Funnily enough so far i had only one story that i would view as the classic CHYOA formula. Marcie is kinda pissed about this. As for updates, i would suggest having a schedule and sticking with it. Of course the schedule should be managable, but something like "I publish one chapter per week" really helps in setting a clear goal to work towards. This applies to the writing process as well, sometimes the best thing you can do is just say, alright i will write one hour per day, doesn't matter if it's garbage, the important thing is that you get in a rythm. Obviously this all depends how much time you can invest in something that should just be a hobby. If you just can spend one hour per week writing, that is perfectly fine as well. The important part is having a clear schedule. Well, that's just my view on it, every author is different, but might want to give it a try and see if it works out for you.
I try to write 1,000 words every night, because it's a small enough amount that you can be done in like half an hour if the story's flowing well, and otherwise left to my own devices, I'll do like five or ten times that in one night and then get burned out for a week.

Keito is pretty much a borderline sociopath, who I don’t even love as a character that much but he’s useful to picking up the conflict ball. Usually his attempts at being a master schemer rarely ever actually work. My oldest story was more developed when I had that one, but I deleted that a few years back when I was in one of my moods to delete my account which tends to happen about every month or so. Not to mention, the few times I feel like writing a story for the main site, it just won’t let me do it. Not even saving chapters as a draft. Straight up corrupts itself and deletes everything when I try. Ultimately, I haven’t bothered much trying to write stories anymore. I’m 25. If I did, it’s just creepy old dudes writing porn. There’s many, many, real life issues that get in the way when I desire to do something, doesn’t help that the site for whatever reason straight up wouldn’t even let me save my draft of a story last time I tried. You probably would have been more interested in my previous story, which involved a coven of witch sisters living in the woods getting up to nonsense adventures. That one was much more developed. Since the site straight up doesn’t allow me to save or create stories anymore, I straight up, cannot make more, even if I wanted to and had an idea.
Yes Yeah, i see there are a lot of people here constantly asking to delete their account and what not. I don't think you should delete your stuff tough. I wish i still had the crappy MarioxDragonball fanfiction i wrote at 14. Also, I am pretty sure that with 25 you are still one of the younger authors here. So that's not an excuse. To have a program like Word is a given, the site has eaten my edits once as well. Make sure to back your stuff up. Oh, i wouldn't say that i wasn't interested. The story had potential to be pretty good, it simply stopped too early
XD it is indeed a weird username. I actually can't even remember where it came from. I used it once long ago as my pseudonym for writing porn so as not to connect my non-porn writing with my porn writing and it just kind of stuck.
For fun I decided to count how many sex scenes there are in Ruby's path. Seemingly the answer is 8. With at least one choice leading to one in every possible route at the time of writing. Gina and Marcie made some really really good choices to have not run into a single one XD. Although taking the stairs does bypass like 5 of them to be fair. I do have to make more sex scenes I think and make them a bit harder to avoid. Edit: Actually two of them specifically only happen if you choose to kiss the drug dealer while high.
God damnit Well, Gina got a bad end, most readers would just backtrack and choose the other option, so it's hardly a fair assesment I actually don't think having a "win" path is a bad thing, altough i do think the Stairs path was probably a bit too easy of a way out. Unless you bring that back to screw reader over once they have to choose a second time.
The stairs will definitely be a bad option at some point. As for the win path, there's definitely room for consensual sex on a path that's still a viable winning direction. Actually one of the existing sex scenes is a non-con scene that doesn't end the game and allows you to simply continue going so, more stuff like that is definitely an option.
