Finding a partner, setting up things... I always takes so much time. This is one of the reasons why I prefer play-by-email / DM / whatever over chat roleplay. People just seem less likely to disappear there even if it still happens. Or chatRP that just goes straight to business.

That is a disappointing. As a revenge, get into the cosplay/set-up make a teasing pic and sent with text: We could have had fun, instead the fun was all mine~

The biggest issue with RP concepts is that you need to do it with other people. This takes time. This means you may have to compromise on your idea because the other players have different ideas/limits. And most importantly: Sometimes the RNG is not in your favour.

Update: My biggest issue with RP concepts is actually scheduling a game with players. (I am trying to run an RPG after giving up on the previous one because 3/5 players never had time for it. Now I have a new campaign where it looks like we are playing once a month because none of the people who eagerly wanted to play the campaign, have time for it.)

A bad ending, however, is often caused by taking the 'easy way out' by ignoring vital points or submitting to the 'villan' whether metaphorically by simply not respawing, or literally submitting to the bad guy, usually literal in the case of erorica ;)

Then there's hidden joke endings. Those are fun.

My (similar?) problem is that I perennially underestimate how many words my story ideas will end up being, but only *after* I started working on them: "uh-oh, this was supposed to be a quick 25,000 words story, but now I'm at 50,000 and I'm barely even halfway done..."

My inspiration comes in tiny pieces. "I want a scene where X happens" and then I have to figure out the details like "how did we get there?" and "who are these people?"

Sometimes, yeah. However, I try not to get too carried away by them, as I know I'm not very consistent in writing (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠)

If you have an idea as a GM, you can post it in RP advert section to check interest. As a player, you can ask if you can join one of the ongoing RPs.
For private RPs, it's a little trickier, but posting in profile works!

We have a few prompt threads. Mainly for stories. But perhaps start another one for RP scenarios? RPG advertisement room could use such a sticky thread, even if advertisements for people who want to try out those scenarios would be separate threads.
