I vote in favor of surgery. I think Cherchiel and Maple should go through it, but Isalia can make the call on whether she wants to after we Identify the device. Also, I think we should Cure the lactation. It doesn't serve any immediate benefit to us. And don't forget, Sally is aware of our abilities by this point (besides maybe a few of Yulia's spells that haven't been used) and knew she was giving us an infinite mana glitch. Why? Because she probably has some plan to take advantage of it. Hell, she may have a robot that could capture Lemiel and use her milk as fuel. So we should fix this now rather than wait until it's too late.
Isala and fellow voices do have a point that the infinite mana glitch isn't helpful right now and even with Goma it wouldn't be fantastic (for this reason I don't think Sally necessarily has an ulterior motive as it would only be hard to avoid on Yulia), but Maple said earlier that the guns might run off of mana once we leave the floor. If it is a high cost per shot it would be nice if everyone can use them all the time without worry. Lemiel, if you really don't want it I'm not opposed to it being cured, but if you can put up with it I think it will really help Yulia. For getting the objects out, I think we should just let them choose what method they prefer themselves. We can identify it from whoever volunteers to be operated on by Yulia and Lemiel first. If we do go back to the hospital, let's keep Yulia outside this time.
Yulia sounds confident, so I'd say we let her do the surgery on the train. We are doing good on mana right now, but I underestimated how quickly things can change in the past too. I don't think there is too much of a risk that there is something else going on with the mana milk, since the penalty is already that Lemiel will be leaking mana from now. But why don't we give it a test? Isalia still sits at 0% mana, let's have her suckle at Lemiel and see if something strange happens.
If Cherchiel and Isalia don't want to risk the side effects Yulia really shoul do the surgery now. Then we can see what identify says on the devices. Also Isalia testing if we really can use milk for man a makes sense.
device doesn't seem to do much else than drain mana. Not removing right away it should not be too big risk, unless we are going to go near the mentioned transference devices,, which Maple hopefully can identify for us. Also, if Maple prefers the hospital we can go there.
Oh look, the milk was a trap, who could have guessed? Also, I don’t think we need to force Maple to undergo surgery. As was said above, it should only be an issue if we go near a transmission device. We could also strap Maple to either Cherchiel or Lemiel’s back when we head back out, so if she passes out we don’t have to worry about her getting dragged away by enemies.
The milk was 50% of a trap. At some point we should retest it on someone without the device, but that can wait. If the transmission divices are anywhere, near Sally is quite likely. Being down one person and that person being the one that knows the tech is not an option, so the device needs to come out. We could do surgery forcefully, but I'm not keen on that. We could use the hospital, I don't want to risk letting Sally get hold of her that way so if we do that I vote for maximum force and going in with everyone. Finally we could give her some milk, it's not out of the question that she doesn't have one because she was captured a while ago and this would prove it (or make it easy to do the surgery, but don't tell her that).
Ah, so no vibrator after all. Well, having Maple drink the milk here is the obvious solution. We could also give her a mana potion but that would be uneconomically Or as a more boring option, can't we use the item converter to turn one of our items in an anesthetic? We probably could give up one of our health potion for that, considering how little we need them
Newest Post: Since none of you seemed to notice, I decided to just point it out in the text Also just in case anyone notices the discrepancy later, I should note an error I made, when Maple was first found she had full mana, she should not have had full mana, but I forgot entirely that she should have had one of the devices until writing the later chapter where I noted that each of them had a device and realized as someone captured previously Maple should have one. I have not gone back and fixed her mana because I am too lazy, but she should have had 0 mana at all times like the other characters with a device inside them.
Hmmm. I noticed last time that the mana didn't come back after lactating, but I didn't realize it'd apply to healing too. I've been saying to Cure it this whole time, hopefully the other Voices will now agree with me. As for next step, I say we finish off the Directive. Two reasons: 1, they're probably still rebuilding their forces since our last attack on the prison, and 2. The Directive seems willing to kill us if necessary, unlike Sally, so I view them as the greater threat. We should be able to bounce back from anything Sally does to us, not so with the Directive.
We don't know where Goma is currently. So I'd like to explore the prison thoroughly, which means finishing of the Directive. Loss of healing for Lemiel is such an issue that I would like to cure the lactation status.
I did notice Maple's mana go to 0 unexpectedly, now I know why. Lactating is not the infinite mana cheat. So not very helpful, let's get rid of that. Lemiel should be happy at least. Not sure what to do for Maple, I feel like we should make it up to her somehow. I don't really know how though. I do stand by needing to get the device out. I think we should at least look at the directive again. Being able to move around freely would be nice and I am curious about life here pre Sally.
I'm more concerned by the fact that everyone's combat level is currently lowered to weak. I don't really like the idea of going into battle with a weakened group, so I'd like to spend a chapter resting I don't think it's very likely that the Directive will come after us, since that would give up her position at the prison but we can have Yulia and Lemiel on guard duty while the rest takes a nap Also fiiiiine, I guess we can cure Lemiel But we should milk her before we do that. We do have 3 two liter water jugs that we lug around since forever and clearly have no use for, so let's get rid of the water and fill them with Mana instead
I totally missed that reduction. Can we get rid of that just by resting? The directive doesn't have to give up their position to attack us, they send bots at us without moving the bit we need to attack.
I am not opposed to milking Lemiel before curing her. Also resting before going after the Directive seems sensible.
I'm voting against milking because we don't know how long it will be safely consumable if we just try to lug it around in a big jug.
Newest Post: Reminder that Dreg is an asshole Also I wanted to address Maple's response to what happened to her in the previous post, but also wanted to end it with Yulia's faked enthusiasm so fallout from Maple's drugging and unwilling surgery will be in the next chapter.
Happily that rest seems to have got everyone back to fighting condition. I am a little concerned about those fetsh levels now I have looked at them. I'm not sure it is worth worrying about though. Maple, I'm really sorry we forced you just then. I wish we had a good option but I (and the other voices) really felt this was the best of the bad options. Next up, paying the Directive a visit. Take it slowly and carefully, remember this is entirely optional so we absolutely can retreat and never do this if it is looking too dangerous.
From my understanding, fetishes aren't just a net negative. We get stuff like "faithless" from it, which I would say has far more upside then downside. So, I don't think we have to worry too much about them. Anyways, yep looks like we have taken care of everything now. Time to head back to prison and face the Directive
