Sslvark unlimbers his hammer. "I am. I'll charge first, throw them off balance. You follow up." Action: Use class ability to give everyone in the party Distracting Charge.
Damar grins at Syleen's analysis of the situation. "Hey! that's really smart." he then looks around at the party and asks: "So who's sneaky here?"
“I'm not a front line fighter, so I will leave this in your hands. I think I will just sit back and watch over the pointy ears here” Nalana says pointing at the Syleen.
Syleen watches in shock as Sslvark suddenly charges towards the light, with Damar (in his beast form) following moments later. She facepalms and shakes her head. “I'm working with idiots.” She hears Nalana sigh nearby. “We are working with idiots.” The elf mumbles to herself as she follows closely behind the witch and the guard, using the guy as an improvised shield. "If you're going to charge we definitely need to scout first. Wouldn't want you to charge right into a rock, or a pit, or something." Syleen says to the lizardman. She then turns to Damar to answer his question: "Well, it's not me, as I already mentioned, and I guess it's not you or Sslvark..." The elf pauses and takes a quick look at the half-elf witch before adding "...or Nalana. That leaves us with only a few choices." She gives a questioning look to Keira, Brothel Saul, and the guard, before returning her gaze to Keira, the young human being the one that most looks like she might be suited for this kind of task...
Everyone please Edit your posts to reflect the fact that not only DIDN’T Ssylvark charge: but due to the light being over 200 feet away, without a clear path to it: he COULDN'T have.
As all posts are edited: here's some new information: there's something off about this light, it's too steady and pale to be a campfire...
“Yes, I believe you are correct.” Syleen nods after she takes a long look at the strange light. “It's way too steady for a regular campfire – and rather pale, too. Maybe a spell? An enchanted item of some sort? Or some sort of creature? We need to learn more before we act...”
As soon as those words are out of Ssylvark's mouth Keira winks at him and stalks forward into the gloom... Roll 17 Stealth +6 Total = 23 And vanishes from sight... A few minutes later the light moves suddenly and she comes bombing back twards the group pursued by three pale glowing orbs with skulls at their center and shouting "Ghosts! The forest is haunted!"
Nalana curses. Ghosts were not her specialty. “Unless someone wants to go and talk with them, I suggest going around them. There is no reason to engage them.”
Syleen facepalms. "Great, just what we needed." She says in an emotionless tone. "Hopefully no other enemies are close enough to have heard her..." She takes a deep breath and focuses in preparation for the coming fight. (Initiative: Roll: 16 Dexterity bonus: +2 Total: 18 I hope I did that right...)
OOC: Further Initiative Rolls: Keira: 16 (roll) + 2 (Mod) = 18 Dimmar: 17 (roll) + 1 (Mod) = 18 Ghosts: 2 (roll) + 2 (Mod) = 4 Final Turn Tracker: Keira = 18 Dimmar = 18 Syleen = 18 Nalana = 12 Sslvark = 7 Ghosts = 4 IC: Keira continues to run, easily outpacing the pursuit. The ghosts arc and snap in frustration, but simply continue to come after her none-the-less. Dimmar meanwhile shifts into his War-Form and howles a challenge preparing to do what he does best: kill. (Syleen, you're up!)
Syleen briefly considers her options, then decides not to waste any of her spells just yet. She takes out her dagger and holds it in her hand, ready to use it if necessary. She is already in the back of the party and decides to remain where she is, hoping that the three ghosts will focus on her companions.
(I guess it's my turn) Nalana takes out her knife and takes a step back, ready to defend herself or run - fighting isn't really her forte. Especially fighting ghosts.
Sslvark moves, placing himself in between Keira and the ghosts, before testing if they are actually ghosts... Actions: Move in between Kiera and "ghosts", attack nearest "ghost". Roll 16 (roll 12 + str mod +4)
(Please roll your attack roll GE...) PS: I cant believe it took me a week to figure out what was bugging me about that post! (Well, OK, I've been sick, but STILL!)
