Well, that was unexpected... For now keep the items, but do not do anything with them. Keep an eye out for traps as you go around the g(r)ate and take the key from the altar.

Oh, this is the Fiona room this time! Hi Fiona, hope you’re having a good time! Glad we made sure to grab this now.

For the benefit of Take and new Voices: In the first run, we unlocked a feature that allows us to pass a few items on to the next Chosen. I’ll post the effects below.

Slaver's whip. Use it on a defeated opponent to try and bind them to your will. Basically useless as a weapon and there is a chance of failure and only one use per opponent. the chance to fail is based somewhat on how intimidating the wielder of the whip is.

There is a potion of Ghastly Form that changes the imbiber into a monstrous form (Essentially just a racial change into a monstrous race) that would make the character more intimidating though intimidation is not generally a passive skill and is more just in how the character acts.

The spellbook is for Animate Golem, which creates a golem the caster can control. I will say, I think this is a Dmeonic Spellbook that comes with a curse, so let’s wait on using it for now.

The dress is a demonic dress loaded with boons and curses, but golems are immune to curses.

Honestly I think with the mask and her previous career, Take doesn’t need to use the potion, she can probably be intimidating enough. So let’s wait on using any of this stuff.

For now the plan should be: 1. Grab the key. 2. Practice Force Lance. 3. Have Nagi restore our mana and give us armor.

Thanks for the reminder of our items, Miss-Emmie.

That sounds pretty good plan for now.

    Happy New Year everyone!

(Also I miss Goma. Hope she's doing well with Isalia and Izzy.)

I think this is a good time to test out Force Lance, since that was our plan anyways. Fire at one, and see how the slime reacts. My theory is the Force Lance will sever the tentacle and the others will target the area around that one, so stay far away. Do this a couple more times (assuming it works), and then use that moment where it lashes out at what attacked it to rush through an opening. If they don't react, just use Force Lance to take out a couple in close proximity and slip through the opening.

I agree with all of the above.

    Happy New Year!

It's a busy week for me. So Miss-Emmie's plan looks good to me

Good job, Take! Now go get your mana refilled - you'll probably need it soon enough...

Okay, that worked well. Yeah, just go to Nagi, get some armor, and get your mana restored. Then it’s time to take on the boss.

Yes, that was a good plan.

Proposed course of action seems reasonable.

Nice! Well, not much left to do on this floor, so go check out the last room... Do keep an eye out for possible traps and be ready to dodge if whatever is inside the room attacks you in some manner.

Yeah, check the door for traps and then be ready to take on the boss.

While you check for the traps, don't forget the change of the ambush you brought up yourself earlier.

Unsurprisingly, our ninja was guaranteed to deal with this trap. Of course, not all of them will be this simple to deal with, but that’s one less thing to worry about.

Okay, strategy time. It’s got a shield and sword, so let’s take advantage of fighting from a distance. Throw down a couple caltrops to impede its movements, fire off a couple Force Lances, and then throw a couple kunai. Use the kusarigama to attack from outside its range, plus your superior agility. That should be sufficient.

Let’s save the grenade for a tougher opponent. Same with the smoke grenades, let’s save those for if we need to run from the wandering monsters we’ll encounter on future floors. Hopefully the items, spells, and tactics I mentioned above will be sufficient.

This should not be too hard opponent yet. So saving your weapons for later makes sense to me. Just remember to keep moving and keep your distance.

Okay, after thinking about it, here's my suggestion, Take:
First check its speed compared to yours. If it turns out you are faster, as I suspect you are, then try to get behind it and strike at its knees. If you can limit its mobility by damaging a knee, then the rest of the fight should be easy. Target the joins and any other weak spots you can think of. Just don't get overconfident! Remember that you are fighting a skeleton and it doesn't have the same weaknesses as a human. Try not to fight it head on, as that would give it the advantage.
