head up from the plate.

"Wasnt she married? Where is her husband?" Elf said, pointing at the redhead with the fork, faking ignorance about his target's situation to maybe get a snipped of info from someone sitting next to him.

"Too common." Ellaria sighs, as they walk closer and closer to the looming monolith of the great temple. "People abandon their homes looking for excitement. Sorcerers practice forbidden arts. Men and women - even women and women on occasion - lose themselves in their own passion. It's awful..." The dark elf sighs.

"Now, now, 'Lari, it's not always so bad." A confident, sultry female voice sounds, and Eran looks up to see a different dark elf standing in the great arched doorway of the temple.

"I am Emara, head priestess of Yselva at this temple. I welcome you. Forgive my daughter - she does not favor the more liberal rights of Yselva." She smiles. "Please, follow me. It is I who requires your aid."
“A pleasure to meet you, Emara,” Eran offered a polite bow to the head priestess, “How can I be of assistance?” he asked as he examined the older dark elf, taking in her looks. Damn, she's hot as well! Just look at those massive tits! He thought as he followed behind the older elf, using the chance to check out her butt. And that ass! Yummy! Oh, how I would love to pound her and her daughter together! But even just either one of them would be great! His pants had gotten much tighter all of a sudden.

"Once she is fully broken, I care not what happens to her. You may take her." The voice answers after a moment of thinking.

"Then... we have a deal~" Zendak smiled as he turned around.

He made his way to the guild - he needed to check the registry to find his query. And for that, he needed the aid of the secretary~ He was sure he could convince her.

"I, um, thank you...?" The elf asks, raising an eyebrow in confusion at Delphi's exuberance. "I...don't usually give private lessons." She says carefully. "The University doesn't care for it."

"Oh, no need to make it all official." Delpie steps closer to the elf and gives her a friendly smile. "We would just, talk. If the topic of music comes up, well... I'm sure I know a few songs that you don't know."

I hope this works, because I really don't know how else to stay close enough to keep an eye on her! Except for acting like a horny/slutty fan girl. Then again, she IS kind of cute...

NO! FOCUS! Work before pleasure!

Looking around, Eliza sees that the merchant district is well suited to a town dominated by the adventurer's trade. Among the stalls and shopfronts, she sees a few places relevant to her current requirements.

- Snorrson's Weaponry

- The Paladin's Shield Armorer

- The Adventurer's Paradise - General Goods and Equipment

- Arcane Armory - Spellbooks and Magical Paraphernalia

Moreover, she sees a few shops that interest her, even if they don't quite relate to adventuring.

- The Golden Vixen - Beautiful women's clothing and Jewelry

- The Scholar's Librarium - Non magical books of all genres and types

Not far away, Maelon sits at a table, eating some sort of baked snack. He's intent on his meal, and hasn't seen her.
The right side of Eliza's lip tipped upwards at the sight of Maelon eating, oblivious to her presence. For a moment she considered gaining his attention, after all they were both headed to Collingworth and it would make sense for them to coordinate and pool their resources to get whatever they needed so that they didn't end up buying double what they needed, or purchasing things separately and then not having enough for something that they would be a necessity. But she paused before she raised her hand to wave at him, something told her that he would be bored to tears shopping at the Golden Vixen and it was a place that she always enjoyed going to.

Figuring that she would spare Maelon an outing he would not appreciate she ducked away into the Golden Vixen before he saw her. "When I'm done we'll check out the other places together. He'll probably enjoy them a lot more." She rationalized.

"Time to see what they've got." Eliza thought to herself.

As Zilavra raises her head from her bow, she sees that the shadowy figure is gone. As she turns to leave the old caverns and head back into the sewers, she sees a folder tied to a pillar behind her. Looking inside, she sees a fair amount of information on her prey.

Name: Otto Szemlid
Appearance: A human male, thickset and bearded. Olive skin. Wears brightly colored silks and feathers.
Estimated threat: Minimal - Otto is beyond all things a merchant, not a fighter. He talks his way past threats, but should be no threat for one off your skills. It is unlikely he understands the information he was able to luck into, not the threat it puts him under.
Security: Two bodyguards - mercenary fighters. They are a female orc and a male Northman human. No particular renown. Otto does keep a trailer of exotic animals, some potentially dangerous if they escaped.

Potential choke points:

- Residence: Otto has a room at the Green Dragon Inn for sleeping, with adjoining rooms for his guards. No great security, but the Inn is filled with people.

- Market Square: Otto arrives at the market square early each morning, to set up his stalls for the day's business. He is there consistently until nightfall. The Square provides large crowds for anonymity, but any killing here will inevitably be public.

- The Brothel: The Golden Hand Bordello. Otto stops here each night after the day's sales, indulging with one or more . The brothel consists of a large open space where patrons can drink and solicit prostitutes. The 'business' itself occurs in private rooms. Otto will be isolated when he goes into the private rooms, but the brothel has its own security staff to deal with troublemakers, who will intervene if they realise what's happening.
Zilavra read the note and started contemplating a plan. She immediately wrote off the idea of The Brothel. It was possible that it would be the safest route, but it would require many things to go right. Her scars would make it difficult to get a job there and there was no way of knowing whether Otto would accept the attention of a dark elf. It also would require her to be able to be seductive or sultry. Things that were also difficult for her.

She crumpled the note and left. Her first task was to find someplace to stay near or even inside the Green Dragon Inn. If she could befriend one or both of his guards and somehow delay them, then it may make an attack in the Market Square more accessible. On the other hand, she could wait and look for a quiet moment to strike at some point if his protection let their guards down inside the residence.

Meira hears a man cry out in surprise amidst a few shouts of shock, as roots emerge from the ground, latching around the feet of kidnapper and victim, as well as passers by. The roots, however, are green and weak, and it shouldn't take long for any able bodied person to kick their way free.
Having at least stopped her target’s movement, it would give her the chance to get closer and hopefully at least properly face her target. She tried to think of what she could do here. If she could get close enough to properly see her target, she’d have to take a risk and try one of her mental spells. Trying to dominate had dangers and she still never really managed using it on a person consistently. But if she kept it to very simplistic instructions, that might work.

Let go and save yourself.

The command probably was pretty simple, but there wasn’t really time to guess how well it would work before she had to make her attempt.

“Mmhn… what the hell is that?” Fei grumbles from the unfamiliar scent. Sure she’s had some relationships in the past, and even went all the way with a few of her partners. But none of them produced such a… strange smell before. And with Peng grabbing at her boots, with Fei’s attention caught between her book, and the strange musk. “Ah! You little!” She gasps, allowing the goblin to take off her left boot, letting him see her silky, stocking-clad foot.
Fei feels herself get just the slightest, almost imperceptible bit hotter as she smells the scent. Her thoughts on the subject are interrupted by Peng. "Ghihihi..." The diminuitive monster chuckles as he pulls off her boot. She feels his long, slimy tongue slide along her fabric-clad foot, pressing between her toes. The tamed beast, Fei knows, won't try to rape her - if she forcibly stops Peng, his training will kick in and make him obey. No amount of taming can override the bestial instinct to touch and grope a fertile female if she's in reach, though.

Claudia rise her shield to parry his halberd, smiling to him. Ewen if she mistake him, there is no point now in stopping. They both spread blood, so only way out for them is to defeat opponent. She used her shield to parry his strike from long reach weapon and then stab him in the face with her dagger, moving closer to him.

Claudia feels the force travel up her arm as she blocks the halberd with her shield, but it doesn't stop her. She moves forward, pivoting. The dagger slams upwards, piercing the soldier's neck, and he walks a few steps in shock, before falling to the ground. Claudia is left there by the water, panting and bruised, but alive.

"Mmmhh!" Fei couldn't help but let out a surprised, yet sweet voice as Peng's long, slimy tongue glides along her stocking-clad foot. "You, stop it already!" Blushing just a little bit, she pulls her foot back, before thrusting it right into Peng's face to kick him away. "Enough. Behave now, or I'll only give you half a portion for dinner." She scolds him, taking in a deep breath to try and calm herself. Only to inhale more of the strange smell, "Mmh." Which then makes her shudder, "What... what the hell is causing such a smell." She says in an irritated voice, placing her book on the bed, putting her boot back on, before checking on the drawer where the strange musk seems to be coming from.

Claudia breathed heavily, feeling how all emotions and adrenaline leaving her body. Again she managed to survive combat. She stared at her covered in blood dagger, as it saved her life again. She get up and clean dagger in clothes of dead men.
„Well, it looks like I have won this fight. Good for me”. She said and takes her own sword from the ground.
„I have to talk to that woman. She probably hides herself in house”. Claudia looted body of the soldier.

Casting an eye on his prey, Cerin begins to notice the man sitting next to her - a portly middle aged human man with an oversized moustache and flowing brightly colored robes that cover his fat. He leans in to whisper in the redhead's ear, too close and intimately to be casual. The noblewoman looks repulsed, but doesn't do anything to reproach him. Or can't...

"Her?" A guard in armor stationed nearby says, afforded the opportunity to make small talk as he's positioned near low status commoners rather than nobles and burghers. "Husband's dead. And rumor has it she has to do whatever she can to deal with the debts he left. With whoever she has to..." The warrior chortles.

Eliane coldly smiles before knocking The Man in her grasp unconcious and throwing her Dagger at one of The Thieves before drawing her Longsword.

"Atleast Nobody has to carry Your Bodies far..."

Elaine Takes a Defensive stance, pointing her Sword at them letting them come at her to Block and evade their Attacks, following Up with quick lethal Counter strikes.

“A pleasure to meet you, Emara,” Eran offered a polite bow to the head priestess, “How can I be of assistance?” he asked as he examined the older dark elf, taking in her looks. Unlike Ellaria, Emara realises the attention, smirking softly, as she turns around. Her...clothing, for lack of a better word, barely covers her ass, meaning that Eran has a fantastic view of her round posterior as she moves ahead of him, leading him and Ellaria through the pews and into the back rooms of the temple. They stop in what seems to be a board room or office of some kind. The three of them are alone, and Eran has flashes of a three way that sadly fail to materialise as the priestesses get to business. "We need you to recover an artifact that was stolen from the temple." Emara begins to explain. "It's a statuette, maybe a foot tall, displaying the goddess' emergence into the heavens." Eran knows from his own minor religious education that that means the statue is of a naked Yselva.

"Then... we have a deal~" Zendak smiled as he turned around.

He made his way to the guild - he needed to check the registry to find his query. And for that, he needed the aid of the secretary~ He was sure he could convince her.
The voice lets him leave without trouble, as Zendak finds his way back to the local guild branch office, which is a smaller version of the main guild hall, magically connected to the main headquarters through some sort of spacetime sorcery. Heading to the desk, he sees another rookie adventurer griping about losing his starting gear. Instead of the old man that signed him up, an elf woman stands behind the desk, radiating sweetness even as the adventurer gets more and more belligerent.

"I'm very sorry, sir, but there are no replacements for starting gear. If you've lost your weapon, you'll need to replace it yourself." She smiles, the sweetness not relaxing a moment, even as the guy in front of Zendak starts to shout.

"Oh, no need to make it all official." Delpie steps closer to the elf and gives her a friendly smile. "We would just, talk. If the topic of music comes up, well... I'm sure I know a few songs that you don't know."

Lydia's eyes are open wide for a moment, before she smirks. "Well, I suppose I have nothing planned tonight." She leans in a little raising a hand. Her long, slender finger touches Delphi's upper chest and begins to slide downwards. "I wouldn't be averse to making a pretty little thing like you sing..."

The right side of Eliza's lip tipped upwards at the sight of Maelon eating, oblivious to her presence. Inside, Eliza sees a surprisingly elegant and luxurious feeling store, given that it's supposed to be marketed to adventurers. Racks of clothing items dominate the floorspace, with plentiful changing rooms down a long hallway. A few doors in that hallway are ajar, showing that there are larger rooms for measuring and tailoring as well. At a counter stands a blue haired woman who smiles.
