I had all the pieces, but I did not solve this puzzle. I need to step up my game.

I guess this means the Abyss is still keen on turning Yulia into an Archdemon, through any means necessary.
 
Wow, that was intense. The beginning definitely gave me an oh fuck moment. Good thing we popped that adrenaline or instead of absolute victory this would have been game over

Altough, I don't want to spoil the tight dramatic victory but shouldn't blizzard have done 24 damage instead thanks to Yulia's faithless stats?

Good job everyone, while this floor had some pretty nasty stuff, I think this is your best floor clear yet. Definitely since floor 3 onwards

Yulia, as you sure have surmised my plan was to remove Lamiels visor the moment we arrive on the next floor. We might have to postpone that for a bit, given the bad shape everyone is in. But it needs to happen.
Lamiel is still an agent of the One True God. Our interests may have aligned but OTG is no more our friend then the abyss. I'm telling you this now so that you can mentally prepare yourself


Since Isalia is still berserk and our healer unconcious we are in an extremely vulnerable position. I'm not sure if there is a grace period for the floor monster when the group ascends the floor, but yeah Yulia we need you awake

Until that happens...Goma puppet Isalia and make her do something more productive then stabbing her team members. Maybe a masturbation session until Yulia wakes up?

If it takes too long, we might have to tie Isalia up with the Spidersilk rope or knock her out(boring)
 
I actually had a lot of trouble deciding how much blizzard should do in this fight and ended up basically just deciding it should pretty much just counter The Abyss own Blizzard bonus, with a bit extra... Though admittedly I did forget to factor in Faithless, I don't know if I would have applied it anyway, given how little effect Blizzard would logically have on The Abyss anyway. Still I did completely forget about Faithless' bonus, and that is a mistake. Apologies.
 
I’m going to have to disagree with removing Lemiel’s visor. It would be one thing to do so in the middle of a fight like what happened with Cherchiel. But Lemiel has been trustworthy so far and does not deserve to be stabbed in the back like this. While our relationship with the One True God and the Tower Above is complicated, Lemiel herself has done right by us. Even if it was something she was ordered to do, she was ready to sacrifice herself to the Abyss for us. It would be needlessly cruel to spare her that fate and then immediately render her our prisoner.

Also, even from a purely cynical point of view, this would be a bad call. So far, we’ve managed to avoid conflict with the Tower Above. But an intentional act of aggression could alienate them. Or worse, we could have them come after us like the Tower Below. I say we continue the balancing act of staying in the good graces of the Tower Above without formally siding with them.

I don't trust Lemiel. She wasn't ready to sacrifice herself for us, she was ready to do so for her god, she will absolutely stab us in the back if required. She won't even have choice in that matter, she is bound to the OTG

We have a template of what happens when a visor is removed with Cherchiel. Cherchiel may have started out fairly submissive towards Yulia but quickly regained her strong willed personality. She has also gotten fairly powerful, certainly way beyond her initial strength as an angel.

I don't see the removal of her visor as enlaving Lemiel to us. I see it as saving her from a psychopath who send her on a suicide mission.

Lastly, while the concern that this may piss off the OTG, is understandable. I don't think that is the case given that one of Lemiels first line was for Yulia to use her as she wishes. We are merely making use of his offering.

I reaffirm my stance towards taking of the visor.
 
I have to disagree with removing the visor. She helped us escape and not lose anyone, it would definitely cause issues with the OTG, and I do not think they are brainwashed by the visor. It would be wrong to do this and a bad move possibly with OTG. Also we are all very weak and don't need to be fighting more right now.

Good that we are on a beach, everyone relax right now and recover. That was a close escape.
 
Well, looks like we’ve got another floor to explore. And it seems this one is another large and populated one like floors four and five.

For now, it seems we’ve got little choice but to cross the bridge and look for ways to breathe underwater. Maybe alchemical ingredients could be an option thanks to Goma? There could also be enchanted items and utility spells. And we should also look into new weapons and spells we can use underwater. I’m worried throwing knives and the horn won’t work effectively underwater.
 
So, dregs power are dream based. That's good to know. Definitely worth to keep in mind. If we do end up fighting him at one point.

So yeah, we obviously aren't going to go swimming. That sounds like a death sentence right now.

We definitely got lucky that we got that Lightning strike for Yulia. I imagine that will come quite in handy.

Mermaids and the likes probably means at least some sort of mind control attacks. Doubtful it will be at the same level as the mindflayers, but its worth to keep in...mind.

I know it's a bit annoying now that we just got it back but...do we want Cherchiel to run around in that huge armor of hers? Not just because of the obvious danger of falling into the deep end but the heat might also be a concern. Maybe we should have the girls give their inputs how they are currently faring.

Anyways, lets go moving. I'd like Isalia to take charge and check if any of these bridges are trapped. Don't need any nasty suprises.
 
That one was a genuine case of non pun intended but I hate writing non pun intended so whenever something like this happens I have to acknowledge the pun.

I’d say we go to the right, towards the higher up structure, to get a better view of the area. Right now, I don’t think there’s anything specific I can think to look for.
Unless, Goma knows of any alchemical ingredients around here that can be used to create water breathing potions. In which case I say we go straight forward to the island across the sandbar. But if not, prioritize getting a better vantage point.

Cherchiel: trashy
Goma: swimsuit challenge
Isalia: fetish gear.
Yulia: the most sane of the bunch, if it weren't for the mask that turns it into some sort of psychopath outfit

questions:

Is our equipment kept here for safekeeping or are we taking it with us? What about the rest of the stuff we don't usually wear like the spidersilk gown or the demonic dress?

Does Yulia still wear the hairband and the silver ring?

Yup, agree that going for the higher elevation island first is the best course of action

This might also be a good place to rest safe from the kraken, altough these things do tend to have absurdly long tentacles

here's the new map, this one might change drastically depending on how the whole above below water feature turns out

The equipment just removed and all previously owned and unworn equipment count as being in some nebulous infinite inventory space on Yulia's person.

The hairband and ring are still be worn.
 
Yulia should open up with a Blizzard, and then shift over to offensive spells; alternate between Icicle and Lightning Strike to see which is more effective against the birds as those are our best long-ranged options. Goma should blow the horn, and then take on a defensive position with Cherchiel and Isalia. Be ready to strike the birds when they dive down for an attack, and Cherchiel should focus on protecting Yulia. This is our first fight in the swimsuits and one of only a few against flying enemies, so let's focus on fighting cautiously and getting through this without casualties.
