Yes, now I remember the line about the goalie stance, when they're bolting past everyone else back up to the cabin. I kinda do like this more, actually, that Chloe's really into the game and very aggressive as a player. It gives her something to focus on and feel more like herself, not having to worry about other stuff. A good workout is the perfect form of stress relief, because it's one of the few things in life where you get as much result out of it as the effort you put into it.

Repression is a deliberate act psychologically, even though it can be done unconsciously, but you're right, the more I think about it, the more I feel that it's the wrong term. In the end, I feel that simple anxiety, nothing mentally ingrained, over certain situations that she fear may go sideways is the mould she sprang from. Without her friends like Zack, Gavin, and Meagan, she may slipped into that abyss in her formative years.

Thing is, I can see plenty of other problems that could've arisen in either Zack or Gavin too -- Zack may have been a giant bag of hormonal instincts or Gavin a hermit if it weren't for each other. This is the only thing about herself she feels that she can't share with Zack and Gavin, seeing as they don't really want to hear her talking about boys. That's where a close female friend falls into the picture (Meagan or some other teammate, I like this idea of that girl being someone outside of the 'inner circle'), someone who she can confide into.

Thing is, I can see plenty of other problems that could've arisen in either Zack or Gavin too -- Zack may have been a giant bag of hormonal instincts or Gavin a hermit if it weren't for each other. Fun fact, I was thinking about their friendship a few days ago as well. Specifically, how much the story would change if Zack didn't give that tutoring session to Brandon. For starters, instead of a gang of seven, it'd have been two separate groups. Zack would probably be still dating Lisa, seeing as he'd never have made friends with Victoria, and they (Zack, Chloe, Gavin and Lisa) would have been a tighter, introspective group without the influence of football player Brandon and cheerleaders Heather and Ashley. Another fact, Victoria could easily have been on their group if she hadn't had Ashley as a best friend, since she's smart like Zack, Gavin and Chloe.

Before I get lost in the weeds, I want to say from a dramatic standpoint, I really like little Victoria leading the kids who teased Chloe for growing breasts early. Not only is Chloe's best friend falling for a girl who's "wrong" for him, but it's also kind of a betrayal. I think you did good here! I agree that if you spend all night anticipating sex with Heather, the actual sex won't be drawn out. Scenes like that work for Zack and Gavin, I think, because they have more fantasies than experience, even though Zack's had sex before.
