Almost in immediate response to his hand coming near him, they jolt, sending a shock down her body that makes her jump. Apparently they're incredibly sensitive to touch, though exceedingly soft. With their bodies pressed closer, and his curiosity to feel through his fur, his fingers could feel the sudden space of empty air, until they ran far enough to reach and accidentally brush against it and feel the reactive twitch. From his angle, he could get a better look at it. It wasn't missing. The one where the gap was looked to be a stump. Not an attractive sight, but with a clean cut. Koyumi knowing what he was about to ask, had a look of both relaxed that he wasn't worried, and concern. "I'm alive....though I'm under the impression that the people responsible for calling me out here are convinced that I still have all of them..." She looked pretty hesitant to go into detail. Explaining your weaknesses to people was never a good decision, but she felt that he could be trusted. At least she hoped. "Losing just one is like losing a limb. My magic is crippled without it. Younger foxes may still be growing their third or fourth, but it's not as simple as say...losing the ninth makes you only as strong as one an eight. It would be much like someone cutting off three of your fingers and expecting you to still use a sword well since you can still technically grip it. With enough time it would heal on it's own, but it took almost a century to grow it the first time. I need a healer capable of restoring that connection. That won't come cheap."
