The fight against Alide will not be counted. Nothing on the final floor counts for this.

 

Alright, time for totally the final fight!

Before we do anything we should first confirm the arena. Does this take place in the pool area or the first place we faced off against the Rack?

 

That's a relief. Didn't really want to rehash the rope room.

 

To clarify the specific setting is not copied. It is a fairly neutral arena, only with specific traits of the room the failed fight happened in. So it wouldn't be the bath room anyway.

 

In that case the open grenade strategy seems to be our best option.

The Rack shouldn't really be able to catch Yulia if she stays at range and she should also be immune against any status effect.

Beyond that the regular stuff of undermine and Yulia's offensive spells should get the job done.

 

Newest Chapter: The Final Challenge

 

Well done. I can't say I expected that particular choice, but it's for you to make.

 

While the Rack was a little anti-climactic as a final boss, I'm glad we didn't have to risk fighting Alide one more time. And now, for a huge decision.

Honestly, I think both outcomes have their merits. Either way, your world is saved. The question comes down to where you, Yulia, wish to go. On one hand, you can take Cherchiel and Dahlia and go to your old world. You'll be reunited with your friends and companions there, and if they truly love you they'll accept this new version of you that sacrificed so much to go through this journey. On the other hand, you can remain in the Tower with the friends you've made. You could go back to any of the floors your companions plan to return to, and you can (presumably) freely explore the Tower. This of course does mean that the enemies you've made, including Levateinn and the Abyss, can go after you. On the other hand, with the strength you've gained and the support of Cherchiel and Dahlia I doubt there's anything in your world that could take you on. Of course, there's also potential for you to use your strength for good both here in the Tower or in your old world.

Again, I think both of these routes have merit, and the answer lies in where Yulia wishes to spend the rest of her life.

But what if you stay in the tower instead? Not only will you be able to ensure the safety of your friends, you can also help future chosen. You have seen the horrific fate that awaited many of them at the hand of Quincy and his ilk.

Leave your world to pure Yulia. You can save many more.

Looks like things ended fairly well for basically everyone (except Sally... bastard man ruined the best villain in the series qUINCY WILL PAY), glad to see the impact on the Tower.

Thanks for all the hard work on this over the years, Lehe! Very excited to see what comes next, but take as much time as you need to prep! Several years of twice-weekly releases will take a lot out of anyone!

Talwa, the scholar hero: looks like you got your life-long dream of helping the chosen fulfilled! Uh, that was your wish, right? At any rate, you weren't us useless as I initially thought. Make sure to serve Yulia faithfully and I'm sure she let you squeeze Dahlia every now and then.

Sally, guardian of Iralia: why the hell are you horny, you stupid machine? But I guess it's an improvement over extreme enslavement mode. Keep an eye on Maple. If she overworks herself, there's nothing wrong in putting her in stasis time out for a bit.

Maple,genius inventor: not going to free Del after all, eh? Your choice, and I don't really care. I definitely think you should satisfy Sally's cravings every now and then, though. We don't need another machine uprising because she got sexually frustarted.

Lemiel, the elusive angel: I still regret that Yulia did not get to enslave you. I think you would be happier now. If you ever get tired of that whole angel gig, I'm sure the group wouldn't mind another companion

Lri, the conciliator: You have your work cut out trying to get these idiots to play nice. Just remember that if when words don't get through, a quick and stealthy assasination is always a valid alternative

Isalia, the trap master: From all the racial tension that permeates the tower, the forrest is probably the easiest place to fix, so good for you. Enjoy your honeymoon!

Martin, the stalwart smith: Thanks for your contributions. We couldn't have done it without your smithing. Whatever you are up to now, I am sure you will do fine.

Goma, the puppet master: Izzy will be a handful! Especially as the only male goblin. But fortunately you can always use Puppet to make sure he acts like a good boy or ensure the continuation of the Goblin lineage. Uh...that came out wrong!

Muma, the eternal guide: Your life had meaning. It was only thanks to your sacrifice that Yulia could conquer the tower. You will never be forgotten.

Cherchiel, the Chosen's shield: Nobody is closer to Yulia then you. You guarded her through eight floors and your duty is not over yet. Now is the time to make her happy.

Yulia, the Chosen: I always believed in you! Well, no I didn't. All these years ago you weren't my first choice, nor my second. But you rose to the occasion and proved me wrong dozens of time. From now on, you will no longer hear us voices but you also don't need to. You have many companions(ok, you have Cherchiel and maybe Talwa) who can fill that role just fine. Congratulations on finishing this massive project, engin. It was pretty intense and more often then not I was looking forward to Monday/Thursday with dreadful anticipation. During your run, I completed two stories of my own, one of which was inspired by it and started many more (Clumsy Ninja Kanami was actually started on the exact same day as Tower of Voices, how's that for a coincidence?) During these four years many things changed but Tower of voices always remained. Thank you for that.

May we meet again.

 

A 4 year story is an amazing achievement, and one well deserving of a rest to recover from. I will look forward to the next journey once you have recovered.

 

FUCK I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT MARTIN!

He became something of a master traveling blacksmith and visits Iralia learning how to work with the machinery from Maple. So, he's now a mechanist and Blacksmith and travels the Tower making masterwork tools and weapons. He has also gotten a permanent shop in the Depths that technically belongs to him and rivals the dwarf works, but he's rarely actually there.
