Alright, surprisingly enough that did not result in some sort of penalty.

@engin, technical question, but could we force the encounter of a floor monster by choosing to remain in one room until it shows up?

I mean technically there's no logical reason why you couldn't as long as the chosen room allows for the floor monster's appearance. So, not the rest area and the church is not technically part of the floor.

I was writing a chapter in Clumsy Ninja Kanami where a "Greg" shows up, that's when this must have slipped in.

The "pure women" is almost certainly referring to the beating the angel gave you. Since you did that it feels like a waste not to try this path out.


It could however also be connected to the smoke in the room. You have to confess in order to become "pure"


In any case, I believe this is a situation where it's worth taking the risk. I vote to breath the smoke in.

 

I'm sensing a theme for this floor, and i don't like it. I say no more listening to things on this floor. This place reeks of a cult and I think their just trying to play nice. They're trying to make you an obedient sheep and that will not help us on our climb. Think of this voice as just another trap and lets move on.

I say do not breathe in the possibly harmful, or otherwise, smoke. Lets keep going left.

Okay, smoky room.
I mean... the angel offered no benefit, but I can't see our ""lovely"" tower doing this a second time, in a row. Let's answer some questions about just how your mask works. Does it magically know what is and isn't harmful and only filters out harmful things, or is it more of a catch all things bigger than x size sort of deal. If the answer is magically/inately knows what's harmful, don't unmask and retreat for now, if the answer is catch all things bigger then x, unmask. I sense this floor might be themed around the religious medieval journey to purity, and might require some trials to pass through. Also, just in case it's slipped your mind, even though you're very smart, penitence means "feeling or showing sorrow and regret for having done wrong; repentant" so it'd be best to outwardly talk about your "sins" which this area of the tower seems to deem as kinks and the like.

Ya, i'm kinda lost on this one. On one hand maybe this room wants you to release yourself and on the other maybe it wants you to defeat yourself.

Maybe try a heal on the smoke? It's not a cleanse but who knows. Other than that either ignore the smoke or shoot an icicle at it.

Hm, regardless that outcome was pretty favorable. I think you are starting to get the hang of this.

It may be a boring option, but I am somewhat annoyed by how quickly you run out of Mana all the time, as such I vote for the permanent mana upgrade.
