Jian hurried to his cousin's aid, rushing past her and cutting the vine holding her neck.

“Hmm, so I can make her wear clothes I provide for her. I assume it will be the same for weapons and other items. I'll try and confirm later.” Midori instructed the clone to take off the clothes and stand there, wanting to see how long the clone would last if not doing anything. Then she sat down and looked at her sister. “Alright, let me tell you how the conversation went. Please keep it to yourself, even though there isn't anything worth hiding.” She proceeded to tell Yuki about her conversation with Tiyaka.

He slices the vine, freeing her, but not before one of the insects latches onto her neck. Its bloated body shrivels as it pumps its glowing liquid inside her, before falling off and dying. Chitsukiko looks up at Jian, pupils beginning to dialate. "M-My love..."

Yuki listens intently. "Hey, if you need any help with that, maybe the help of a swordswoman, I'm there for you. My lady should release me for a day or two if I tell her that you're in need."

'Shit, she did not say anything about insects doing that,' Jian cursed. He grabbed Chitsukiko's shoulder, 'You need to fight it, Chitsu.'

“Thanks, sis, but that's not necessary. At least not yet. For now I just want to learn more about the shipyard and this Oichi woman, and then about the attack on the warehouse. After that I will decide what to do.” Midori reassured her sister.

Jian cursed he quickly tried to cut down the vines and then gathered his Qi in his fingers. He pinched Chitsukiko at the base of her neck to knock her out. Throwing her over his shoulder, he hurried up the ladder.

But I'd still like to enjoy my bath in peace. Making plans to take down the yakuza is a lot more taxing than I thought." She replied just as they're about to leave. "Yeah, yeah. Take care." She's allowed out, though many are surprised that one of the best candidates would leave after the most difficult tests were completed. As she returns to Castle Yokuboo, the blonde is told that Shintaro is currently outside the complex, in the city. Her head slumps back, and her eyes close. She gives a breathy sigh, and he realises that she's unconscious. Jian manages to carry Chitsukiko back up, vines snapping at his heels. Finally, they reach the top of the ladder.

Finally, she receives no more interruptions, able to bathe in peace. She sees the shadows of the guards outside her door, watching for intruders or ne'er-do-wells, but they come across no threats.

She cooed as she puts on her bodysuit and breastplate. "Hmm. Right, I still haven't advertised this bad boy." She said as she unholsters her new gun. "Wonder if I'll get a chance with those nanbans." She said with a grin as she returns the gun to its holster. Kyouka then heads to the prison where Shintaro said the foreigners would be.

The prison is an imposing fortress of iron and stone, situated on a hill above the city, overlooking the sea. Getting closer, she sees that it's in disrepair, large sections of the wall have collapsed, and the gate is missing entirely. There's movement from the worn guard towers, as lookouts call out to those on the inside, warning of Kyouka's impending arrival.

“Well, if I am not mistaken there was a Mitsurugi woman on the ship that brought us to the capital for the Kushan. She might be a relative of this Oichi person, so I will start by talking to her. Having some idea what kind of person I am dealing with will be helpful. I will also need to find someone who can tell me more about the attack on the warehouse, but one thing at a time.”

"Well, well. I wonder what happened here?" Kyouka said to herself as she approached the ruined building. But as she noticed movements by the guard tower, she decides to call out in the nanban language. "I come in peace!" She then walks through the ruined gate, eager to see how they'll react.
