Is there also an actual suggestion about that? Within another suggestion thread, it gets kind of lost in the shuffle. That said, this suggestion was about a chat client. So... - public group room - private messages
End-to-end encryption, AFAIK it means the message goes to and through the server encrypted and only the clients can read the plain text.
Essentially, yes. Anonymity is enough of a concern for people here that we'd want as many protections as possible. I suggested Telegram because Cwtch is nowhere near ready for prime-time.
Make that 7 likes. TBH though, I haven't seen a lot of suggestion posts with more than 10 likes... how many does it take to get an idea seriously considered for implementation, regardless of the fact that it would be very beneficial?
Invisible Choices in Game Mode had 9 votes before it got implemented. I also started with the Send a New Message Link (7 votes) a while ago. A simple link sounded easy but I didn't manage to make it work after hours. Well, there might be different criteria. How many users would use it? How many users want it? How fast is it to implement? How useful is it? How will it affect the server load? Friedman wanted to look through all current suggestions as soon as the basis of the new version is ready. Well, not so many users are on the forum compared to the number of active users on the site.
One thing I’d love to piggyback on the idea of a site chat would be the idea of also having a friends list as well
