So, sleeping in the cave is just as dangerous as outside, well good to know at least.

Sure get the Dildo, once we are back in the caves. Again, I don't encourage mindless wandering.

Hmm... before I make my choice here, I feel we need to know if Yulia or Cherchiel would be even capable of wearing that stuff. It does sound way too heavy for either of them.


...Does anything prevent us from resting until Goma gets more ingots? Beyond the obvious threat of Lumberer of course.
 
Full plate will be too heavy, except for Boarchiel but I don't think you want to wear the mask all the time.

Using all the materials, we could get two high quality weapons and a reinforcement of Yulia's armor. Chainmail for Cherchiel could be useful, but that leaves one high quality weapon and a normal one.

Ultimately, this is for Cherchiel/Boarchiel. Does Boarchiel want two weapons for offense or chainmail and a single weapon for defence? Could we get a regular sword for 1 and get a extremely durable shield for 3? Could you make a large durable weapon for 4?

I personally like (if possible) (6)chainmail with (1)sword and (3)shield all for Cherchiel. Second choice is two (3)weapons and Yulia's armor (4)reinforcement.

Either way this is great, we should get a spell from Alide since we may be getting an alchemist soon. I'd say an offensive spell to hopefully get a non ice skill in our arsenal. If it's ice again could Cherchiel learn it?

Oh also, don't hide behind us Voices Yulia. If you and Boarchiel want a strap then get it, either way should be fine.
 
Don't get the strap on. Now is not the time. You can have fun with that after you saved your world. Duty first. The tower is trying to corrupt you. Think of it this way: Every time you give in to your sexual urges you gain a corruption point. If you collect too many you lose your mind and the lives of everyone who depends on you. Considering that you're still on the early levels of the tower you already have a lot of corruption points from the OTG, the priests, Dahlia's magic ... you don't have corruption capacity to waste because you will need it later.

As for what to get, it's tough. We don't know how much full plate would hinder your spell-casting abilities for example. We don't know what type of weapons are considered simple. Is a crossbow simple? Also keep in mind that the blacksmith is a potential companion. Maybe you'll let him make his own gear in exchange for fighting to the top of the tower on your side.
Otherwise spears are generally good. Fair range, can be thrown, can be used to trigger traps from afar, can be anchored into the ground to ruin the day for charging enemies, and animals generally associate spears with teeth and horns and will be suitably scared of a horn/tooth of that size. An ultra-durable spear might carry you through the tower. Add a chainmail for Cherchiel and she will probably be a fairly decent fighter. Use the last ingot for a bow. Hopefully the bow won't see any of the abuse that would break it, otherwise you're already in trouble as a ranged fighter.

You still didn't ask Goma to identify the vial of unknown liquid for you, maybe you should do that.

I'm still for fighting the plant monster by the way. See if you can make fire bombs to throw at it using whatever burning material you can find, ideally oil. The goblins are too nice and I think defeating the goblin queen will get you closer to the Tower Below which you don't want.

Alright.

I'm against a Bow, bows require arrows, which we might have issues procurring. As such I rather have a weapon that won't have said limitation


I believe in Offense, so I'd say we get the best durable Spear for Cherchiel as well as a shield

That leaves us with 4 ingots, so I'd say we reinforce Yulia's outfit with it.


With this setup Cherchiel should be able to function as a tank while Yulia provides support from the rear. We could give the reinforcement to Cherchiel as well, but I believe that would be overkill.


So ultra durable spear (3) and shield (3) for Cherchiel and reinforced armor for Yulia(4)


Next up, i guess its finally time to fight one of the monsters. According to the queen we should start with the beast and I believe we should trust her judgement in this. Perhaps we can use pervert elf to our advantage. If he is to be sacrificed we can get the drop on that thing when its distracted.

We can also still get something from Alide, I am undecided if we should do that now, even if it means losing the free heal. I leave it up to my fellow voices for now. If we do go to her now, I vote for an offensive spell.

I stand by what I said before: (6)chainmail with (1)spear and (3)shield all for Cherchiel. This enables Yulia to play the supportive role she wanted to be right from the start. I can see the reasoning for protection on Yulia but against monsters I think a dedicated front line is better.

Afterword I agree the beast is first. If we do take the elf we need to make sure the elf doesn't become an extra opponent in the fight. Should we see if Goma could make us potions before the fight?
 
Well, that is not an ideal way to start out. I wasn't expecting you to just waltz in there like this. But I suppose I should have been more clear.

I need you to snap out of it and fast. These are obviously illusions. Cherchiel, give Yulia a slap if need be.

Given that the beast seems to be fond of trickery, I'm not sure we can rely on Boarchiel here. This seems like a fight where we need our wits about us.



Cherchiel will have to take point and protect Yulia and Muma. We don't know what exactly the beast does, but since it's fond of corruption, expect some slimy goo. You have a shield so make sure to protect yourself with that.

Actually, since we have pervert elf, lets see what it does to him. That should give us some intel on how to fight it.
 
Agreed on no Boarchiel, everyone needs to get then keep the senses for this fight.

Any monster I can think of would be a high level and dangerous DnD monster... So I'm conserned. Step one is know what the enemy is and judging by everyone's reactions mind magic is at play.

I wouldn't trust the elf, I'd even say kill him now so he can't cause issues once we let him loose. Killing him also frees everyone up for the battle strat.

Cherchiel in front, Yulia/Muma behind and remain in contact with each other at all times, Yulia keep your left hand on Cherchiel's left shoulder, Muma stay on Yulias left shoulder. No matter what you see/hear make sure to keep contact and reassure yourself that the person your touching is your friend. Mind magic will try and pit you against one another, don't let that happen. Each of you should explain what each of you see to break down what it truly is.

Stay together and try and assess what we're dealing with, do not get closer until you know more. Yulia could try an icicle on the light or the illusion.
 
I knew that ranger was up to no good.

Obviously we aren't going to sacrifice Cherchiel, we just invested a huge amount of ingots into her!

We also can't give up any of Yulia's power at this point. We still have to defeat at least two potentially murderous monster on this floor alone.

That leaves Muma. But I think If we do that, Yulia's mental state will suffer. We can't afford that.


So no to sacrifices.

We did free Julius on the last floor though. Any chance that's a friend of yours? That should give us some points.


Otherwise, it seems our only option is to fight.


That arrow seems to be bad news, but that is the case with all arrows. Cherchiel should be well protected with her armor and shield. Still, we might actually get some use out of that Great cure in case anyone gets hit. These arrows will most likely do the same then the ones we have(charm on impact)

As for battle tactics, standing behind Cherchiel as we advance on Ash seems to be the way to go. Lets cast Energize on Cherchiel to make sure she is in top form. Once Cherchiel is close enough stick him with the spear. If he is a bowman, this fight is over the moment we get into close range. Yulia should focus on support (Cure and heal as needed) and stay behind.

Alright we're in a tight spot here. Rush the target and it's harder to focus on blocking. Proceed slowly and he gets to shoot all the shots he wants. Icicle did not seem like a particularly fast spell, so a shootout is not in our favor. Muma this is where you tell us your an ace shot :p

I think our best shot is energizing both Yulia and Cherchiel while quickly reaching the demon. Not full sprint as you need to block, but walking to him is not gonna work. Once up close you need to fill him full of holes quickly.

This is a particularly nasty fight for us since a single charm will likely mean the end for us. With that I propose using our last adrenaline on Cherchiel so her reactions are at peak form to block the arrows. I don't believe the gas grenades were thick enough to block sight, however if the archer is able to stay away from us you should use them to cut off his retreat. He could hold his breath, but doing so while trying to pull back a bow is quick difficult.

Yulia, we have to work on your reactions. The moment the enemy was distracted with draining the elf was your chance to blast it and for Cherchiel to charge. Letting a demon feed to be at full strength, transform into its proper form, pull out its weapon and take aim at you while you just stand there wasn't smart.

But what is done is done. The offered deals are no good. You'd lose your companions, the reward, and the fighting experience for nothing.

Have Cherchiel charge and you support her with Energize and Icicle. Don't be surprised if it can teleport and attack you from behind, arch demons have lots of tricks up their sleeves. Try to avoid getting shot, obviously, but if you do, keep in mind that this demon wants to keep you apart from Cherchiel. You will never get to use that dildo Dahlia offered if either of you succumbs to the demon, to never again touch each other. Don't believe the demon's lies, your lust will forever stay unfulfilled if you don't win so give it hell!

(Let's hope this is enough to cause whatever lust-inducing magic Yulia and Cherchiel will be put under to backfire. Yandere counters succubus! I think?)

This was technically a loss, but secretly... Yulia et al... Had in fact two extra lives... The Halo and another secret extra life of which one has been expended. It is a great loss.

... No amount of planning could have seen that coming. We didn't see the demon level... But that felt like it was the floor boss. Muma was the bravest fairy ever :(

If I recall Alide was not a safe area... Fuck, I just brought up memories of when we meet Muma, she predicted this... I think the only safe place is the caves with Dreg. If Alide can heal the unconscious then sure, otherwise we need to avoid Lumberer.

We lost our friend and guide... Cherchiel, if you can hear us, take Yulia and Muma to Alide since it's closer. If you have trouble moving, take us to the caves instead to avoid Lumberer. We should rest Muma later with her flower :(
 
Poor Muma. She did what she had to do, even though she knew it would kill her. She died a hero. Send her off appropriately.

What happened to Muma sucks, but overall you all did good. Cherchiel charged, knowing Yulia would heal her, well done.
Yulia didn't freeze up and healed, so that worked out. You even resisted an Archdemon of Lust enough to stab it in the face instead of falling for it which is quite an unexpected feat.

Now it's time to pick up the pieces. See if the demon left anything behind. Knowing the tower it probably dropped something useful. See if the blacksmith or a tailor can fix the torn equipment. Ask Alide if getting healed will extend to your companions. You don't need it right now, but it's good to know if that is an option.
Consider requesting armor from Alide. If I understand the rules correctly it will also replace your missing clothes. Along with it you can get a mental heal. I'm not sure if it does more than restore mana, but either way that seems more important than health right now.
 
Fairies expire when their task is done. This is the only consolation I can offer.

We have quite a few decisions to make, so lets get to it.

From the three treasures, I believe the Horn to be the most sound. Naturally, it will be more valuable if we gain more allies, but I imagine a horn buffed, energized Boarchiel would be quite formidable on its own. Well, assuming the horn and energize stacks of course. Perhaps there is even a loophole, if we where to quickly switch the horn blower out

I believe we should exchange the bow and spellbook. Since we already have an angel companion, I don't think it makes much sense to now opt for demon powers. Especially since we don't know the price of them.

Finally, did we use Alide's free heal? If so we need to get something from her services. I vote for another support spell.

It appears the goblin queen has something to say to us, so that should be our next destination.
