That's it, all the writing is done. 15 chapters left to post, so that's like 3 chapters a day for 5 days or 5 chapters a day for 3 days. Anyone have a preference?

That's it, that's the story. For now.

As with a lot of terrible ideas, the original plan shifted a bit during execution. I'm not unhappy with how it turned out, but I think there's definitely room for expansion and improvement. I had a bunch of ideas that I didn't pursue for various reasons (what if Sam's mother/bully/boss answered? What if their sex date was sick with common cold/lice/HIV? What if two people showed up? What if it was a virgin?) - but the nice thing about the format is that it's easily expandable. I didn't do any Man Seeking Man, Transwoman Seeking Man, etc. but you could easily add that in there.

One thing I tried not to do was revisit the same issues. So, for example, the Fat Partner option appears in only one branch. I could easily write a fat lesbian branch, or a woman with a fat man, but I felt like that would be excessive. But room for future expansion.

I also debated how to make it go deeper - Second Date, maybe - but I don't know if there's much to add there.

Anyway, 27 storylines in 40 short chapters. All done.

 

I knew a fellow once who had a foreskin that was too tight such that his masturbation had to be done with great care. Anyway on his first actual sex encounter the thing ripped during proceedings effectively circumsizing him.

A while back on the Bad Halloween Story Ideas thread I'd mentioned Monstr - a monster dating app - and I have half an itch to maybe play with that story. Debating whether it would work better as new chapters on Bad Sex or a separate story with a similar short premise.

Thinking I might expand this story - by adding either more options or a "Second Date" scenario. Maybe this summer.

 

I'm thinking that around October I should either do a similar follow-up to Bad Sex or a new story with the same basic framework called Good Sex.

Granted, my other 2023 New CHYOA project is still on hold because Life Happened (TM), so this might just be shooting for the moon.

 

Instead of continuing Bad Sex, I'm wondering if for September 2023 I might do a counterpart to this called Good Sex, where people make an emotionally fulfilling connection and boink pleasantly in different ways.

 

That sounds far more interesting to me than Bad Sex.

 

I have an outline ready for Good Sex. Not sure I'm going to bother with a separate development thread. Similar concept, but a different approach.
