Interesting.
One, it likely meant for a c-list hero, he's actually met them before if he has opinions on them. Two, that meant the perfect man might not be so clean after all....but there wasn't solid enough proof of that. He could just be accepting the idea brought up. Either bad blood between the two or he knew something Infinity didn't like. All good to know. But if she pressed it, she probably wouldn't get much out of him. Instead, she decided to brush off his surprise about Celesta.
"Oh, am I actually a step ahead of you then? For someone as paranoid as yourself, it's interesting she's the one you'll defend." Malady didn't particularly care about her, but making her the focus point would distract from everyone else trying to fluster him into defending her. Eyeing him as she turned over from her side to lay flat on her stomach, letting her chin rest in the palm of her hands, she kept dismissive about it, treating it as a game. "She's cute, right? How do you know each other? I'm going to get jealous. Actually....how DO I know her? Where have we met before....what could we possibly talk about? Just staying up all night, doing each other's hair, talking about boys...." She started to cast her gaze upwards to the ceiling, no longer paying attention, then snapping back to eye level.
"Well, we don't need to worry about that now. Just give the data on the ones that I'm worried about." Play it off, like Celesta was no threat to her for one reason or another. It would drive his paranoia further, but she wouldn't satisfy it. The vagueness would help play into it and have him jump to conclusions. If there was one thing she was really good at, it was knowing how to get under a hero's skin.
