Good to know everyone, even Goma, is feeling better

So first things first; Cherchiel and Isalia what do you know right now? Did the mimic transfer it's memories as well? If not Yulia please catch them up on what has happened.

I was hoping that even if Yulia didn't recognize them that our Voice vision would see more, but the tower works in mysterious ways and it seems you would need to recognize them to some degree. Unfortunate since I would have liked to talk to the guild about transporting people, but that may compromise us.

With all four of us and Isalia able to recognize people, we should return to save more people. If we could save perhaps the guild first we could then ask for assistance if there are a lot of people.

 

The question thus is, if we want to go to Acension again or to the Old mind first.

I'm once again fairly neutral on the subject. So, I guess we can save the people first.

Since the mimics are still out and about we should to something to mark the ones we saved. Barring other options, giving them all a small nick with a sword should do the trick.

This might piss the Old Mind off, but eh.

 

Or weaken the Old Mind. I feel like you don't keep people in tubes for no reason...

I say rescue first, get possible reward from town or guild. Then we can discuss if we go to the Old Mind.

Also remember they don't think they're mimics so cutting people in town is probably a bad idea until we have a solid authority figure. Hence we free the guild people first if they are in there.

 

Clarification: I mean nicking the people we saved, not the mimics running around in town. That might indeed cause issues lol

I agree Yulia! I think it's time we put an end to the problem and these tricks! I think i can even help defeat him by removing him from the past, but before i do so i need the go ahead and help of my fellow Voice. Is it worth saving or a waste of space?

So 3 and a half mind eaters to deal with this time. We know they can do spells but perhaps we now have new ways to fight them? We were told a few times that touch was their greatest weapon... But maybe that was a lie planted by the mimics. I don't think we should openly hug them, but getting close and cutting them up may not be as dangerous as we thought.

Our biggest thing is keeping our wits about us and lowering their ability to do so. We need Goma to blow the horn, Yulia cast blizzard on them then prepare to cast undermine if they try to use spells. I'm glad we had so many mana potions so get ready to drink one if needed.

So unless I'm wrong, Cherchiel and Isalia should rush the left most mind eater. Watch each other's backs and take these things our one at a time. Yulia should provide blizzard and icicle support while Goma prepare to heal any wounds if needed.

As we know they like to play tricks and will probably attempt to dominate someone. Yulia we should attempt to Great Cure them if possible, but it may not work. The best solution is to take out the mind eater responsible but that could be tricky in a fighting situation. Regardless it needs concentration so blizzard should help with that.

 

Oh yeah sure, at this point Being X is going down.

At first glance, I thought this would be a cakewalk, given that Yulia defeated three of the buggers alone, but it's actually quite a bit more tricky.


It annoys me to admit it, but we are running low on mana potions. Given that there will be at least one more fight after this on this floor, we probably have to be a bit more conservative with our ressources.


Ideally, I would like to see us trough this fight without the use of a single mana potion, but I suppose that is wishful thinking given that we are on x2 mana and the mindflayers mana draining abilities

Goma, sound the horn. Since you are only armed with a dagger I like you to stay back and provide support via heals.

Cherchiel turn into Boarchiel and go ham on these fools. There is no reason, to be cautious about our mental state anymore, this might have very well be another trick after all

Yulia cast blizzard and energize on Cherchiel as well as Isalia. I authorize the use of one mana potion. I believe it is extremely important that we keep two back for the boss. After that, attack with your rapier.

Isalia(as well as Yulia) attack in tandem with Cherchiel. That should allow you to take the mindfuckers down fairly quickly.


I admittedly did a bit of meta gaming with this one. This should see us through in a worst case scenario.

I'm against using undermine we get more bang for our buck with energize, again, due to 2x mana we will burn trough Yulia's supply like crazy. We really have to be frugal here.



Oh, and I only now noticed but Yulia's panties are still torn fom the spider encounter I presume. I don't think it matters all that much, but they should be repaired, right?

 

I'm a little concerned with Boarchiel only because while straightforward i worry for trickiery that could cause her to hit an ally. But taking them down quickly with a single punch would also be effective so I could see it's benefits XD. Would it be better to just Borma up and all out attack?

Now to the main event... This problem needs to go. We must now exercise our Voice powers and erase the problem!

 

I get the issue, but we are getting more bang for our buck with Boarchiel. I think Blizzard will make it very hard for the mindfuckers to concentrate, as shown in the last fight. I think we are good just going all out.

Oh, and yeah, unbirth the fucker.

Not gonna lie the idea of erasing him from history like that was such a fun idea I really wanted to make it work, but... unfortunately that just isn't how that would work.

Well, Yulia won't be useful for a while but on the bright side, all characters are still alive. That certainly could have gone much worse.

Incidentally, I noticed that it says temporarily. Does this mean until we leave the floor or could we technically just wait this one out?

Also it is totally fair to assume that undermine would multiply like that, but I have been kind of making it a mostly static effect simply for easier game balance.
