Ah, right right, I see. So she's fully aware of it, but then her battered partner's syndrome creeps in. In that sense, it may be her subconscious that's calling the shots against Shawn, as consciously she's become uncertain of herself again. Their initial meeting must've been one of Shawn's finest psychological contortions, and maybe it worked wonderfully because, well, it was partially true: Maybe Kendra is the only person Shawn could've cared about because he understands her to a degree, and losing her, meaning for him losing control over her, is almost losing a close confidant. And Shawn is childish. Meanwhile, Kendra, while subconsciously understanding the Shawn is bad news over all, consciously senses that understanding, and maybe there are very few, fleeting times when they connect. And maybe she justifies that to herself over how she was bullied before. "They never understood me, at least Shawn can." Kendra needs to experience more of the world outside of the length of Shawn's arms, and she needs to consciously act against him. It may not be a pretty sight (my money is that it certainly won't -- henrytemp makes that clear), but her subsumed resent needs to bust free. I just hope that Kurt or Dustin (my favorite choices) are up to the task. Reminds me a bit of the North Shore in Massachusetts, like the relatively quiet Manchester-by-the-sea out in the woods with lakes and rivers, next to the big and popular Crane Beach. I didn't picture Azure Rocks being in New England (I really didn't have a place in mind), but it makes sense. Somehow, I picture Heather in a string bikini teasing some guy by posing sexily and making random noises while focusing her attention on a book she's reading. And that she manages to do both flawlessly while he becomes hopelessly flustered.
Probably for the best. For a bit of compromise, I'm thinking he may have had some sort of crush on her when he started thinking about girls, but pushed it aside or got an even stronger crush on Hannah. Patzo's newest orgy thread has got me thinking a couple of things: First: we know Gavin had a crush on Taylor and Zack on Hannah, but we are missing one person in each trio: Chloe and Peter! It doesn't make sense that Taylor has a close male friend and Zack has a close female friend and Chloe never got a crush on Peter like Zack and Gavin did with Hannah and Taylor. Second: have we ever had any body comparisons outside of breast comparisons between the girls? All of us may have different thoughts on how tall each character is. I've always figured Gavin was middle ground compared to the other guys, but according to Patzo's thread he's one of the tallest when he stands up fully.
I think you nailed it. When you're bullied, you feel like you're alone, like you have no one to talk to or share what you're thinking and feeling. Kendra stays with Shawn because no matter how crappy he is, he trusts her with his schemes and secrets and every little thought on his mind, and that's what a "good" boyfriend does: he trusts his girlfriend more than anyone else in the world, and she can trust him more than anyone else. He must care about her, or he wouldn't tell her any of these things. For Shawn's part, he probably doesn't realize how hard Kendra tries to rationalize his bullshit into something palatable. He just assumes she'll accept anything he tells her. For instance, when Shawn tells her to kiss Zack so he can start seducing Vicky, Kendra is hurt, and she recognizes it's going to hurt other people too. But at the same time, she can justify it because he's not gloating about it to her or going behind her back: he needs her help to do this. She may not be his girlfriend, but she is his partner. They're a team. And no one-off conquest ever gets to see what she sees. Yeah, she's probably gonna lash out with a vengeance once it finally goes too far. I think Kurt is a better fit because after being with someone so serious and protective of his pride, it'll be good for her to get with someone who can at least crack a joke now and then. Dustin kind of has the brooding romantic thing going on, which is fine, but maybe not what you want in a rebound. Oh God, New England beaches. They're either cold or they're freezing. Some parts of Crystal Lake Park remind me of places I've gone hiking in New Hampshire, but it doesn't shout out uniquely New England. "Better untie my top, don't want to get any tanlines. Bottoms too. And I think it's time to reapply some lotion, I'll just use the book to cover up..." That's not implausible. Yarkoz wrote a couple of erotophilia threads between Chloe and Peter, though it's framed as a heat of the moment hookup rather than the fulfillment of a crush. (But then, outside the Original Timeline, I imagine Chloe having some feelings for Zack.) Duskford gave some height rankings way back when, and Zingiber has a quick list of everyone's notable features in the post above that. I don't know if that's meant to be written in stone, but I've (clearly) been keeping it in mind. Since Taylor as the tallest girl and Gavin is right before her, my thinking in my last thread was that they're roughly even, so she might be looking down on him depending on how high her heels are.
Yarkoz nailed it, as Patzo said. When Kendra and Shawn connected after all the bullying problems, the natural thing to happen would be for a bond to form and for them to start dating. They began dating, but seeing as Shawn idolized his father and his ways, he thought it was natural for him to treat Kendra the same way his mother always has been treated by his dear dad. That created the relationship as we're seeing it today, he sees her as a trusted ally that he gets to boss around and she's submissive to him, but she's beginning to question it. One thing I'll try to do on my main thread is to have Kurt trying to attack that submissiveness and revert it, but as time's short for him, he'll try and use a desperate plot. The sequel will be set in Azure Rocks, but some time ago I was thinking about adding more threads of the 'alternate beginning' kind, having the characters spending their Spring Break at other places, such as a beach, a mysterious hotel or even a haunted house like it was discussed a few pages back. About Chloe and Peter, I've never thought about it, it was a good surprise when Yarkoz paired them off on his thread. A plot I wanted to use for Chloe but never had the chance to because the story led me on to other paths, was that she always felt something for Zack, but she couldn't understand it and chalked it off to their deep, close friendship. I planned for her to start understanding it during their trip to the cabin and for Zack, after pining for Victoria for some time and have his heart broken, to realize the girl he wanted was right by his side the entire time. Updating the height ranking: Kurt, Brandon, Gavin, Peter, Taylor, Shawn, Zack, Kendra, Dustin, Hannah, Victoria, Heather, Lisa, Chloe, Ashley and Madison.
I put up a couple of end game threads in my alternate alternate orgy story line. If you were a fan of the Choose Your Own Adventure books, you'll like them. If you're overly fond of Zack, probably not.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: There is a Silver Lake near the town of Castle Rock, in Washington State. Seaquest State Park lies on its western shore. This Silver Lake is more of a marsh than a lake. There are resorts, campgrounds and yes, cabins along its shore. The area is gorgeous and has stunning views of of a very peculiar tourist attraction: Mount Saint Helens. Hmm...
What a funny coincidence, I've just picked the names at random, never had any real-life place in mind when creating Silver Lake Park and Azure Rocks.
The twins, Brandon and Madison, holding down (almost) tallest and shortest. (I had Brandon calling Madison "Little Bit" according to Ashley in the thread where Ashley's away visiting her big sister and the cheerleaders do lifts with Madison on top instead of Ashley).
I haven't written for this story, but I'm enjoying reading it. I wouldn't mind seeing Torg finish up the Ashley/Brandon/Chloe/Gavin swapfest. Also, I wouldn't mind seeing some more of Kurt getting to score. I don't normally cheer for the assholes, but for some reason, I like Kurt. His successes have been interesting reads.

lol your work is very good. I wouldn't mind seeing someone else try to work off of it, but your work is so good, that I think I would rather you do it and not take the chance of it going on some wild tangent. Trust me, its happened on my stories before too lol.
The beauty of CHYOA is that a bad follow-up doesn't stop you from going a different direction in a different thread.
True enough. I've approved things before so that the writer could continue to pursue his own ideas there and resumed my ideas with a different thread
Torg's swapfest really is one of the highlights on the Story Map! And Kurt has been getting a few threads where he scores with some of the girls, such as one that henrytemp wrote, where he fucks Vicky and gets caught by Zack and Heather.
Kurt's one of my favorite characters because he's the one guy at the cabin who just wants to get laid. Brandon's taken, Zack and Gavin are pursuing or pining for crushes, Kurt's got nothing better to do than seduce people. And because he doesn't really know anybody and has nothing to lose, he lends himself both to being dominant, aggressive, but also to lighthearted joking and flirting. (At least, those two modes of behavior are something I try to get at.) Henrytemp's also teased Chloe hooking up with Kurt, and I enjoyed the alternate threads from their photoshoot in the woods that led up to Torg's foursome. Somebody needs to get on a really good Chloe/Kurt scene.
There's also that fantastic scene you wrote between Kurt and Ashley with the later addition of Victoria, Patzo.
You know what, I think I just found an porn star who looks almost like what I envision Chloe to look like.
