    WELL. THAT WENT WELL!

Feels like that thing is more a curse then anything, since the effect persists I imagine it's the case that even if we use the mask in battle we would then still found something else to hurt do get rid of the bloodthirst effect

So yeah, sounds like more trouble then it's worth

Do you think Martin can make a ballgag? Uh, probably not

This is a bit of a long shot but should we tie Yulia up with the spidersilk rope/the tentacle dagger?

Not just to prevent her from chomping down on the rest of the girls but because she has a Bondage level 3 fetish

It might just make Yulia horny enough to overpower the bloodlust

Of course it might also help to strip her naked in the process to tie into her degradation and exhibition fetish

Thats five levels of fetish at once! That gotta be enough to overpower it!

    (I'm not a pervert, I swear)

Granted, in that case we would only trade a bloodthirsty Yulia to a horny Yulia but that's still an improvment. While I definitely think the girls are capable of overwhelming Yulia, that is only if she's not usng her magic.
If her bloodthirst actually causes her to go full out with all her spells we are looking at a huge problem

There is one final solution for this, but it's definitely a last resort. If Yulia has to attack someone in the party, she should focus on Cherchiel who has the halo, so in the worst case scenario she would come back

...that's at least what I would say if it doesn't look like some poor sap is are trying to ambush our group, so it looks like we can solve this issue relativly easy. Good job spotting the trap Isalia

Oh yeah, I don't think it's an immaterial trap given the chapter. So I imagine there are enemies behind those slits. If I had to guess, Mermaids with spears to poke through.

As to how to get through here...I think our best course of action is to have a energized Cherchiel move forward as bait, then once the enemy takes the bait we have the rest of the group rush forward

Of course actual battle strategy will have to wait until we have a better grasp on what we are dealing with.

I don't think we need to worry about Yulia's bloodthirst for now. It seems like it'll wear off once we kill someone. Which shouldn't be a problem, we just need to wait until someone is stupid enough to try and fight us.

Yeah, let’s not use the leech mask anymore, I don’t like seeing Yulia like this.

We should probably get some info about where each of these paths go from them first. Were we heading into siren territory? We know where the sahuagin are, but what about the mermaids? Do they know where we need to go to leave the floor?

I also think it’d be worth it to see what they could offer us if we side against the sahuagin. I’m not saying we have to take a side in this war, just that we should see if it’s worth our time. I’m not a fan of the sahuagin so I wouldn’t mind taking them down a peg before we leave. There’s also the issue of Aqua. He mentioned the weapons only work because he’s ordering demons to fire magic into them. If we got rid of them the sahuagin would lose their advantage. Could the sirens (or mermaids for that matter) offer us enough to take their side? Might as well ask.

Until we find some way to counter the mask's effect, it seems indeed best to store it away for now. Still, it might come in handy if we ever found ourselves in a pinch

Sounds pretty good as far as question goes. I also like to know if they have any idea what's guarding the exit. I found it surprising that we still know absolutely nothing about that.

Can't really say I'm a fan of the fishguys either but thing is, we have to kill one of these guys so I don't think our standing with the sirens will be pretty good.

    unless...

Goma can you puppet one of them into attacking us? (Preferably one of the guys.)

Then Yulia can finish the guy and we can claim self defense. Everybody's happy!

At any rate, we can definitely hear them out

Is Yulia still considered Bloodthirsty? Looks like it's not a one and done curse. We should ask Alide about how to cure it on the next floor.

And we now know what we need to get past: The Leviathan, a giant carnivorous whale. It's obviously gonna be durable, and it may have water control magic or something similar to the kraken. I think our 'get it to swallow a bomb' strategy is probably our best option, but we might be able to sneak past it like on floor five?

And we've gotten the pros and cons of fighting the sahuagin. At a minimum, we'd take whatever item they had from Levateinn's treasury (probably the scepter), and we could potentially work out a deal with the mermaids and/or sirens to get the cloak and whatever the mermaids got. I'd say *if* we can get a guarantee of at least two of the items, it might be worth it to take on the sahuagin, especially if we just need to kill the king or Aqua. There'd also be a certain satisfaction to gathering up several of Levateinn's old treasures after everything she's done to us. But I'll hear what the other voices have to say on this since it would be a big commitment.

And there's the catch, these guys not only want us to slay fishmen but also mermaids, which seems awfully greedy given their position of imminent destruction

Furthermore, while I'm pretty confident about the fishmen, the mermaids can use magic and could dispell our water breathing stuff, so if anything that would be the faction we should align ourself with.

But in all honesty, I don't know. None of them strike me as particularly trustworthy. And this is not our element. As powerful as our group is, the fact that we have to rely on outside magic to even be able to breathe just makes me want to leave this floor as soon as possible.

So I advocate for going after the floor boss

Hi everyone. I am the new guy. I have a ton of questions. But first the urgent stuff.

I do not think wearing the lech mask is a good idea. Maybe you can try to get an enemy to put it on, but that would also buff him. probably just trade it.
As for the current situation with the three factions I think we should take a moment to get our thoughts together.
There are 3 factions at war with each other and a servent of levateinn who is supplying everyone with nuclear weapons and who tries to get her palace back. In my opinion if you wanna interfere with the conflict, you should go for agua. The king seems more misguided than actually a bad person and we know nothing about the queen. Also if we would kill both of them, The sirens would be the only ones with weapons and they would then win the war. If we take out agua instead we would be in favour of both the sirens and the mermaids, maybe we even get a reward from both. Also I might add that if we do nothing the king will be good friends with agua, so there is a chance he helps him to take out the girl guarding the palace (what's her name again?).

In summary I just think we should try killing agua, minimising the influence of the tower below and at the same time earn some rewards.

Regardless you should ask the sirens if you get a reward for killing agua instead. Or maybe they would even be on board with helping us fight him?

As for the problem of getting our breathing dispelled, I had the idea of telling him we killed the girl at the palace and then fight him there when he looks for it, she would probably help us also. The only problem is if he has a way of finding out without going there we are in trouble.

But in the end I am against advancing already. I would at least talk with these guys a little more and maybe the girl guarding the palace. Therehhas to be a way to get rid of agua.

Welcome new Voice! We can finally break ties again!

I do think there's merit to attacking Aqua. I feel like Levateinn reclaiming her throne would come back to bite us. If we kill him (maybe by having the sirens going to him for weapons, and then we ambush him?) it would return the civil war to a stalemate and put a halt on the plan to bring Levateinn back. Killing Aqua wouldn't put us on any one side, since his removal would be beneficial for the mermaids and sirens and the sahuagin have a grudge against him for murdering the guards who accompanied Yulia when we met him.

My stance remains the same, alltough it looks like I'm outvoted here.

I see very high risk for very little gain. The situation on this floor is a mess and I don't see our interference changing it for the better.

As such, I'm still for moving on.

I understand your point, we don't get much out of interfering. I was expecting either help or a reward for killing agua, but it makes sense since they don't know it will make the weapons useless.

On the other hand it also feels pretty bad and selfish to just ignore the whole thing.

Maybe tell them it will make the weapons useless if we kill agua and that they get either that or nothing.

They should have to agree to either reward or help us, since the only other option is to surrender to the Sahuagin.

And if not then do as gambio says and move on.

Well let's see what our third voice says.

I still think we should kill Aqua. Not just for selfless reasons of defusing this war. From a purely practical perspective, I don't like leaving a plan that will let Levateinn rule a floor. If it were any other Archdemon, I'd be willing to back down. But Aqua is here as part of a plan to reinstate Levateinn as ruler of this floor. And given the personal grudge between us and her, I think her getting a huge boost in influence will come back to bite us.

I think we should reveal the truth to the sirens, and maybe the mermaids as well, that killing Aqua will end the weapons. As things stand now, they have two real options: provide us some kind of aid or reward for us to kill Aqua, or accept death or slavery to the Sahuagin.

We should put the ball in their court and then go to the mermaids. What kind of rewards can either the sirens or mermaids offer us to kill Aqua and remove the Sahuagin's advantage? Magic items? Aid in killing Aqua? Aid in dealing with the Leviathan? I say we present this offer to the sirens and mermaids, and see if what they can offer is enough to get a majority of voices onboard with killing Aqua.

I'm not sure I want to take the new offer. I don't know how effective a plan we could come up with that only subdues the Leviathan. Use Blizzard to freeze most of the water around it? I still think 'throw a bomb down its throat' is probably the best plan, and I don't think it would survive that. Unless the Siren Queen has a suggestion, I think we should stick with our original plan of killing Aqua and then getting help against the Leviathan.

  19. Gambio

Ah, a new companion, I was admittedly considering the possibility, since it seems we can theoretically get one per floor(I wager we screwed up with Lemiel last floor)

The queen said she provides us with a way to subdue Leviathan, so we can just leave that up to her.

I'm inclined to take the offer. Altough, I do feel we should get the cloak as well. Without the demon weapons and a floor boss at their disposal it is obvious that the Siren will win this war.
That should be worth more then one measly soldier.

    How about this

We offer that cloak to our new companion and once Yulia has completed the tower she can move back and return it.

I agree with gambio a new companion very good, even if they don't give us the cloak I would do it, although I think there is no harm in trying.

But you guys should definitely ask for a little more details first, especially who is your companion and what can he do.
I also wouldn't mind knowing how she can read our thoughts, maybe that's the cloak?
And what exactly is her plan for the leviathan since we are the one that should face him I think we have the right to know how she wants to deal with him.
