Yes, I feel like trusting Yulia here.

At least she was not hinting at being the next Chosen Slayer. So that is good.

Good. Explorevthe floor and defeat the minotaur first.

Hold on, that’s the key to the next floor. Let’s grab it now. And fortunately we can avoid the trap, we can just have Take throw a kunai to sever the string. If the key remains floating, it should follow the same principles as last time and Take can use her kusarigama’s long chain to knock it out of the air and away from the trap that is presumably beneath. That door should have Nagi behind it, so we can save that for later and focus on exploring first.

I agree. Get the key and leave Nagi for later.

Deal with the minotaur first, everything else second. The key is not going anywhere, so it can wait.

    Shit. That’s not Yulia.

Take, her saying “I think she worshipped a goddess” is like if someone with your face said “I think she was a ninja.” Yulia’s faith is integral to her history. State very clearly, “Do not interfere in this battle, I reject your aid.”

As for the Minotaur, stay out of its reach. Use kunai to target the eyes, and use Force Lance and the kusarigama to target its knees. Employ Cloak and if necessary smoke bombs if it gets too close.

    Hopefully the marshmallow wasn't poisoned...

Take, use the totally-not-fake Yulia as a shield and let her face the minotaur while you remain behind her. Wait for a chance to get behind the minotaur and attack its legs from behind, trying to damage its knees. If you can limit its mobility it doesn't matter how strong the minotaur is, you should be able to either finish it off or stay out of its reach until it bleeds to death or exhausts itself.

I wanna say... I was expecting you guys to call this out immediately and was proud, but also a little disappointed that it seemed like all of you did or at least noted the possibility. I was therefore flabbergasted when you guys decided to trust her so quickly after such simple questions? I'm worried I screwed something up here to unfairly trick you?

That looks like decent battle plan. Though, be prepared in case the impostor tries to attack you and prepare to escape if situation gets too difficult.

Problem for us really was that we have no way of knowing what restrictions Tower could and would set on Yulia. There really would be no point at witch we could be sure this actually was real Yulia if those Tower restrictions were in place. We could have continued questioning, but only definitive result could have been exposing her as impostor.

As someone who did not read the first Tower past the start of floor... four, I think... I honestly had no idea what to think about this Yulia and whether her answers could be trusted (though her answers at least seemed to make sense, there was nothing obviously wrong with them). Apparently questioning her about her faith and her goddess would have been the way to reveal the truth, but I guess no one thought to ask about that.

In any case I hope the future floors won't all be just repeats of past floors with some changes.

Admittedly the only intended mistake I had Malia make during the questioning was not mentioning anything about Dahlia. Since she and basically everyone else has no idea what happened on the final floor and therefore no idea what happened to Dahlia, just that Dahlia disappeared after Yulia beat the Tower.

Nah while the first four will be similar as in 3 will be either the Tower Above or Tower Below route and four will again be the forest (though with a major difference) , five and onwards will be an entirely different path through the Tower.

See, I noticed the bit about Dahlia but I thought it was just one of Yulia’s many party members getting forgotten on a long list. I figured if Malia knew what happened to everyone else that she’d know Dahlia was bound to Yulia now. I probably should have been more paranoid, but I also felt my main evidence was meta and based on the previous run.

So, does this outcome seem unfair to you guys or?

Also don't be afraid to use meta knowledge if you have it. This is already an extremely meta story with basically no fourth wall and this sequel is heavily geared at least somewhat to play with people who experienced and have expectations and knowledge from the first one.

Hard to tell, considering that we don't know what the outcome actually is.

At the end of the day, at least for me, I think it was just an error in judgement on my part. I should have asked if the Dahlia slip-up was a mistake by the author or the character because I did notice it, and I probably should have played it safe and just done the Minotaur fight with Take alone. I know you won’t send us straight to a bad end for this, so I think it’s fine to let it play out.

(I will say I was at least considering siding with the Tower Below this run, but I think Malia has just made an enemy of Take so I guess we’re doing another “hunting Archdevils” run.)

If this was the end of Take's run, then it would be bit hard trap, but otherwise it seems pretty fair and comparable to the first run.

Okay good to hear and yeah not gonna be a bad end, but likely will make you lose the following fight and get Take assaulted.
