The demoness can spot a couple people along the walls, cloaks over their armour, readying their bows, take a moment to glance at each other, before one walks off. The other stays with keeping an arrow ready and watching from above without saying anything.

The response to the apparent struggling slave girl was that she could see was when another faceless soldier approached the gate from behind the bars, not yet opening it. “Your name. Master’s name. Business?”

Very few words spoken to the point.

"P-Please, help!" She cries out, still acting panicked. "I-uh... Master didn't let slaves like me have names... My master is..." She names a rebel demon who would be plausible operating in this area. "He needs help, please! He was attacked by Dmitri's forces on the road... Sent me to find help..."

With a proper plan in place though tome consuming, there wasn’t much left to do but give it time. Jia had been mostly unconscious, but her condition steadily improving as well as could be expected.

There was still a fair amount of work to be done, preparing medical supplies and the like for troops, but that was all fairly easy in comparison, if not tedious.

The day progressed smoothly overall, until he heard a small rap on the door. Barely any force to it.

“Master Capris. I heard you just came back the other day.” A male’s voice spoke quietly and calmly, but still clearly enough to be heard as Capris could hear the sound of the apocahtery lock being opened. There was only a handful of people who had the key and he was already aware of who it was before the boy had even opened the door to face him properly.

A young man with dark hair and a expression that didn’t look anymore happier than usual.

“She heard you’re back too. Blink twice, if you want her poisoned.” He spoke in such a darkly casual manner, that even a lot of demons had difficulty believing this attitude could be from an actual human. Elric had proven to be a good apprentice, all things considered.

About to open his mouth to speak, he was cut off fast by another voice echoing down the hall.

“Caaaappprriiis- Don’t you hide from me~” That voice….

Before he could blink, with lightning speed, she was already directly in front of him, an exaggerated pouting expression on her face, as she kept her arms outstretched.

“There you are, my love. Come into my bosom. Snuggle time~“

Safiya.

“…I was just kidding, though.” Elric’s facial expression doesn’t change, but it doesn’t hide his annoyance to her presence.

“Oh, what we’re you talking about. Keeping secrets? How dirty. Capris, darling, you can share anything with me~” Her teasing tone made Elric fidget, uncomfortable by just being in the same room.

“…so, you were going to tell him that you failed succubus gradution, again? What is that? Seven times, already?”

“S-shut up! I only failed because my instructor is a stupid old geezer who doesn’t know anything!” Flashing a scowl for a moment, she paused to take a deep breath, before forcing a smile.

“So-uhhh….Capris, sweetie. Know how I said, I’d be out on my own after I passed training? Looks like I’ll need to wait another year before I can test again. You don’t mind, right?”

“Freeloader.”

“Hey! I don’t need to take that from you! Have you ever helped with the cleaning once in your life? You’re just a brat mooching off of honey-bun. You’re the deadweight of the family, darling.” Placing a hand under her chin for emphasis, she coaxed her head and giggled, knowing it would get the intended reaction out of Elric.

“Bitch-

Capris could only sigh in frustration at his two proteges, 'Elric... Safiya. Yes, I am back and you two are still bickering.'

Capris looked at Safiya, 'Failed again? One might think you are doing it on purpose to stay here. You are aware how that reflects upon me? What did you do wrong?'

'And you,' the demon looked to his human apprentice, 'I have a task for you. Jia was badly wounded in the tomb. It might be a good challenge for your skills to reshape her to full strength.'

Levandi froze in her tracks, a chill running down her spine as she slowly turned her head to observe Enyo standing behind her. Then, like someone confronting a spookable wild animal (or showing the appropriate cautious deference to a demon WAY more powerful than themselves) she started to turn around to face her. "Oh, not much," she managed to say in as calm a voice as possible, 'Working on a couple of projects. You know, the usual."

Thinkthinkthinkthinkthink her brain screamed as she tried to figure a way out of this... and then a light bulb went off in her head. A truth that she could use to maybe get out of this.



"Yeah, looks like they got away for now," Levandi agreed, "but I found these weird boots that looked WAY out of place with all the fancy stuff. Maybe some thief thought you could do that thing where you swap one item for another without tripping a trap? They've got SOME kinda spell on it so I was gonna take them to an appraiser to see what's up. Probably could track down where it came from pretty casually after that."

It was all true. Her compatriots HAD escaped, there was no telling if these boots were actual treasure or some earlier tomb raider's attempt at magical trickery with unclear results, and if the appraiser was able to identify the enchantment tracking down its source would be quite possible.

At Enyo's second question she sighed and lightly kicked a couple of gold coins on the ground. "Nah, not really a fight," she said, "We've just gotten really busy with our own things lately so we haven't been able to make time."

A thoughtful look crossed her face as she added, "Though I guess I'm free now."

"Mmmm...." Seeing the boots that Levandi had showed, Enyo looked at them as she made still sounding half asleep noises, while looking them over.

"They don't look comfortable at all. I don't even think they'd make a good present. "These aren't cute at all." That's what mom would say. "I'll accept these, but when I would wear them?" Dimmy would say that. "You thought too bring a gift to a demon lord, and you settled on JUST a pair of boots? Don't insult me." Raven wouldn't like them either.....but they at least have...what's it called? You know, it's all like "Fwoosh." But I'd want ones that are more like "Sche-sheeew" You know?"

With a incredibly dismissive tone about it, as if she just expected Levandi would already know what she's t thinking. Her face straightened more seriously, at hearing about Levandi talking less with her cousin, looking way more focused on that.

"That's not good....you don't have a...so you can't spend time anymore. Mmmm..Levi-tan could beat Balam up...he's always picking on little Levi-tan...but then...wait...we're trying to stop that....but..."

Talking more to herself, Enyo's face strained, obviously not wide awake enough to actually think things through carefully. As the green haired demon remained silent trying to think of some sort of solution, Levi could spot a blackish tendril like figure trailing behind Enyo, slithering up quickly as the black lines wrapped, and twisted around her shoulder, but Enyo not even paying attention to the process as they began to harden into an armor like claw, a twisted mess of looking almost like onyx black plated armor but eeriely biological and unnatural. Directly at her shoulder, the giant yellow eye began to open.

"Enyo! That's one of them! Take her down!" Eligor's eye locked onto Levandi, as the claw like weapon began to protrude more spikes and brace itself, become even sharper....but with her other arm, Enyo simply just patted it along the top shoulder area, unconcerned.

"El-el. Levi-tan is a friend. She wouldn't hurt us." Enyo remained sounding barely alert and completely dismissive, and while the claw like monster's eye gazed at Levandi intently, it began to recced, exposing the skin on her arm again as it seemed to shrink, but not disappear completely, until Enyo's face stiffened to looking hard and forceful for a moment. "Go nap."

In response to her command to dismiss it, it started to separate again, sliding off and slithering on the ground like a snake, the eye taking one last appraising look at Levandi, before slithering off somewhere, Enyo merely given a casual yawn. "Aww. I guess he's just grumpy for being here too long. I don't like it here. Too cold to sleep. But the desert on the surface is too hot....it's a problem."

In other circumstances, Levandi would have found Enyo's rapid fire, sleepy silliness amusing (and even now a small part of her did) but her focus was keeping Enyo relaxed for now. Of course, even that small bit of amusement faded away when Eligor showed up as the blood in her veins seemed to become solid ice. However, it quickly thawed once Enyo sent the shadow monster away and the small rush of adrenaline hitting her as she realized she just might make it out of this was... exhilarating.

"Well, you leave Dimmy to me and not worry about it," she says with a small smile, "And yeah, this isn't the best place to have a lay down. How about we go find you a good napping spot and I'll help you settle down. Lullaby, massage... whatever you want."

"Slave. Come." He really didn't bother with more words than he needed, but stared at Raven, expecting her to follow.

Sounding confident, he began to move down to the treatment area, grabbing various bottles that he'd need, and as far as Capris could tell, all the ones he was taking were the right ones that he'd need for the job, and as he started to walk away, that left the succubus, who had continued her pouting.

"The stupid old geezer said, I don't understand how to be sexy." Her more typical tone was coming up, dropping any attempt to sound flirty as she clenched her teeth tighter, and moved to cup her beasts, jiggling them slightly, as she gestured to them. "Look at this body. I'm not sexy? The only reason he failed me is because he's gay or something."

The guard who had escorted her was rough with pushing her by the back forward to enter, as he followed behind, the door shutting, where she was left standing before him. Even before she saw his face, his size made him unmistakable.

The moment he turned around and starting stepping towards with Raven, the size difference between him and her without the power of her war form became a lot more apparent as he looked downward at the woman who barely reached his chest. "If I am to understand the situation, you have news for me."

Enyo was pretty light, from what she remembered and being willing to indulge her laziness as much as possible seemed like a good way to stay on her good side and not... well... torn apart. To that end, she turned around and knelt down, offering her back to the smaller demon.

"Here," she said, "I'll even give you a ride so you don't have to walk. Just hold on tight because I also need to carry these boots I want to have looked at, okay?"

Enyo was fast, when she wanted to be. The smaller demon lifted up on her tippy toes, snaking her arms around Leviandi's neck, coming in close as she began to cling.. As Enyo went to complete the lock around Levandi's neck, a sudden bright flash below Levandi's cleavage emerged, remembering she still had that medallion. The response was, Enyo just...kind of fell right off, landing hard on her butt. She didn't look anymore stressed or bothered by it than usual.

"Levi-tan feels different. Kind of like "Bleh!" you know?" That was Enyo speak for that she obviously understood something was wrong. It did mean that apparently whatever that necklace does exactly, it's something of a shared weakness between her and Eligor.

Raven gulps performatively, looking fearful as she looks up at the huge demon. "I-I.. M-M-My master... He was attacked on the r-road..." She swallows, trying to hide her irritation at maintaining this pathetic facade. "He sent me to get help." She gives him the details Charon mentioned.

His words were quiet, not really matching the appearance of the giant demon they came out of. He looked over Raven for a moment, appraising her, he seemed to be lost in thought. He was obviously weighing what his options were, though his muttering didn't really hint at what it was, as his expression started to solidify more as he waved one of his men over. "Ready the men." Giving his command, the one masked soldier began to run off to relay the order.

The giant demon began to motion to another one of his men. "Make sure she has food and water." While the expression of the soldier was hard to catch from the mask, his furrowing of his eyebrows made it obvious he was looking a little annoyed, but didn't argue as he began to step out, leaving Raven alone in the office with her target. Of course, still fully armored and that axe right beside him, making it iffy if this was the prime opportunity to act.

His expression hadn't changed from the casual disinterest of things. "I suppose until then, we should be making sure you're alive, until you can be reclaimed." Right on cue, the door opened again as a masked soldier came in with a block of dry rations, along with a glass of water. Far from the kind of luxury meals at the palace, but definitely more than a slave would typically expect. Oz began to approach, stepping closer to her, as he stared her down more. "It's alright. This is not a trick. You aren't good to anyone if you're half starved to death."

'Mimicking the best can get you only so far,' Capris chuckled, 'You have to watch carefully and find what works for you.'

'Like what?' Capris looked at Safiya sceptically, 'I am a demon of lust just as you are, we should all know a trifle of seduction.'

'Perhaps I should find a teacher for you,' Capris mused.

"Mmm. Well....if you're so confident, maybe you should be the one to do it?" Safiyia leaned back, arms folded as she idly gave her suggestion. Her tone seemed to try to play it off as an off handed comment, but Capris could tell by her facial expression that this is probably what she was digging at from the beginning though she wouldn't say it outright.

"How about this?" she asked, stepping in such a way that Enyo fell into her shadow (and also seeing if the medallion's magic needed physical contact to activate or if it would go off if she just got close enough), "I may not be able to carry you for now but I can take the sunlight for you, so you can stay in the shade while we walk."

She also looked around the treasure trove one last time. "Or if they have a cart here, I could just pull you along..."

As far as she could gather, while close, but not directly touching, the sloth demon, Enyo didn't show any signs of discomfort away from it. It seemed like, it only really got a reaction out of her if she was close enough to directly touch it. She still didn't look actually hurt, even sort of. It apparently repelled her, but didn't seem to do any actual damage to her, at worst...her face just looking mildly annoyed, at best.

"Mmmm. I like Levi-tan's old smell more." Enyo's thought process wasn't exactly all that helpful either to analyze anything. Looking over her shoulder for a moment, Enyo stared at the direction Eligor had scurried off too, but didn't look bothered or concerned enough to do much, focusing on making her way out. "He'll find his way back soon. Always does."

Enyo slowly followed Levandi out, eyes cast upward as she was lost in her own thoughts while they went up the stairs. "Levi-tan can just make things dark whenever. Amazing." Enyo's voice while still sounding as half aware as usual, did still make her approval to Levandi's dark based powers clear, though probably not for the same reasons as most.

As the finally came out to the surface, the sun was just setting on the horizon, but the glare was still pretty harsh from the sudden change of the dark corridors to the surface level. But finally making their way out, Levandi could see the sudden eruption of sands burst from underneath, blinding and unclear, as bulges emerged from underneath the dirt and began to rumble around before coming to a halt, and the creature came to a stop, only a few feet in front of her. Sand worms. The fastest way to get across the desert fast.

Just smart enough to be trainable, it remained halted and unlike the wild ones, downright docile, waiting for Levandi to mount it or not. In the distance, she could make out the plethora of other shapes underneath the sand dunes, all from the worms of other riders, now no longer in use. She could see the Zariah's and Yegen's horses were already gone, meaning they likely already left. But what she could spot was something that wasn't there when they first arrived. A wide dark carter that left a hole through the sands, the impact mark looking no bigger than a person and from the looks of the impression marks, almost as if they fell on their face before getting up. She couldn't have....

"Mmm....this place is way too big. I'm going to get lost, you know? But...uh..." Enyo stared out at the expanse of the desert, looking more than a little confused already, trying to determine which direction she wanted to go, but she stopped herself first as she reached into the pockets of her cloak, pulling a scrap piece of paper and a marker. "It's good, I forgot to clean my pockets. So anyway...this..." Sticking her tongue out, she began to really concentrate, taking her time along with strokes of her marker, before taking out a light orange one focusing on the page with intent. "Little Levi-tan really likes those boots, so she may as well know how to use them. So you just...and then...whirl, and..then, Fwoosh!"

Concluding her vocal explanation, she handed the already torn up and crumpled paper to Levi-tan as she began to walk away. "Come for dinner again, soon, Levi-tan. I'll make sure I won't sleep through the next ball then. Good luccck....move out soldier!" Still not...all there, she did a mock salute as the green haired demon stood for a bit, before she approached one of the unused worms, mounting herself ontop of it, clinging it almost like a koala before collapsing right on top of it only bothering to give a very light kick and pointing southeast, with a sand storm starting to kick up as the worm took off with a rider now on top of it....though....the royal castle was in the west. And the nearest village was just north of here. If she was heading in that direction...then....

Whatever the case, it left Levandi along again, this time with her only company being the mounts waiting to move, the gold she had and the boots...but now....with Enyo's instructions on them now in her hands.
