The Tower of Voices Voting Thread

This is the penultimate challenge, and we can go back to drop off the ring after this but before the final challenge, right? IIRC correctly it's when we choose the final challenge that we can't turn back, regardless of the outcome.

Since we don't know what's coming, and have no way to plan for it, let's just make sure everyone is fully healed up, return borrowed equipment to whoever it belonged to originally, and then just get this show on the road.
 
Oh, I somehow wasn't expecting this to be it, but yeah I'm fine with advancing. I don't really have anything to add at this point.

I'm away for a few days so my next post will be a bit delayed. I will get it out by Wednesday though.
 
Okay, this is *the* final challenge. As much as I want to go back and kill Quincy, I don't think it's worth the risk. There's not much else to do on the final floor without going through the other domains. If we can just leave the ring with someone after the battle and have it delivered to Fiona, that means we can use it in the final battle. Seems worth it to keep it.

I don't see any reason to hesitate, but I'll vote to wait if someone else does.

That sounds good. we can go on, unless someone wants to go back and deal with Quincy and get Sally back before going on.
 
Hm, better double check everyone's equipment then. This implies we can't change it later.

Yulia: I feel like we want to give her the ring of sanctity, status effects can really screw her over, otherwise I think we're good

Sally: not much we can do here XD

Beck: lol, we might as well give her the carapace armor, since Cherchiel isn't using it

Otherwise, I feel we are good to go. I'm not to keen on dealing with Quincy.
 
I just got a brilliant idea! How about some morale boosting before the big fight? We have no clue what it's going to be or if everyone will live. No harm in a big ol finale orgy!

I bet Yulia won't mind having a bit of cherchiel before the big fight! Goma, Isalia and Talwa having a goblin-snake-elf fuckfest! Maybe Maple could borrow Sally for a bit, who knows if Yulia won't flub it and they won't meet ever again! I guess Beck can sit in the corner and masturbate.

Okay, I dug through the archives and found the original fight between Yulia and the head priest. He employed Energize on himself, Undermine on Yulia, and martial arts. Trying to finish this quickly without letting him get close seems like the name of the game.

I'm curious who will show up for this final challenge. There's a lot of enemies that Yulia fought once, lost to, and then beat in a rematch. But if we're talking about enemies who beat Yulia once and then were left alone, it'd be a pretty short list. I'm genuinely drawing a blank on enemies who beat us once and were left alone besides the head priest. But there's clearly more fights after this. If it's any enemy who beat Yulia once, some that come to mind are: the spiders on floor 4, Aqua on floor six, the mall robot on floor seven, and the Rack on the previous floor. Not to mention Alide, who beat our party once on this floor, we only escaped without casualties thanks to a deal with Dahlia. And I feel like there should be another one or two losses in there but I can't recall specifics.

Worse interpretation would be all enemies Yulia did not defeat, either by losing or not fighting them.

Whelp, we cross that bridge when we get to it. Head Priest at least should not prove any trouble for us.

The ring of sanctity should prevent his undermine but it probably also means energize will do nothing

Anyway, Yulia cast undermine and then just hit the priest with all your spells, that should do the trick.
 
I can't imagine the head priest will be an issue. With a reasonable strategy I don't think I'm going to be concerned until the last couple of floors worth of opponents. We will be able to take the best equipment at each stage at least. The only thing I want to look out for now is if they have their original environment, a neutral environment is generally better for us.
It occurs to me we didn't beat the abyss (whatever floor that was) so hopefully that doesn't count.
 
Things to watch out for with Ash: Blizzard, his archery, and he has mind control magic he tried to use on Cherchiel (Great Cure resolved it), and a second form.

Where Ash once stood a large, twisted creature stands. It has three heads, in the center Ash's face stares at them as to the left there is a head like that of a bull, each breath it takes releases a strange gas into the air, to the right is a goat head which lets out a deafening bleat that makes Yulia cover her ears. It's lower body is that of a dragon complete with a long serpentine tail and four limbs. Most notably however is a pair of large cocks emerging from it's pelvis, each one having a wide flare with painful looking spikes.

Are we allowed to grab the Cape of Turbulent Waves from Talwa? We briefly lent it to her for the arena and forgot to put it back on Yulia. Ring of Sanctity should prevent the magic, not sure about the arousal caused by the bull head's breath. Would it be worth casting Blizzard when he does, so we're both hit by the effect? Icicle is useless against him, but Dahlia proved that Fireball will be extra effective and we've also got our other offensive spells. Depending on if re-equipping is allowed, the Weight of Righteous Justice would be a huge boon.

Might be a good idea to check if equipment swapping is allowed before coming up with any plans.
 
I thought this might be next. We will probably need to fight everything we lost to even if we later beat it then. Anyone up for some chapter diving to work out what that is (I think it should be mindflayers next so colour stone should help).

Cloak and anti-demon axe should do for added equipment. Otherwise spam spells especially fireball. Arousal is a status effect so the ring should be effective.
